We were never in the hunt today and got lapped 64-10. Not much you can say about it really. Next week we have our first home game at Campbelltown so hopefully with a week of work on the tackle bags and a home crowd the lads can turn it around like they did last year when they backed up a similar result against the dogs with a great win. We have the Cobras in the NSW Cup at 3:00pm. We'll have the Matts playing SW Academy before that (1:30), and SG Ball will take on the Titans afterwards (4:30). So a good full day of football to enjoy. (The SG Ball game was put back to accommodate the Titans flying down on the day) |

Let them get too big a lead too early and just could never get into the game. Not much else I can really say. A few players really busted their guts out there and got nothing to show for it. And a few players didn't pull their weight and the Jets got plenty to show for it. Out attack looked very flat today. Very different from the first half against Norths last week. Highlight of the day was meeting up Tommy, and being treated with dignity by the Bluebags supporters who could have really ripped in to us silly enough to be dressed in Black and White. ![]() Chin up boys!!! |

You guys can be nice if you want. I'm not, you can keep on calling me negative and non-supporting all you want, I don't really care. Pathetic, heartless display. None of them looked like they wanted to be there. The club can make no excuses this season. They have the WT players back, they have imported some decent players, haven't had to move training facilities again, have a sponsor & merchandise. If the team doesn't perform then the problem goes deeper than what is displayed on the field. Show some pride in the jersey !!! |

Gezzzuss! 64-10. Maybe my Easter commitments came as a blessing as I was champing at the bit to get out to Henson. Extremely disappointing. |

There's no way that the efffort of guys like Luke Young, Corey Valicky and Nick Taylor were pathetic and heartless. Some guys didn't have good games, some gave up, and some continued to bust their nuts. The penalty count didn't help us but we just didn't do anything as a team to stop the slide. And when the game heads that way you have to work as a team to get back into it. That was the disappointing bit really. As for the Newtown fans being nice, I beg to differ. They really are just AFL fans with nothing to do on a Saturday and no concept of the game of rugby league. There's not many games that I miss at Henson and they really are just morons. The people who run the club and all the volunteers they get are great. And I thank them for putting on good quality league in the inner city. But the people on the hill should stay on King St looking at each others tight t-shirts. Ah that feels better. |

Well they did still have the AFL posts up and ready!Yep I agree that Nick Taylor has been very impressive in the last two games. Nice back slam he gave his opposite number when defending our line too. Ziggy (Vulcan) just kept putting in as did Luke Young as demonstrated with his gutsy line break, then streaked the field, palmed of defenders left right and centre, ran the steeplechase, built the colosseum and finally setup a thrilling try under the posts. Shannon also busted his guts as normal at the back. Cuttler didn't play as well as he did in the first round, but I'm sure he will bounce back and show us his full potential. And if he does we should be in good stead. |
