Welcome Jollysole. I'd suggest you read some of the earlier posts - that will answer many of your questions. All Saints started training last night with 25 turning up in the rain including several new faces. Still plenty of confirmed players to turn up in the coming sessions. The coming weeks will decide who has and who hasn't senior teams. Senior Team nominations close 4 March 2011. Does anyone know if the Bundy Cup is on again this year - I've heard rumours it's on/off ???? |

WestsTragic12- i agree theres not much coming out. it does not help the clubs that have been told that they will have a comp to play in.

Miitagong had a decent u/18 side this year, 6 of those starting players were moss vale u/18 players though, one of which won the gary dowling rising star award last year. |

Not sure of the structure of wests jrl but why doesnt someone or a committee group form a west srl comp with jnrs running the u6- u16 and a seperate snr controlling body control the 18s,3rds reserves and firsts ? Jnr & Snr leagues are very different beasts and should be run accordingly. Theres two seperate group 6 leagues jnr & snrs controlled by two seperate managements why cant something similar happen with Wests ?

warriors78- wont matter what club rookes involved in as he clearly states that he will be joining the group 6 comp as from his other comments. i dont think anyone has faith in the west comp much anymore as they are loosing their credability and what little they had. |

hi all back from my sin binning I do not under stand why i was sin bined I was called a fool & an internet troll, but using numb nut seems to be more offensive & i have seen these words used by other people. every second comment on the wests forum are negative how have mine been anymore negative to warrent a short spell. I take all of what people say to me with a grain of salt, as they would do with my postings. i did not mean to offend anyone, its all friendly banter to me, as i am a also from campbelltown, i am a father who has children playing in the wests junior comp, i am also a coach, first aider for my club, i also want the wests seniors comp to happen & be successful, so that our juniors will have somewhere to play when they get to seniors. some of my posting are out of frustration with whats going on, i have not deliberatly try offend any one if i did i am sorry. |

Hey Couch, best thing I can say is encourage your club to form their own seniors committee. All Saints started their 1st A Grade in 2001. We did this by getting people in place that had been invloved in senior footy for many years. In 2008, we had a disaturous year. The structure fell apart and although people at the club did their best to keep the team together, unfortunately they were not able to finish the season. In 2009, we refromed the seniors committee with our club people and some of the old boys who are All Saints players from way back, we formed the a 7 man seniors committee,Named ALL SAINTS as our chairman, recruited Alan Fry as our coach who inturn got me and a couple of other boys out of retirement to help with all these young kids. 2009 we made the DNC cup, 2010 we entered two A grade teams for the first time in our history. All of this because we got people involved who understood A grade footy and the structure required to be succesful. You seem to have been invloved in the past with seniors, I would encourage you to get involved with your club. All our boys now are just keen to wear green and gold. Many received offers from our neighbours the titans but Im only aware of one who may show up in a blue Jersey. By the way couch, which club were you involved with last year? In regards to my mate All Saints, he is on the seniors committee and lives and breathes local footy. I am positive that he will make sure that the Wests Seniors committe will do the right thing by our club and also by all other clubs. At the end of the day, we all just want to see Seniors Sunday footy happening on local grounds from Hillier Oval Liverpool all the way out to Oswald at Macarthur. Lets be positive and talk about footy. If your worried about your club, go to the committee meetings and give them ideas how to have a sucessful A Grade team. Blue Devil has done it at Easts, Campbelltown City have done it, Jed at Minto is doing it, All Saints are well under way, Titans are there also, and of course Eaglevale are pointed in the right direction. This year is about re building. Lets get on with the footy. |

The moderators here are trying to keep this forum an open discussion as possible and despite our attempts in our posts to tone things down they are simply ignored. This website was shutdown for 6 months because frustrations, turned to attacks, then slander and defamation. Users emotions spiralled out of control, so what we the moderators are doing is trying to keep people emotions in check for the good of the forum and preferably being proactive rather than reactive. Its ok to have an opinion but present it in a constructive manner not destructive , vindictive or malicious way . Most of us because we are behind anonimity for privacy reasons dont know what other personalities are and therefore it is hard for others to pick up your intentions, using the emoticons often wil help your arguement you put forth in a post to eliminate any confusion.Couch potatoe , finishing up others have been warned also so no one is immune . |

Hey couch, welcome back i share your frustration with your comments about West's, it seems to me its the same as usual in the lead up to the season, but i guess all you can do is try and find out from your club. Bigshow your comments about Minto and Jed are very funny..... If i were in the west's comp, id be asking how the new club can take all the players if the comp is re-building i would think this has not helped one bit.... |

Have to Say I Agree with you Mate there are probably 3 or 4 Club in that particular basin that look to struggle with numbers with LCC a strong club in the Juniors dominating the area and we are going to add another club in that to the equation in that area that will further drain on these smaller clubs .... it just doesn't make sense

Disco i understand where your coming from, didnt mean to cause trouble, may have had 1 to many that night. jollysole, rooke, League-Forever, big show, i have spoken to my club many times, cant seem to get anywhere to tell you the truth i have allready made up my mind to go to another club, i am not going to tell you who i am with now as i dont want tarnish the club in any way. I am looking at other clubs & been from campbelltown i am looking very closely at Eagles & roos but have not ruled out group 6 clubs, i am however leaning towards the roos as i have found the history behind this club has got me very interested, what i can tell you right now is that i will definatently be with a club that is in the group 6 comp. I am looking forward forward to the start of the season, i am also looking forward to having a proper steak sandwhich & a beer while i watch the game, will be better than the over priced rubber food you get from the stadium. |

RSL do not need to merge either, we start training Tuesday 18th, and will have enough players there to field 1st and 2nd grade teams. Players are not going to eaglevale, or Mt Annan or the titans, i have been talking to last years 3rd grade side and the 18's from last year, they are all coming back, and we have last years 16's coming through to fill the 18's slot, so we are looking fairly strong. |

Good news "Burner'. All Saints will have two sides, word on the street is that Liverpool Titans have two sides, "Mad Tiger" has advised on this forum that Eaglevale have had 30 players at training and are aiming for two sides. Has anyone out there heard from or is involved with Collies, Minto, Macquarie Fields, Ingleburn Bulldogs, Warriors, Macarthur Saints, Hinchinbrook, LCC ???? A meeting of the Wests Senior Management Committee on Monday 24 January will be a guide to who is and who isn't fielding senior teams and the structure of the 2011 Wests senior competition - only 9 more sleeps. |
