Hi All im glad you have all given what you think will work if 1 team clubs try and stack to win comps

I think Highlander has hit the nail on the head with the divide after each team has played this would be the way to keep building the DNC side of the comp.

I would think we only need to have 1st & 2nd grade with no spilt into divisions just if your to good for 2nd of you go to 1st.

With Collies pulling out of pre season cup gives Easts 2nd grade boys the chance to have a run.

Last years Collies side could have played 1st grade they would not have won the comp but would have been decent. Dont they get it if sides stack in lower grades the comp will fall apart.
these stacked teams are useless they are heroes for one year, leave a sour taste in everyone's mouth then disband there teams once it's time to move up
last seasons two stacked teams, valley and collies are basically no more, but wait collies now in 2nd grade all valley's players mite link up there.
simple solution, same clubs in first and reserve grade, then all the decent players will want to play there. great call highlander 12 teams in 3rds play each other once then split into firsts and 2nds in that comp.

The Jets have the Kiama 9s on this week so they would have had a weekend side you think.

All Saints seemed to have gone ok aswell they should be decent in the top grade.

Just looking at the draw how did Thilmere get to host 2 rounds :dunno: There are other clubs that would have liked to have hosted a few games :hey: Would have been nice for some of the smaller clubs to host some aswell give there coffers a chance to grow so they can one day move up the ranks :correct:

went and watched Bowral thirds play warilla missing 10 regulars and with a 10-1 penalty count against them the lads lost 30 20 in a good showing.

Was talking to one of the players sitting out they dont think they will have enough for 2 sides there thinking its better to have 1 strong team them 2 weak teams.

I watched All Saints play Moss Vale and Bulldogs on Friday night. All Saints are a very young side but enthusiastic. They led Moss Vale 10 nil in the first 20mins but couldn't hang on after losing a player to the sin bin and playing with 12. Moss Vale put 2 quick tries on to make it 12 -10 but finished with one more try at the end to make it 16-10. Bulldogs then came on after having a 40 min break and put 3 tries on the unrested All saints boy's in a row. They were big and fast but when they got a bit tired All Saints got 2 tries back making it 16-12, Then after a first tackle dropped ball near All Saints 20mtr Bulldog's got 1 more try. All Saints still came back with one more try at the end but the time had ran out. After the games the All Saints boys took a vote on whether to stick with 1st grade or drop back to reserves and voted unaminously to stick it out in the top grade and take whatever is thrown at them.

I hear that Bulldogs may want to play reserve grade, I hope they don't as they would be far to good for that grade.

I watched the games at Liverpool on Friday night and the Bulldogs are a side that are well above a reserve grade standard. They were competetive with Moss Vale and beat All Saints, if they are allowed to field one side in 2nd grade the competition would be over before it started.

Was just told by a workmate that there will be a 12 team 1sts reserves and 10 up to 12 teams in DNC. Unsure on 18s but i was told Robertson are back in 18s under there JNRS banner as there SNRS will not leave Group 7 unless forced.

Bowral have had both there sides placed in DNC so it remains to be seen if they will have 2 sides in one comp or just one team.

Not sure, but I'd hazard a guess...

1st Grade: All Saints, Camden, Campbelltown City, East Campbelltown, Ingleburn Bulldogs, Mittagong, Moss Vale, Narellan, Oakdale, Picton, The Oaks, Thirlmere.

2nd Grade: same 11 clubs but Collies substitute for Ingleburn Bulldogs.

3rd Grade: Appin, Bowral I, Bowral II, Campbelltown City, Campbelltown Warriors, East Campbelltown, Eaglevale, Ingleburn RSL, Macquarie Fields, Minto, Hinchinbrook, Warragamba

27 teams in the U/18 competition.

Big year of local footy upcoming. Draft draw has City vs Mittagong at Mittagong 1st Round and then we play Camden at home. Ironic- our last Group 6 regular season home game was against Camden in 1983.

Have Valley noy got a side this year??

Bulldogs struggling hope not as that could delay the comp if that was the case.

There is a draft draw out which has not been finalised. Also heard (cant confirm) Bowral and Robertson are in talks to share home games and other resources which is a positive for the region for 2 clubs to assist eachother.

Pre-Season Competition Result. It's only a trial game but All Saints had their first win in the top grade tonight defeating Camden Rams 12-6. Well done to the boys in green and gold. Lets hope there are more wins to follow this season. All Saints are fielding 1st, Reserves and 3rd Grade (no under 18's).
