Remember - Trial games only - no premiership blazers handed out in March.

Ps. Sorry - for the record Ingleburn beat ESA.
Yeah I know, was just happy the way the boys played in their first hit out of the year

Watching the Reggies go round at Hillier Oval yesterday was great in that many of the lads wouldn't bother to pull on the boots if forced to play at a higher level but with a Reggies competition they can turn up every Sunday and enjoy playing against players of their own standard. In past years these guys were lost to the game ie playing touch or Oz Tag or nothing at all. They say the cream rises to the top and all sides had a few players that will be shaking hand with the first grade coach in the coming weeks.

League gets clean bill of health in Macarthur area
Rugby League8 Mar 11 @ 10:42am by VERA BERTOLA
ON the eve of the 2011 rugby league season in the Macarthur area, the game’s administrators have given the game a clean bill of health.

The sport was rocked at the end of last season with the breakdown of the combined competition between Western Suburbs District Junior Rugby League and CRL Group 6.

It was thrown into further disarray when Wests clubs East Campbelltown and Campbelltown City Kangaroos applied for Group 6 affiliation. A new club, Campbelltown Bulls, has also applied to play with Group 6.

On a representative level, Western Suburbs Magpies NSW Cup team has been stripped of its NRL contracted players with Wests Tigers opting to play them with Balmain.

Wests chairman Wayne Hardy-Smith said Wests would offer a “strong and vibrant senior competition”.

He said the season started on March 27 and would include six first-grade, six second-grade and 10 under-18s teams.

He emphasised Wests had no issue with the three Campbelltown clubs playing with Group 6 but were duty-bound to comply with regulations on playing and training within their competition boundary and have correct insurance coverage.

It didn't look a strong and vibrant competition Friday night and when is a 6 team A Grade and 6 team reserve grade strong and Vibrant, A 10 team 1st Grade and reserve Grade and an 8 team 3rd Grade is what I would call strong and vibrant!

And what I read, they have plenty of issues in letting them 3 clubs go, LMAO

Firstly group 6 didn't approach these clubs, they and the players couldn't off got out quick enough, try 4 clubs, because the Bulls are a makeup of Mac Fields and Ingleburn, why did they go? And honestly, would west A Grade teams play the likes of the roos and Eagles, no way in hell, so if they stayed in your comp Maggie Mai, you wouldn't have a comp, I think you should thank these clubs for leaving, you should be Praising these clubs on your knees!
yep city & easts going has given wests a comp, why not trial minto and easts to settle the issue?
wests always has always will be the little brother of G6, second rate footy

I remember my first year of footy in Campbelltown way back in 1978 for my former club, little did i know that some 30 odd years later, the competition would be looking like this, where and when does this all end, what really would be achieved by the west's comp falling over, more kids on the street running a muck i would say great for the community ( NOT). There is no doubt in my opinion that the current teams would struggle against my club the Eagles, but the Eagles have made a decision in the best interest of there players and club alike, sure some are not happy with the Eagles decision to play in Group 6, but tell me which clubs are always happy with what other clubs decide when its in the best interest of there respective clubs, i know and i would challenge anyone to debate that the Eagles have not tried to be a part of a viable and strong West's comp, they have and it did not work out for them as a club, thus the decision to play in group 6.

It saddens me to time and time again hear 2nd hand information or if you like chinese whispers about each others clubs, i know many look at this forum yet are not members of this forum thus the worry about this forum being shut down for members who are plain frustrated with the current state of the game in the Macarthur region venting there opinions and at times disgust. I am only a volunteer of this great game of our's, i am a parent of three girls, yet i remain in the game because Rugby League helped me as a kid and i want to give that back to the kids of today, those who are watching this forum and those who are members, lets get our act together for in my opinion we are really killing the game in this area.

I dont think its a strong, vibrant comp after last nights action :fight: at the wests meeting,
ashcrot secretary deservidly tore stips off the board, (which the ceo could not be bothered to
attend), about the liverpool titans or the club every one calls the ......., as not one club was consulted
on this issue & now clubs around the liverpool are are losing there juniors, to guess who ......., they also
invented a new rule (without conseltation) that committee members can not serve on the committee of
a board in another district or group, just to effect 2 clubs, this was handed out as a new by law, i wonder
what this is refering too there are only 2 clubs this could effect, what grubby tactics. :finger:
could some one remind the development or recruitment officer (not sure who cares), that warriors have nominated
for first grade, could not gaurentee if they would get any players from wests after othe allocations wests premier
league/ balmain etc, :cstars: :letmesee:

I didn't attend the meeting. No Reserve Grade trials that I know about as referees are at the under 18's 9's tournament on Sunday. I heard LCC Reserves have a trial with Fairfield.

i am hearing very stong rumors that eagles & roos, are planning to take there junior clubs & relocating them
to the group 6 competition within 2 yrs, to me this sounds like a logical thing to do considering the treatment
that they have recieved, it would also be a great boost to the group 6 junior comp. By relocating there juniors
they may lose some players, but they would gain more than they lose, as they would be relocating to the
biggest growth area in south west sydney.

i thought the Liverpool clubs where banned and gagged from talking to each other! terrible that the blood sweat & tears of so many liverpool players and volunteers has been so arrognatly overlooked didnt even get to vote re the titans
holmes family have done so much for the kids of the valley dedicated there whole family life to the footy and now look like losing the lot.
& for what to get some senior teams to make it more difficult for city & easts to leave

I retired from all footy matters a few years ago but was talked back into assisting the senior team at All Saints. Whilst I want my club and all clubs juniors to do well I now only concentrate on senior matters. I did my time as a father with three boys playing in the Wests juniors and acted as coach, secretary, first aider, runner, fund raising, etc, etc etc.
