Not saying i agree with the rules lol, I agree would suck hard to go out on a coin toss... Agree that a penatly shootout style format would be good but the coin toss is only used to decide group results, eg, 3 teams in the pool all finish on the same points, F/A etc... So its not like its the end of a game situation. |

Valley should have been in first grade in 2009, don't know how Ingleburn Bulldogs were there instead. At least Minto should have a decent team for the first time in many years. |

I would hate to play a young squad against those guys, All Saints and Mad Tiger how would you feel playing your young team against these guys, hope you can fight! Boxing Training at southern cross boxing gym would be a good idea! Terry use to coach ESA, he will help is there any new news? How are numbers going? Any exciting signings? Wests clubs you must start talking it up to enhance some excitement for your competition! Remember it's your competition, promote it! Edited by Fence sitter, Feb 4 2011, 08:09 PM.

Teams are reluctant to announce who they have signed as certain people are trying to poach players... We have some very good names on our books but they will be kept quiet till the 9's comp.. Edited by Mad Tiger, Feb 4 2011, 08:13 PM.

If you keep it quiet, you will struggle to make the comp exciting, players need to know who they are up against, the only named signing in the whole comp is Nadal Saleh, well done Minto, other clubs need to announce coach's, give some back ground, do something, read G6 forum and get ideas, every club is announcing players, they are not scarred of there stars being poached! |

You Can't Poach a player if he has signed rego's are binding!!
In regards to fighting thats NOT football and i hope the powers that be are very harsh on foul play as the comp WILL NOT grow while you have thugs running out in jerseys!! Your local reserve grade hack who playes with his mates and for a beer wont bother if he is going to get his head kicked in!! The league has to look at educating the clubs at fair play and zero tolerance of foul play as it will prevent clubs from from having decent amount of players/sponsors I can tell you from experence that after last years incident we have had to bust our buttoms to get the public eye back on side. |

Well written Highlander! Will there be a reserve grade, a very good friend of mine is with All Saints, he says they will only have 1 team, who will be in the reserve grade? Who is training, I may have to investigate for you forum readers, This non information is not helping your comp! |

Signing Nadal is not something Minto should be proud of as he is the player that Devil mentioned in an earlier post that ran 20 meters to king hit a player with his back to him. (not rumour I was there) |

RSL will have a 2nd side, this Tuesday, even in the heat we still had 35 at training. That was even with 15 odd players not being there due to work and other commitments. The problem that we now have, is trying to find a training ground until we can use wood park in 2 weeks time, as someone put in a formal complaint about us using the field we were, and if we continue to use it, then the club will receive a fine. |

All Saints will be fielding two (2) teams. First & Reserves. We have had 40 different players train - I'll admit they haven't all turned up on the same night but that's due to Oz Tag, the heat, work etc. Also several that are playing haven't turned up yet due to their extensive social calendars but will wander in soon. |

The club is growing, we needed a 2nd field last year, was at registrations today and there was alot of new faces coming to the club and that was just mainly the juniors, even with the seniors we have had alot of new faces been showing up at training, the club has been growing year after year, at a very strong rate, so it is very good to see that we have a fairly strong junior base to support our senior teams and hopefully defend last years "club championship" win!!!!! |

Can't really confirm anything about hawks, as I have been hearing alot of different things about them, one minute they have a side, next they don't, rooke might be able to answer that question as he has had ties with the club. I know that RSL with have a side in 1sts, that I can confirm. |

The season has started and Dad is as happy as pig in mud, we went to Cabra nines and had a great day, Dads connections seen us sit in the corporate box at Cabra, glad I wasn't in the heat, McDonald from Tigers and Mullholland from Bulldogs was there and it is good to see, I took interest in the new Liverpool side, they lost to Cabra 16-4, got smashed by Ryde-Eastwood 28-0, ended up in the pool ranked 9th to 16th, they beat Maitland 16-12, then played Bankstown and were def 26-14, Mounties beat Bankstown for the Trophy, overall Titans jersys looked great but they don't have much talent, I think they will struggle even in West A Grade, Dad and I travelled to Picton to watch U18's nine a side, interesting how many 18's they had, every club except Oakdale was there, my dad said Eagles and Kangaroos wouldn't get the go ahead, and thinks it's wrong! But both clubs played and had good numbers and talent, both clubs making it through the finals, there was selectors from Penrith there which is great to see in one weekend, 3 selectors from 3 NRL clubs! Has anyone discussed West 18's all the focus on west A grade, I hope the 18's don't get left out! Something I heard today that was interesting ESA have contacted Group 6, to play out there, Mad Tiger, can you confirm this? Are you jumping a sinking ship? It come from a very reliable source.
