CHARLIE HEREKOTUKUTUKU Perhaps another example of the Roosters not realizing what they had in their own backyard, Charlie was recruited from Group 20 for season 2006. However, due to his ‘points’, accrued in NZ Barter Card competition, Roosters’ feeder club, Newtown Jim Beam didn’t provide Charlie with the game time to impress. After a successful season at Mounties in ’07, making the Jim Rep. side, he is making every post a winner with Norths State Cup side. The ’08 NSW Residents representative can play half, 5/8, centre or hooker and is combining that versatility with strong defence for the top of the table Bears. In 2009 Charlie impressed the Magpies when he pulled on the Black and White. Unfortunately with the return of Brendan Waters from injury, Charlie got little time in the halves and therefor didn't get the opportunities to show his true value. |
