Anyone have the results from today's games? Did the under 18's 9 A Side eventuate? I have heard they didn't have many teams, did they pull the plug on it? How can an area and population this size, struggle to get a 15,16 and 18's age group, the board has a lot to answer for! u/18 s 9 a side winners were esa and collegians

i am hearing very stong rumors that eagles & roos, are planning to take there junior clubs & relocating them to the group 6 competition within 2 yrs, to me this sounds like a logical thing to do considering the treatment that they have recieved, it would also be a great boost to the group 6 junior comp. By relocating there juniors they may lose some players, but they would gain more than they lose, as they would be relocating to the biggest growth area in south west sydney.
Can you really expect parents in 6s 7s travling to Picton, mittagong or warragamba for example for a 8 30 kick off when they can play local?? With rising costs you are asking alot not to mention having to play and train within group boundaries? If they are willing for the love of there club goodluck to them i just cant see it jnrs and snrs are 2 totally dfferent beasts im sure neither of these clubs would want to leave as their aim is to represent who and where they are from, but i do expect west juniors to try and push them away as punishment for finding something better for there seniors, as all clubs are we pride ourselves on the color we wear and the area we represent, that is why we need to be successful in g6 and supported from ctown side of things.

I believe ESA have got a few to come back I heard they have 4 to come back from sg ball. I was able to watch a few games at the 9 a side tournament. Only got to see 1 of ESA's games and they looked very well drilled and fit. To think there are still at least four quality players to go back to that side rings alarm bells!!!
Don't mean to be pessimistic but ESA will be in a league of their own if all this is true.hopefully other clubs can field some quality players to make it competitive.

what has happen to warriors club BD? u never short an opinion and u right across the smiths creek from them? cant belieave we havent got 18s You need to get out of your safari suit and into the millenium era, you club has never recovered since the theft of your grand stand, though it was only a stand it was the blood sweat and tears built by members that would die for your club, it seems the Warrior spirit is gone and it's a shame, I was bought up watching the great Warriors in the late 70's Early 80's, and some of my best football memories, it's sad that a club like yours couldn't stand up and fight to become a great group 6 club Like you once were! But you have to look at management and your club committee, I feel for diehards like yourself but if it's any consolation we have 2 under 18's, you can come and watch them if you like!
I hear you guys are having a name change to Campbelltown Tigers because you will have that many Tigers players just to take the field each week!

Hey Mr All Saints, being the chairman of the senior committee, can you inform everyone of the Teams and Structure of the senior competition, how many A Grade and Reserve Grade teams do you have, I am now hearing 4 and 4, and you know I would know, because you know that I know people that know People and they know what's going on, you know that don't you!
As the Chairman of the senior committee, the success of this competition depends on you! What is your next option, do you have plan B being chairman

BD I would spend less time on this forum and more time trying to work out why your club can't win a 1st grade premiership. Let's face it, you have plenty of numbers over there but for years your side has choked when it counts. Can you remind us when was the last time you actually won the comp???
No disrespect. I agree with your move to group 6. Although it may be worthwhile making some adjustments to your coaching staff. Perhaps bring in some people that know how to win when it counts.

Are you dumb or what, the last premiership was 2007 which wasn't that long ago, and let's see what the club has won in the last few years, 2007 1st Grade Premiers, under 18's Group 6 Div 1 2009 Premiers, Cabra 9 A Side Premiers bowl and plate winners 2010, Wests Seniors Club Chamions 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010, Group 6 Club Chamions 2010 and Barefoot NSWRL "club of the year"
you are a perfect example that you don't have to have a long neck to be a goose! You are right for one thing, yes we had to move on some poor coachs and we have done that, thanks for the tip!

Forgive me. I forgot about 07 amongst all the other failed attempts. Would generally expect more from such a super club. Is that the best you've got! I am very happy with our clubs history, 10 years we have concentrated on seniors, and 2 premierships, 2001, 2007, not bad, could be worse! We could be like Inglebye RSL, never won one! We work on being competetive and winning Premierships are a bonus, we could of not entered a team in Bundy for the past 3 years and wipped out the west comp, but what's the fun in that, we could stay in west and garuntee a Premiership, but what's the fun in that!
It obvious you have no idea, you should join the AFL guy and pull the pin Leagueman.
