Moss Vale flogged Thirlmere today in first grade 44-0 . Dragons narrowly went down in reserves 20-16. Next weeks game against Oakdale is definately going to be a great match to watch City got done by The Oaks 21-20. The only results ive heard so far.

There's many a good judge Highlander who would say that instead of separating the competition in 1983, it should have had divisional status conferred upon it and Newtown could've benefitted from this arrangement. It was strange that this was the only area in NSW that didn't have divisional status put on it once a 1st Grade district club arrived- like what happened in Illawarra, Canberra, Newcastle and the Gold Coast. This forced a lot of Campbelltown's senior clubs to disband without good reason. |

Hi folks went to watch Moss Vale play Oakdale and a close one it was, the game could have gone either way the kid who refereed had a shocker poor chap had no control at all, would react to any call made by player or the crowd and when a few players wanted to have a scrap he was at a loss of what best to do. Having said all this it was most certainly a very physical game and worth the entry fee. I'm sure a few sore bones and muscle's will be nursed over the next few days Oakdale 12-10 winners |

You'd think being a 1st V 2ND match you would have a senior or experienced ref to control the game you'd think?? Oakdale & Moss Vale are definately the benchmark teams in the comp at the moment with easts not far behind, thirlmere have dropped right off in recent weeks but will still be dangerous. |

Narellan v East had a similar cernario when it came to the refereeing, lost control, supporters and players losing respect towards the refereeing, I noticed the half time was at 4pm when they kicked off at 3pm, that's how many stops was in the game, not a good specticle, a massive one sided penalty count and this was an experianced referee! East 19 defeated Narellan 12 |

Had the same problem in reserves aswell. Not as bad as 1st though. A few people were sent behind the wooden logs. If they were not moved the referee wasnt going to restart the game after half time. Edited by storm4lyfe, Jul 12 2010, 08:40 PM.

Regardless of the way a ref plays the thing is without them we cant play at all. some days the ref he blows for you other days he blows against you it all balances it self out over a season |

Spot on Brownie. We need high quality referees just as we need high quality players. We need to do more so that they are better protected when coming through the ranks. There are a lot more areas in our control as coaches and players on the field that are a bigger priority. |

The ref did a good job, there were no real punches thrown in the game, and there was a long stoppage because the Moss Vale player got knocked out by a brilliant shoulder charge. There were 3 minor scraps and on the 3rd one, the referee put both players in the bin, and that asserted his authority I think he is becoming the best referee in the group. At Oakdale we have only seen Glen Whiteman once this year. |

tc6_11 have you got rocks in your head or what??? A 'Brilliant shoulder charge' i wonder if you would think the same if it was a moss vale player that did that 'brilliant shoulder charge to an oakdale player! i think not!! the ref had a shocker as camdan nite stated, i'm not sure how much footy you have watched but it seems its only at ya local ground being oakdale and after a few at the workers club next door..

No rocks in my head champ, i question where were you when the shoulder charge happened? cos i can tell you your player got hit straight in the chest, you could hear all the air escape his chest cavity at impact, it's unfortunate that he got knocked out, because that little lock offers some good variety to, but that's footy. I know where all the mossy supporters were, and you wouldn't have seen where he got hit, so put your loyalties aside and stop guessing. |

I was on the bench mate so i say my guess is as good as yours seems to be hey and Yeah fair enough he was hit on the chest but the fact of the matter is it was late!! anyone can come in off the wing and blind side a player with a hit like that as he did moments after the referees whistle had been blown due to a double knock on. but thats footy as you said so bring on the next mossy v oakdale encounter... |
