i am hearing very stong rumors that eagles & roos, are planning to take there junior clubs & relocating them
to the group 6 competition within 2 yrs, to me this sounds like a logical thing to do considering the treatment
that they have recieved, it would also be a great boost to the group 6 junior comp. By relocating there juniors
they may lose some players, but they would gain more than they lose, as they would be relocating to the
biggest growth area in south west sydney.
Can you really expect parents in 6s 7s travling to Picton, mittagong or warragamba for example for a 8 30 kick off when they can play local?? With rising costs you are asking alot not to mention having to play and train within group boundaries?

If they are willing for the love of there club goodluck to them i just cant see it jnrs and snrs are 2 totally dfferent beasts

I guess those clubs that are struggling need to work out amongst themselves what other clubs are offering that they can't match. Clubs need to step up and do the hard work to build. Find sponsors, and develop a plan to grow. Failing that, find a niche market and build from there. The clubs need to use some basic business principles because its necessary to survive in todays environment.

i have heard from a very reliable source that the combined comp is back
on & every campbelltown club is invited, but only problem is that it will be
under group 6 cotrol, is this such a bad idea, who cares who runs it as long
as its a viable & competitive comp, will wests reliquish there power, i think not
so if you wests clubs want the combined comp back together, you now have to stand up
to your board for the good of the game, you clubs own the game so take back control, :correct: :correct:
THE COMBINED COMP IS BACK ON UNDER GROUP 6 RULES WHO WANTS IN. :letmesee: :dunno: :letmesee: :dunno:
:letmesee: :dunno:

would be great if some one eg mad tiger, burner, all saints etc could give there thoughts
on this issue, by the way this is not a rumor watch your local papers as all will be in the
papers within 2 weeks, but ask your secretarys they will know this in writing by wedensday
then the following week the papers will have got hold of it.
but i am only the couch potatoe what would i know.

Couch I'd check your numbers on the Titans transfers, that 100 you're spouting is actually closer to a quarter of that, AND thats only ones applied for, not accepted.

Group 6 clubs voted overwhelmingly to go it alone last year, what would change their minds now ?

Exactly STU everyone here forgets the Vote!!

Talk of a combined comp would get most group clubs offside!!

we would be facing a mass exodus to group 7 if our players where told it was back on!!

Any news on results from the pre season comp tonight?
I think some of you guys owe All Saints an apology. :finger:
I only watched the All Saints V Warriors game tonight but low and behold Warriors were playing with not less than 4 West Tigers u/20 players
All Saints still ran out victors 16 or 18? to 8 but had no easy job doing it.

Wests Pre-season Round 3 - Results from Hillier Oval played tonight
Eaglevale 22 defeated Titans 12
Minto defeated Ingleburn RSL on forfeit
All Saints 18 defeated Warriors 8

Not official but I believe next weeks semi finals at Hillier Oval are as follows:
1 Eaglevale v 4 All Saints
2 Minto v 3 Titans

Two winners to play in the Pre-season Final

The 1st grade coach advised me today that a few of them had injuries, some couldn't get out of work and if I would have known this earlier, I could have for some of the 2nd grade team to play, as we had a few of the 2nd grade team train with firsts last night. Come the season they will be fine. Being pre-season, a few of the boys can't get our of working certain nights until the compm kicks off, so I have been told. 1st grade has. Squad of 20, and 2nds has a squad of 24, with some of the 2nds to back up throughout the year if needed.

Are you sure it wasn't a case of a few pulled heart strings coming up against minno :worship: :worship: :worship:    more excuses out of RSL so far than in the clubs history will be become a sure 2 points each week for every team :winner: :winner:
could of used a couple of nyc players and your reggies surely you wood of had a squad.it is just concerning that at 5:30 yous forfeited
can you blame them? just average park players who'd be belted by a team thatd win G6 reggies. wests comp will be dead inside 6 rounds.
if this g6 offer is for real times now to stand up for yourselves

Did you ever think Burner, the actions from your club has destroyed the last glimsp of credibility the competition had, how can a club that suppose to have 2 teams, A and Reserve Grade forfeit? And like one of the postings said, your club has had so many excuses regarding phantom numbers, ask the real Tigers to contract another 20 national 20's players so you can field a side, we may cut a number of players this week, I will send them to you, see I'm not a bad bloke afterall.

And Warrior 78, how ordinary are you blokes, you had 4 N20's players, that's 1/4 of your starting side and you still couldn't beat All Saints.

Speaking of All Saints, alot of questions been asked, none getting answered, maybe Mad Tiger and Burner could help you out!

Great to see the competition looking so strong and vibrant! Do yourselves and your players a favour, go to Group 6 and go under there rule, that is true what the rumours on this forum is saying!

Went to the reborn Wests A Grade, not impressed that's all I'll say!
what werent u impressed with sitter?
I paid $5 to watch this standard of footy, will not be doing it again, even if the old man wants to have a look, at least these clubs can try to get some sort of proffesionalism about themselves and there players, wearing board shorts for A Grade, common! What I seen Friday was below 3rd grade last year. That's sad
No offence but, good..

Im sick of the constant bagging by the same people who are not even giving the competition a chance...

But seriously if you aren't interested (Which you've already stated about 6 times) then go and leave this forum to itself and the people who do actually care, cause really the negative comments are getting boring....
tiger has the cat got your tounge on the brown incident, i believe there could be some ramifications
from this, very serious breech of the rules.
PS: are the wests comp having a points system for there players, or has this been abandoned
due to numbers + a new club being admited & mino having a stacked side.
didnt your chairmain say that you would have a min 18 sides not including roos or eagles,
as this was publicly stated in the local paper.
Cat hasnt got my tongue... I and our club know the situation and thats all the matters, Has nothing to do with u...
still a very serious breach and if it was allowed to occur by any management, some serious heads should roll, i just hope eagles have the contract to back there words and esa should pay heavily for fielding a contracted player......

Anyone have the results from today's games? Did the under 18's 9 A Side eventuate? I have heard they didn't have many teams, did they pull the plug on it? How can an area and population this size, struggle to get a 15,16 and 18's age group, the board has a lot to answer for!
