The team to give CC a run for their money will be East Campbelltown who beat them in the final of the Pre Season Comp. I didn't watch the game but I have watched East's play and they will be hard to beat as a team that is good all over the park, not just strong in places. They had trouble with the points system too as a lot of their players move in and out of their Bundy side. "I have been told" the points system has been changed, (I believe for the better) A player that transfers from a club that no longer has a side this year does not attract 25points only 2 points. It was wrong that he attracted 25 points if he did not have a side to go back to. I Would love to know how many points CC have. |

So who do you go to to stop this sham? I f they want to load up the side with ex NRL players tell them to enter a Bundy Side. What are those kids from All Saints walking into on Sunday. City wouldn't be able to field a Bundy team on the Bundy's point system, the point system is designed if you have ex NRL players, you have to fill your team with young players that havnt played rep foottball, look at Bundy cup and see how many NRL players are playing, Bundy has turned into a development competition and Campbelltown Eagles are a good example of that, group 6 should look at that point system and steal some ideas Edited by Blue Devil, Mar 26 2010, 10:21 PM.

I cant understand how a bundy player is the same points under the current system as a player who has played NRL. 40 points for a bundy player is 2 many i understand the meaning behind the point system but bundy & NRL the same points if this is the case then bundy players need to be asking when will the same money be paid to them as a NRL player if they attract the same points under this current point system 25 or 30 points would be a better fit. Anyway Good luck to all teams in all 3 grades this year my tip is the EAGLES to win all 3 grades this year

At waminda oval today easts won 40-6 in reserve grade and 34-28 in firsts. I have to say the refereeing this year is pretty bad. Nearly as bad as the nrl. |

A few results are on the group 6 website. Oakdale had a huge win over Ingleburn bulldogs. |

Milton Park, Ingleburn 1st Grade: Campbelltown City 60 d All Saints 4 Reserve Grade: Campbelltown City 38 d All Saints 0 3rd Grade: Campbelltown City 26 d Hinchinbrook 24 U/18s: Macquarie Fields 34 d Campbelltown City 10 Very oppressive conditions for Rugby League, hopefully the weather is better after Easter for the players. Despite the scoreline, All Saints were competitive for long periods of the game and certainly weren't 'outmuscled' by our boys. All Saints were immaculately presented at and in the game, very professional off the field and will be fine contributors to the combined senior competition. Liverpool has lacked a strong senior club since the demise of the great Liverpool City club. Every area needs a senior footy club for its young men to filter into and All Saints will fill the legacy left by Liverpool City. Brian, Allan and Dave do a great job up there. In relation to a few posts on this forum, we were well under the points cap today. Kevin McGuinness is a 40 point player having played 2007 with Salford City Reds and Ronald Jones is a 25 point player. We just missed out on having Ronald qualify as a 2 point player as he played 7 junior seasons with Minto and 6 junior seasons with City. Anyway, it's great to be back playing against our traditional Group 6 rivals after 27 years. Within 4-5 seasons, the comp will return to the standards it was setting throughout the 70s and well into the early 90s. Alex Melville C/town City |

it's been a strange weekend! even at NRL level the scores have been somewhat unexpected i'm sure that things will settle down as the season progresses well i most certainly hope so. at the start of the game between Ingleburn and Oakdale one thought that it would be a contest but sadly the Dogs lacked structure. (opposition teams can only dream of having that size in a forward pack) if they had a halfback who could direct the team around the Dogs would be a nightmare for a lot of sides . |

All Saints were not upset by the scoreline in todays games and all concerned learnt plenty in our first official hit out in the top grade. We have plenty of home work to do. No point hiding away in 3rd grade if you believe you have the ability to handle 1st & Reserves. |

For any comp to have any standards, as im hearing the comp did have in the 70,s , you must have clarity in information and communication with transparency under the whole umbrella of a competition. already i am seeing two lyric sheets to the same song and drummers who beats there own tunes. The new sign on system. Please wests officials, show some consitenecy in the protocols you put in place. why have a system where you require grown men to line up like under 6,s have the photo checked against a rego card and in doing so have no representative available to intergrate the new format. I have witness and heard of a few clubs being forced to interupt warm up schedules to only find out no one is at the table. ???? enlighten me someone. Next they will be saying no one will be able to re enter the dressing sheds once they are signed on ?????. one more question. I can see who the wests represenatives are , dressed to suit, like blue ballons at a birthday party, though i see no visibles of group 6. Im hearing a roumour that picton are that short of players there reserve grade coach Todd Borthwick had to gear up. 47 will they be calling messers cook, white and cox out of retirement.

Ok guys as moderater here for this forum lets keep discussions relevant as we don't want this forum to dissappear again . Having a swipe or gripe at officals etc wont be tolerated here , i'd suggest if you have any issues with the league or officials then let the appropriate people know instead of airing any grievances here as it will only fuel debate and cause problems . Please the read the forum rules and lets keep it informative and constructive. |

The sunday roast is a show that questions the game, some of its rules and opens debate for the ordinary bloke on the street. Its a forum that is sometimes questioned, but is only an opinion. it is show that is honest and upfront to the personalities that mediate it . Not up to speed on what happened last year, however rules are rules. Dame shame though.

Agreed. We do NOT need to abuse any officials. I attended the Referees meeting that all Group 6/Wests clubs were invited to attend, but not attended by all clubs, where I was advised that out of 50 junior referees ONLY 1 progresses to the SENIOR referees ranks. A very poor stat - I'd imagine abuse etc has a lot to do with the big drop off. There is a zero tolerance by referrees on abuse. Remember: NO REFEREES NO GAME - a simple message to all. |
