The undermining of clubs here isn't helping anyones cause , they are doing the best under the circumstances and remember all clubs are run by volunteers, some limited. Can we at least wait until mondays meeting to see what outcomes will prevail before we pass judgement. |

Nice one. Moved a lot and had a fair few mates that played at different clubs. Loved the journey, met some great mates.

I went for my jog like I said, Eagle Vale A Grade was training so I would suggest you let your Secretary know of the time and date you train, considering you moved your night so you can get guys whom play Oz Tag can attend training, you only had 15, far from the 32 stated! you say Eagle Vale has the strongest juniors, but why do you struggle to run a senior team, the last 3 years have seen you lucky to finish the season in seniors, I also seen your star Bundy player, Mahommed will lead the way for your guys, it will be a long season if you have anyone that is half decent! Good Luck |

Yeh, sorry Highlander but League Forever is right, it's hard to hold back on phantoms, when before Christmas they had a strong 16-18 team competition and people are still talking it up when it's lucky to be a 4 team comp, this is what we have had to deal with in the past years and it gets frustrating! I will hold back in future or try too! Edited by Blue Devil, Jan 21 2011, 08:38 PM.

sorry highlander i understand what your getting at, but how do you expect us to reply, it is quiet obvious that you are from Bowral, but please respect my view as a campbelltown resident, having to put up with what is happening in this area i f you want to bar me or suspend or ban me i respect that but i am realey sorry that an out of towner can dictate whate people say about someone elses area when they dont even live within that area. Do you want to know something highlander, i am a campbelltown ratepayer, & as a parent, coach & first aider for a wests side in juniors, i & my children will never play in the west comp ever again if it wasnt for the 3 sides Eagles, Kangaroos & Bulls, i as a campbelltown resident would have already taken my kids to the group 6 comp long before this. I am really sorry highlander but this is my oppinion As a moderator & not from this area, you should stop trying to convince us to say what you want us to stay. Not good to stop peoples opinions, if you are worried about the site been closed, dont worry there i, are plenty of oppinions like me & think the same way as me. by the way i have been asked a few times who i am with, i have decided to take me & my family to the roos, i like there history , if i am to be barred, sinbined & silenced for these coments so be it. |

morning everyone only 2 more sleeps to wait and the new wests a grade gets unwrapped. 12 team a, a reserve and 8 team 3rd grade I reckon, 32 teams! 32 seems to be the magic number |

No one is stopping you from having an opinion but are your opinions you present based on fact or rumour ? It seems everyone here is getting upset and opinionated over wests jrl, training numbers ,team nominations, mergers, player transfers etc etc, and is destabilising the effort by those who want to make it work. I think clubs are in the best position to know what players they have and what they don't. Just because people out there have been spying on training numbers from other clubs doesnt mean that their reported low numbers are the end of the world. Some may have work commitments, touch footy, cricket or other training which is affecting attendance. Like i said countless times, everyone is posing hypotheticals and rumours at the moment with very little fact. Wait until the meeting on monday to see what the outcomes are. Until then keep it factual. Ps. Highlander knows campbelltown more than you think CP. Edited by disco stu, Jan 22 2011, 10:12 AM.

As I am relatively new to senior footy I just wanted to ask a hypothetical as it could stuff up a few clubs plans if what I think goes ahead Wouldn't the Roos and Eagles players need to get clearances I understand that the secretaries would release these player but doesn't it have to get approved by wests I could be way of the mark I just thought that's how it worked so if things were to get held up as that would be a massive load of transfers where does that leave these two clubs? |

i would hate to see the ramifications for not releasing any player that is not a defaulter, any player can ask for a clearance & it has to be granted. the only legal reason for refusing a clearance is if you owe money (defaulter). There will be over 220 player putting in for clearances in the next week or 2, so what will be the reasons for all of these to be denied. i dont think the clubs going to group 6 are too concerned about this as there clearances will have to be granted. how are 220 players going to be stopped from playing where ever they want. If they are denied would this not be a breach of nswrl, wests & nrl constitutions. |

Beachbum, what time did you come past and have a look at RSL training? and where did you go to have a look? because if you went down to Wood Park to have a look, then you wouldnt have seen us training, as we are not training at wood park at the moment, cause cricket is still using the oval, and can assure you that there isnt any phantom sides at RSL, we have had 30 odd show up both nights we have had training, so you might want to get your facts right before you start spreading rumors about things, especially when you could be further from the truth. I have heard that ESA ARE getting decent turnouts as well, so stop the negative talk about the wests comp, if you want to be negative go onto the group 6 forum and be negative about the west comp there, cause i think i am speaking for Mad Tiger, All Saints and myself here, but we are sick of the constant negativity from certain people, its not warranted or wanted. If you want to play in group 6, well good on you, we dont have the choice and are going to play the hand we have been dealt, and make the most of it!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

we are training tuesday's and thursdays at minto touch fields, starting at 7/7:30pm (all depends when the bulk of players get there, due to work, oztag etc...) still have alot more to come down, alot of the returning players have been working and playing oztag etc, but as i said we have only had two training sessions and still managed to pull roughly 30 players to both, so again our numbers are looking good. We have had a few players return that didnt play last year, plus a few new players are interested in coming down, so so i cant see why we couldnt field a 1st's, 2nd's and U/18's. Alot of our players are just keen to play with their mates, doesnt matter what competition they are playing in, and they are loyal to the club an each other. The core of these players are the under 18's from the last 2 years that won back to back titles with each other, a feat that i was proud to be part of, and another reason we have the players coming back, they are enjoying their footy and know they have roughly a month and a half to get ready. |

hey beachbum, yes collies did win the U/18's 1st division combined comp, but RSL won the U/18's 2nd division combined comp. Mate i wish that the RSL club threw us some money in sponsorship, but the fact is that they dont, their words are that they would have to sponsor all the divisions (soccer, cricket, netball etc....), so we rely on sourcing our own sponsors and fundraising to fund our club. As for cricket, they have younger teams training on Wood Park usually, and as it is booked to cricket they get priority, that and we try hard to get the ground into condition for the season, so we try and stay off it during pre-season th help with this. |
