I would be scarred to have a drink on that balconey, looks like it's about to fall down, with your oval, surely they could level it one day, I played there many years ago and we were leading 36-0 at half time and won 36-30 by fall time, great running down hill, but again I would prefere country grounds like that then dealing with any Suburban grounds around Campbelltown, at least you can park your car on the ground, set up a picknick lunch and a few beers, that's like having your own corporate box at the footy, not one ground in Campbelltown you can do this without getting in do-do from the ranger, we have gone to council and tried doing this but as usual, you get nowhere in Campbelltown!

me dear old mates what are the results to show this fine weekend? is it to be Oakdale or Picton? Picton seem to think that with a home advantage and some assistance from whoever has offered it they are a sure thing. I fancy Easts to win against Moss Vale. Question for the panel? Has anyone had a look at the condition of the ground at Picton? |

Note: 9 games to be played on that ground prior to the Picton - Oakdale game and thats 1day prior and the Sunday, great planning. Surely they ( the committee ) owe it to the players to present a decent surface. |

Oakdale v Picton Oakdale back to full strangth and injury to strike weapon brassington should see the workers prove way to strong for the baby faced magpies. picton will and should match it with them early on, but cant see them coming close to this well drilled workers outfit. defence will prove the major factor in this match. Workers by 20. East C'town v Moss Vale East have the wood on the dragons in there 2 meetings this year, both tight matches that could have gorn either way, will that be the telling factor come sunday and prove to be another east victory with lady luck on there side again! both teams defence is rock solid till the latter part in both halfs so this game could just go down to who ever turns up to play and the bounce of the ball. Mossy by 4 |

Oakdale by 20? that is bold. I Hope your on the money Easts & Mossy...... Moss Vale have not beaten either Oakdale or Easts this year in their 4 encounters, which says to me that they are lacking something. Mossy beat a depleted Thirlmere on their home surface 2 weeks ago, which gives no real form line. Easts came out and stuck it to Oakdale early, and then beat Mittagong with 12 men. Easts to prevail in a tight one |

Ist Grade: I dont think form from the 4 matches this year (oakdale and easts)would be anything to go by either. Moss Vale, Oakdale & Easts were missing players in their clashes during the year so all teams were never at full strength, hardly something to guage any form over. Look at the example of the dragons flogging thirlmere 44-0 during the year only to get a much stiffer game in the semi, finals footy is a different beast and anything can happen on the day . Moss Vale have their strongest possible team on the paddock this weekend as im aware, their only exception is Robert Wiya, who suffered a season ending injury during the year. Brassingtons injury will be a big blow for Picton as he's a great hole runner and is very dangerous. While ever poisel and dreves are floating around theres always danger. Picton have form and momentum coming into this game against Oakdale and will also have a local crowd cheering them on. My heart says Picton but my head says Oakdale in a close one. Reserves: The only loss collegians had all year was against Easts and their 2nd encounter saw collegians home by 4. This game could go either way but im leaning towards collies as i believe their backline is the best ive seen all year. Also they were originally a first grade nomination which is probably justified with the reserve grade minor premiership and where they are now.Moss Vale havent beaten City this year but like i said previously havent had their best team either. Mossy were full strength in the final rnd and had a 12 all draw with collies, smashed narellan in the first semi and got over thirlmere last week. Their playing with confidence and form which is why i think they'll get over city in a very close one. 3rd: Ive watched a few 3rd games this year and by far the most dominant team has been Mac Fields. They will go into the GF and have plenty of experience and have a big Narellan connection there with some ex first graders and coach there. Easts strength this year has been their depth and thats why their 3rd grade side has gone well. Theyve had the wood on minto all year and will get another this game.I t will be close 1-4 point win. I select Oakdale & Moss Vale in 1st grade with Collies and Campbelltown City in Reserves with Moss Vale Reserves probably the best chance of an upset. Haven't really followed 3rds and under 18's but would suggest Macquarie Fields will possibly win both. |

Disco Stu, My east 2nd grade couldnt kick a goal that game your we win by 6 only to be beaten by collies on the bell.(but thats footy) We also had 3 key players out that game. We lost to the roosters by 4 with 9 players out 18's & 3rd grade put their hand up for a game that day in did the club proud. We missed the minor premership by 1 point and score 116 more points than collies and none of you fellas are rating us a change this weekend This will be a great game against collies may even come down to the football gods on who wins |

Yes the player sent off last week Junior (Mazeen) Taavili has a one week suspension, that as well as other players missing due to injury will be a massive blow for the Eagles, Oakdale took the wind out of the Eagles 2 weeks ago and some players struggling carrying injuries, it will need a big gutsy game to win this one! Good luck to all teams playing in the semis this week, |

Cheers Blue devil.. Brownie, so it seem's you have a few niggling injuries about and a suspended player, where does this put your first and reserve teams in relation to playing at full strangth? and also will your best reserve grade players step up into first this week to cover for the injured or suspended and if the case, that would leave a massive hole in your reserves team? or will those players play no matter what? (with a injury cloud over there head as blue devil pointed out) cheers. |
