Just had a beer down Ambarvale tavern with some mates, heard a rumor that Mac Saints have a captain coach, a local junior by the name of ray, he apparently played for Cowboys. On another subject one of my mates sons plays for a club called collies in the u18, they had there presentation on the weekend, my mate was not happy that they had junior & senior presentation together, they had also promised there un18s jackets for winning there premiership but got no jackets. The father is livid & plans to take his 18yr old & 2 younger brothers to another club or sport, i have suggest AFL but he told me where i could go, he told me politely. This is not a good |

Let the AFL do there thing and waist there money on the greater Sydney area. As long as we have a strong game without all the do-do that has happened over the past 12 months then we will do fine. Does not matter if it is a joint comp or 2 stand alone comps as long as they are strong, Rugby league will come out on top, |

As long as the comps are well supported, Rugby league and its players should have a good season 2011.

This site is for everyone to enjoy, i am just giving a different point of view, as i can't understand how you can create the largest competition in the southern Hemisphere, then abandoned it within 2 seasons especially at a time when another national sport are trying to take over. I may be a AFL supporter, but i also follow rugby league closely, it is hard not follow it when your mates are rugby league fanatics. No need to watch one of those kevin (I think im a local) Sheedy speeches, as you only have to read your local newspapers, the afl is receiving lots of great publicity, where as everything about r/l has been negative. |

Outsider, I am not a follower of AFL and agree that this is not the forum to discuss it but I would just like to say one thing on the matter, The western Sydney side better be ultra competitive in their first season other wise interest will drop off very quickly you only have to look at the swans games when their not going so good and see the following they attract. Rugby League is the working mans game and in the West of Sydney thats what typically people are if anything it may be the kick in the pants the NRL needed to promote the game in the area. |

U blokes can laugh at outsider as much as u like but when theres rumours of afl going to have a crack at Bradbury oval no.1, just to put there posts up behind the league posts u know that league is now under massive attack in c'town. does the game in this area have the right people for this battle? bundy cup ain't far off falling over, nsw have avoided tough unpopular decisions for years and the game in metro Sydney is now ready to cave in |

It's an utter disgrace that afl is on loseby. The crl or whatever rl should've drawn the line in the sand there and put the mexicans strait back in there place. Wen r the socalled experts running footy going to start firing back at afls bully boy tactics? |

Interesting that you should say we need to get people to be on Council, CTWN has had a league man on council for many years now and i wonder what this individual does for the game in CTWN. AFL has a lot of money and i would expect they will target this area, league from my view has taken for granted for many years that this is a league area, but i know AFL has been making in-roads into the area and i have no doubt it will pay off, does league have the personel to handle this, if we take the running of joint comp as an example then i think the answer is no doubt a big NO!!!!!!

How is the rumour mill, who is training? who is where? I know Club Stewart Ron Cameron has retired from the Ingleburn Bulldogs, a man that should be commended for his great work for so long, sad it came to an unhappy ending, no dogs 2011 Mac Fields players headed to Macarthur University, coached by Mathew Hughes, Ingleburn RSL Players flocked in numbers to the new Liverpool Titans, Collies players headed to Group 6 Club, Club known but inside information has asked not to name the club. On a funnier note, I will be enjoying more dinners and playing the pokies at the Campbelltown RSL. Edited by Blue Devil, Dec 8 2010, 12:34 AM.

The afl plan is a ten yr plan, we are not aiming for your present juniors, we want your next generation of kids, that is why we are going into your schools, targeting the young ones. Look at at your local papers it is the off season, yet afl are in your papers every week lol. Latest article was our leader addressing your councilor & business community at the Campbelltown Catholic Club at a cost of $44 per head, what a great turn out, what a great presentation. What is Rugby League Doing, you are destroying your game. & we are lol. |
