A message for the Magpie faithful from the Chairman:

Today I reached agreement with another former Magpie junior who has returned home to the nest. Gray Viane has agreed to terms for the remainder of this season and will provide the team with the necessary toughness and experience in leadership we currently lack in the forwards. As you know he has spent the last 4 years in England playing in the English Super League and every club he has played for over there, he has been their leading try scorer. In one instance he scored 24 tries for the season.

Great news and a real boost leading up to the next match against Newcastle. We also anticipate having Dean Rysko back and possibly Ryan O Hara from Wests Tigers which will provide us with some options for a welcome change.

Kind Regards

Kevin

Michael Stolk's big brother is also looking to have a run with us. And when I say big, I mean BIG. Haven't seen him play and don't know much about his playing history, but if he puts in like little Stolky he'll be an asset. He was with the side on Sunday just soaking it up so if that hasn't got him fired up nothing will.

Wiz is also a chance for the Newcastle game, and we could see any combination of Flanno, Galea and McDonnell back depending on how Sheens re-shuffles the deck to accommodate Farah and Marshall.

The guys that played on Sunday showed they all have it in them and can get the job done with a fabulous display, and the guys who didn't get a run were all busting to get out there. The extra competition for spots, and the addition of so much top grade experience hopefully will keep the intensity high for the rest of the season and we'll all get a lot more practice at singing the club song.

Will be interesting to see where Leo plays Viane.

The centres, Ryan & Davis look stable and will get better as the season goes on.

The backrow, Trimarchi, Young & Vlaciky have probably been close to the best players for Wests this season.

Could be a interesting team line up next game against Newcastle. Depending on who Sheens selects for the Wests Tigers we could see a line up like this :

1. Gallant
2. Taylor
3. Ryan
4. Davis
5. Cutler

6. N.Waters ©
7. Morris/Head

13. Trimarchi
12. Viane
11. Vlaciky
10. Rysko
9. Flanagan
8. O'Hara

14. Bennett
15. R.Young
16. L.Young
17. Stolk
18. Keir
19. Soultan
20. Rosser
21. Laurie
22. Franks
23. Akeripa
24. Loder
25. Alone
26. B.Waters

Team would go close to beating Souths in the NRL. B)
