You know those giant banners the AFL have, the ones the players run though to start the game.

Don't you think one of them would be awesome to have at the Birchgrove Game.

Anyone know how to make them?

Something like this, but maybe not that big.

This gives the impression that it is just rolls of crepe paper, sticky taped together?

Wouldn't the sticky tape make it too hard to run through?

what about a more permanent one, made out of fabric. Could be used for all games

what about a canvas banner with a bit where the players run through where you put the crepe paper so the banner is a bit more permanent. :correct:

Its RL, not AFL...sorry, I think its a bad idea.

Anyone see the WT cheergirls at SFS v Saints, dressed in old style gear?
Looked good.

That raises a good point.

Can we get the Wests Tigers Cheergirls out to Birchgrove?

Would be a great idea...time constraints may prevent it though.

I'd recommend spending the money on something a bit more permanant, even ignoring the fact that its an AFL gimmick, thus rendering it gay.

I have alot of experience in this field - I have moonlighted as a member of the Collingwood Cheersquad for a number of years.

These banners are great, but they are an arse to make unless

What does it actually require Dallas? Rolls of Crepe Paper I assume?

I just think a good banner for the Birchgrove Game, with its media exposure would allow for some good photo shoots (ie publicity for the Maggies)

funny co-incidence that at the bottom of this thread (when i was viewing it anyway) that there is an advertisement for 'colour banners from $176'

sorry if no-one else sees the humour in this but my wife failed to see the funny side to it and i felt the need to share it with someone else who may appreciate it
