Look, I don't want to get into any pollitical debate, I only reported what I was told by a Group 6 official, he even told me it was your coach, I would still like to see comps together, 12 team Res and 1st grade with 3rd grade option, yes there was only 6 1st grade group 6 teams, in west that year there was only 4, why wouldn't nswrl want to keep it together, what a no brainer. |

Mate, Im one of the coaches at ESA and i can tell you i know nothing of the approach to Group 6. I agree with you in that i think the best thing for the area is a combined comp, but unfortunatley its not going to happen so both sides need to get on with their own thing. Slagging off the other side (as many have done) isnt going to do anyone any good. Im becoming increasingly excited that the Wests comp with build into something very good over the next few seasons if people support it. |

group 6 had one bad year out of 80 seasons. good luck to the teams left in wests but I'd be begging the board to release control to the group so the comp can stay together in some way. Who cares who runs it? the players don't |

You seem to be forgetting Group 6 don't want the Wests sides.. That was made clear... So if Wests do release control where do they go?? |

I've heard that as well, the group has never said they don't want West teams, hence Eagles, Roos and Bulls all getting the ok, they have never knocked back a club so you can't say that, it was the management they couldn't work with, you should also ask your President, he knows who contacted group 6. |

Well guys considering i was at the meeting to vote wests out i can say this some clubs assisted in the split those clubs know who they are and when there playing in a lesser comp they can blame themselves. Its sad when actions of the few ruin it for everyone!! But im sure that a club like ESA would grow from a boy to man in group 6 in seniors ranks!!

congrats to the kangaroos & eagles u18s, who both played in the group 6 9s yesterday at picton & people said they would never play, well play they did both clubs did themselves & there area proud kangaroos have made the final & will play camden, eagles have made the plate final & will play picton. a great days entertainment & a very good counter lunch at the imperial. when i was at picton on sunday i also overheard a conversation that all wests sides were going to get an open invitation to apply for entry into the group 6 comp, but under there rules, can anyone confirm this or is this just another rumor. this is a great idea & if true i would hope that other wests clubs would consider there options, hopefully this will stop the whinging about, the were not wanted stuff, as warriors & fence sitter said it wasnt the clubs it was the management they coudnt work with. |

Hey Mad Tiger, why would you want to know about the Group 6 points? You are better off contacting G6 yourself, or get the person who contacted Group 6 in the first place to ask, some of your members are obviously keen to give it a go! |

Exactly Highlander ....no one is disputing that the G6 Comp have a stronger Comp NOW and Yes as clubs and a district we have to rebuild its no secret.... its not something that will happen over night but it will happen (no pantene pun intended) it will be up to all involved Starting from the top with the board the advisory committee to club committees down to the players themselves to work towards a professional and viable comp we need to look at models of ALL successful comps and yes Group 6 would be included but there are other comps out there that are equally if not more professional/successful that we should be looking at all their models and basing our model on what looks like the best and most successful formula In my opinion it would have to be a three year plan its just a shame those that defected didn't stick around to assist in steering the rudder Does the seniors need a separate governing body hmmm I'm on the fence with this one only because I do think we need someone else in there running the seniors separately but seriously who would you put in charge of running the seniors there is slim pickings out there with the right experience and don't have there own personal agendas |
