Bowral got a $1000 doller fine which they will appealing from what i was told last nite they had 1 player suspended untill June 30 2011.

Id say due to harshness of the suspensions all involved will appeal and try and downgrade there punishment.

Thanks to Moss Vale RLFC for a great day's footy today down at Community Oval. Both really tough physical games in both Reserve Grade and 1st Grade played in great spirit. We might not have played you guys for 27 years, but it still has to be one of the toughest road trips in all of the CRL.

If City don't win next week against Mossy, can they make the semi's?

Well done to Graham Andrews and the Group, this do-do should not be tolerated as it's killing our game, hopefully they will deal with the others that bring the game into disrepute! Our club prides itself on dicapline and throw out any drop kicks ever year, as good as a player is on the field, if he has no decipline, that could ruin your clubs good name, don't put up with it!

Very sad turn of events and being there i can't deny action needed to be taken!!

I just hope this don't cost both the Group and Wests a club each as incidents like this a hard to bounce back from and i know that atleast Bowral have lost alot more than just a fine Sponsors are not happy and potential sponsors well it would be hard to get one after this. And there is player unrest at the whole situation aswell.

Lets just hope now people will wake up now and know its just not on

Mittagong 28 d Camden 4.

Vale Jimmy 'Jumbo' Martin who passed away early this week. Jumbo was a long serving player of the Campbelltown Kangaroos and had a stint captain- coaching Quirindi in Group 21.
Jumbo also captain- coached Oakdale Workers to their first title success- the 1967 Reserve Grade crown.

Eagles are in the pink for a good cause
RUGBY LEAGUE
9 AUG 10 @ 01:46PM BY VERA BERTOLA

MACARTHUR region rugby league good guys East Campbelltown Eagles will put aside their inhibitions and wear pink to support the McGrath Foundation when they play Picton Magpies in the Group 6/Wests A-grade competition at Waminda Oval on Saturday.

Both teams will battle it out for the Charity Cup to support breast cancer research and care.

The Eagles will don pink jerseys that will include the Picton Magpies logo.

After the game all the jerseys will be auctioned to raise funds for the McGrath Foundation.

The Picton Magpies will support the initiative by playing in pink socks.

The pink game ball, a McGrath Foundation Steeden, will be signed by both clubs and also auctioned.

Eagles president Daniel Draper said this was the second year of the Charity Cup. “The Eagles took it out by the narrowest of margins in 2009,” he said.

The Eagles and Magpies will battle it out in under-18s division two and division one, and reserve and first grades.

“The club that has the most wins on the day will take the trophy home,” Draper said.

The Eagles would like to thank its supporters: Cabra-Vale Diggers, Marshall Air, Bettacrete Concrete, Bob Jane T-Marts Campbelltown, The Sleeping Giant Campbelltown and Andrew Ingram Carpentry.
