I would be very suprised if the taunting of players and players misbehaviour at games and grounds is the only reason behind the split perhaps other issues that concerned those that voted was the issues surrounding each owns clubs individual circumstances. The club that I am involved with within group 6 never had any trouble with ground control however we generally had a very small gate taking when playing wests sides as opposed to G6 sides. Players were certainly put off by having to travel to grounds that were of a standard that was unnacceptable with some not even having showering facilities and most of all the players were not happy in general and the general consencous among most I have spoken to feel the stand alone G6 comp is at an adequate level again to support itself. At the end of the day the players are the most valuable commodity of any sport so I would say the executives of each club have listned to their players and voted accordingly. Weather or not this is best for Wests or G6 im not sure but I suppose time will tell. |

Lecky, i would agree the grounds in Wests are not up to scratch, but all were told by the combined committee they had to play there or give the game up. Having said that, the ground at Robertson by all accounts is not much chop, and i am told at Bowral it has a run down the hill bigger than a roller coaster. Your right G6 clubs have voted in there best interest, but i must point out that G6 clubs did not want the merger in the first place more that it was forced upon them, so from that angle it was doomed and then you have the other side and i think enough has been said about West's. And yes Collies seem to be a good example of bad management, a very hardworking man from East's was suspended for 12 months for a conversation in the same joint, but Collies as we all now know committed something inexcusable and have yet to be dealt with, my understanding is that G6 have already dealt with individuals involved in the brawl at stadium and handed out suspensions believed to be worth 6 months to some involved, that is what i call dealing with an issue and i applaud G6 for that. But i personally am dissapointed i guess from the fact that G6 have gone and left us to it, i guess G6 got to the life rafts and life jackets first, i just wonder if there maybe a little more room in that Life Raft...... |

The clubs vote to stand alone has made it easier for the group 6 management to walk away from the combined competiton and with much relief. From all reports i heard that the Group 6 management found it difficult and frustrating working alongside Wests JRL. |

Its not that bad!! Atleast you can park your car right next to the ground and watch the game or hope out and sit on the grass and not have to worry about a fence getting in the way. And if anything happens there is a hospital right next door!! How many grounds can a captian choose to run uphill or downhill hey!! Makes you earn your points |

You have some good points E.A.S.T C/Town, yes a hard working volunteer from East got 12 months for a verbal conversation at the pub, I also hear that bloke is a bloody Legend! what about the guy from All Saints getting 18 months for a text message and the East President getting 7 years for an email, Collies play a massive part in the seperation and group 6 can see the people suspended are actually the good guys and great volunteers for the love of the game, Group 6 clubs have asked the Eagles to be a part of there competition and the management sounds accomodating, Its going to be another massive battle between East and West, The Eagles have all intensions to play at Group 6! We have not been in a stable competition for years now and with Wests Juniors trying to make a competition for a couple of Cambelltown Clubs against the best Parra Clubs and Canterbury clubs show they are out of touch with reality, Wests Juniors might be able to persuade Wests Leagues Club to hand out more money so we can compete with Cabra, Mounties, and Wenty! As if! With our ground, we are in constant battles with council and Wests Juniors, but ask them, nothing is wrong with the ground! At a Training session this year Damien Kennedy ask the major of Campbelltown to run at him and he would tackle him on the cricket pitch! Piss funny, but at least the Major had turned up to listen to our complaints, he has been helpful, but I don't like our chances with the new Major! Edited by Blue Devil, Oct 9 2010, 08:23 PM.

Just a question where do the boundaries start and finish with group 6 and wests jnrs. I say this as Uws has just spent 27Grand upgrading there sportsfields near the gym which is now at a playable standard.Spoke to the manager of those grounds and there avaliable fior hire. But there other ground which is alot bigger and has a big hill and carparking facilities is also going to be upgraded with fences and other suff added to it for students these are under different control but would be a fantastic ground to watch footy from. Just thinking either of those grounds could come into use for a team trying to get into group 6. |

We have had talks already with the UWS and also another 2 facilites not far from Campbelltown, the sad thing is we shouldn't have to leave our ground or area, people should look at it for the good of the game instead of there own ego,s

The G6 clubs voted 2 years ago to stand alone, yet the management stabbed them in the back and went ahead with this combined competition anyway. Now, just because they can't get along with Wests, their going to hide behind a "directive from the clubs" to back out of this arrangement. Gee whiz. Apparently they are talking about how they have supported the clubs' decision to walk away, yet we can all see that they want this to dissolve as much as anyone, based on the fact that they couldn't get along with Wests JRL. WHAT ABOUT THE CLUBS! The sooner this competition is run to suit the clubs involved, and not the whims of a few board members the better, and quite frankly, this G6 board needs to held accountable for their actions |

Our club has no choice but to stand alone, we have talked to other clubs that want to go to Group 6 but they are scarred to stand up to the junior league, they will watch us do all the fighting and will not be game to speak up, we have seen it all before for many years! |

Somebody please correct me if Im wrong but from what I am told NSWRL rules are that you must play within your district. So would not Easts or anybody else playing in group 6 break NSWRL rules ??? The way I understand it any Wests club wanting to play in Goup 6 would have to be sanctioned by them and that would have to be agreed by Wests as well ????? Wouldn't you would have to relocate your whole club to the group 6 district and give it a new name ??? |

You could have the "Macarthur Eagles or Kangeroos" Playing out of a ground in group 6 boundaries i guess any ideas where people?? Are there spare grounds in either Douglas park or menangle thats one area of the north end not having a team near by!! Would the group clubs like Mt Annan or The Jetters be please with another team in the area aswell!! Should be a very intersting off season ahead!!! |

As far as I know, C'town clubs have to apply to Wests, then NSWRL. However, apparently, Wests have told everybody that they are NO chance of approving any such applications. Ever. |

I don't think any west's clubs will be playing in Group 6 next year for the simple reason that West's management will fight tooth and nail to keep them under the thumb. I'd imagine that there are a couple of clubs who would be very welcome by Group 6. |

I think Warriors78 You guys as any wests club should still plan for 1sts reserves and i think wests jnrs should aswell!!! some teams wont get 2 sides but a decent comp should be possable considering how many clubs this year had snr sides . I can remember in 1993 Wests had a 8 team 1sts reserves comp if you could do it back then why not strive for it now!! Black and white is right unless a club relocates into Camden shire Wests will fight hard and the NSWRL will support them. |

With all respect to you and your club "Devil" I hope you make it to Group 6. The other prospect would be having Easts playing in an A Grade Comp just under Wests would probably mean all teams left getting beaten by 60 each week. The next level down was C/City who did not make the 8 and then All Saints then Bulldogs. I dont think our comp would have enough teams for first and reserves so this years reserve and 3rd grades would have to make up the comp. In other words if Easts and possibly C/City went to group 6 whats left in Wests would be on a more even playing par. I hope some common sense prevails at the Wests meeting tonight. |

Haha, I take it you haven't been to too many Wests meetings. I don't think common sense has ever been on the agenda
