its a disgrace in this day and age where by everything is sue sue sue, i believe certain ppl already entertained that thought previously to try and gag some good hard working volunteers from speaking out about what is happening to league in this area and as they were advised then that they were kidding themselves and as all legal advice was pro bono im sure this help can be called on again to help protect all your god given right to free speech, the best way to quieten this forum is for the junior league to lift its game or the clubs to remove the jl, it must be known now that we cant be bullied anymore.

Well a threat of legal action has come from Wests Junior League due to comments written in this section of the forum.

I am appauled that the Junior League is considerring wasting money that could be better spent on junior player development rather than chasing down certain members of this forum who dare to disagree with the boards decisions.

There are many avenues available to have posts a individual deems offensive to be reviewed by the volunteer moderators. The fact they have failed to utilise these options saddens me.

I will not be making any members details available as requested by them as I have an obligation to protect members privacy under the NSW Privacy Act 1988.

I urge the Wests Junior League to instead publically address the genuine concerns members have rather than try to squash their concerns with threats by lawyers and legal action.

I also urge the local rugby League community to stand up to and not be bullied by a committee that is meant to be serving the best interests of Rugby League. Please formally state your disgust at this approach taken by the Wests Junior League committee, but do so in a professional manner.

Thankyou for your support.
Well I know this all to well, Australia Day I was subpoenaed to court for a lawsuit Against me from the Junior League, yes a volunteer of the game, our club is lucky enough to have not only a solicitor but a Barrister as an Honorary Member, he was fantastic and looked after us pro Bono. The sad thing is, this is the 3rd time he had to fight for us and the Junior League having it's own solicitor must be costing thousands!

It is sad to see juniors money wasted in law suits, I will refrase that KIDS money being wasted!

And volunteers like myself could be out of pocket if we didn't have these connections, the offer is there for you Galah if needed, he will help!

What we should do is send the whole forum on to David Gallop, ACA, Daily Telegraph etc and see where freedom of speech will get us, this area is in all sorts and needs help ASAP.

All these complaints aired on the forum, has the Junior League contacted anyone to fix these issues, I went into the office once to give ideas to help the area, (combining Competitions) back in 2007 only to be told I was White anting there comp! They have no time for ideas and won't listen to the concerns of people, players, volunteers, officials and Clubs, Rugby League is in a sad state of affairs.

This will only get worse when the Group 6 Competition starts and clubs will be forced to play out of area! Won't look good for Rugby League!
                   ur a legend bd and its great that you have such honorable members, i think all clubs should try to attract these type of ppl as jl seems to be in self preservation mode and 1 can only wonder what they are protecting as them seems last on their list

people like bd & his president should be getting awards not suspensions for what they have done for rl in c'town
any club agreeing to the jl using kids money for court action should hang there heads in shame
of all the low points in ctown rl goings ons in recent times this is rite up there
the clubs should do what that kid in mt druitt did to the bully, powerbomb whole lot & start again
awful day for ctown rugby league

Interesting that we are talking about Bullies, today is national "say no to bully's day".Also interesting was an overnight email from the President of my former club, this email is indicative of why change needs to take place, if i may one of the things he said and i quote "as for the junior league is running perfectly fine & they will be running even better when they get rid of you & all your bum budddies!!!!!..". His words not mine, strangely enough this President was recently made a Life member of West's, this President is just an example of why the area is in a mess and his comments are an example of why so many on this forum are frustrated.

I went to the first senior meeting for the West's comp, the Chairman at the end of the meeting apologised for the behaviour of the meeting. People may not like others, but i know both of us from the Eagles at the meeting held respect for position of Chair and the Position of CEO, something others at this meeting failed to do, but another example of why things are currently like they are. I guess i ask myself now, who exactly will make an attempt to fix this for the sake of our children?????

WHY? Well in my opinion the area has rested on the fact that they have an NRL team all be it part-time and that will attract players to the game. I also have not ever seen or heard of a business plan with a view to the future of the game in the area, i dont believe that anyone has considered the risk factors, that is opposition of rival codes. I also know that current admin of the game have been there for some time now, why is there not a rotational system in place of the admin or if you like the Board, new people bring new ideas.

Who is now going to take on the job of mending all these fences, wether everyone likes it or not this is a priority for the area, as i believe if it is not done then the area will go from a thriving junior league nursery to a ailing area just managing the cope, and you can bet all you like that the rival codes are watching and waiting to pounce like seagulls on a hot chip at Manly beach.....
Hey Couch, seen your team of the century, you might need to give them a game plan, they just don't know what they are doing! Who is the Coach?
back from my sin binning for my team of the century posting , not sure why it was all in fun, no intention to offend anyone
i am now working on a group 6 team of the century will post when finnished.

bd have to watch what i say too many sensitive people had a coach but have had to get rid of him allready, great start,
am looking for one will let you know when i have one, how about you coach them bd i am sure you could teach them a thing
or 2 no money involved its all for the love of the game.

All Saints looking strong, not! ESA hammered All Saints but the highlight of the night, Neddy getting sent, surprise surprise, but Minto through to the final drew with Pirates with 12 men! These 4 will be the 4 A Grade, they will play each other 4 times through the year, exciting

Was an interesting night.
ESA dominated all saints in the first game. ESA looked sharp and all saints lacked firepower up front in my opinion.
Minto always looked in control against titans.
Going into the final I would have said ESA would get home against Minto ( judging from what I seen on the night).... But the final game was a let down. The ESA side that played an hour before looked nothing like the one that dominated all saints and Minto cruised to an easy win.

I agree mate, from what Minto had last night 80 minutes is going to be a hell of a lot of footy. Fitness will be their biggest problem - with discipline a close second. ESA look the goods and just need some more time together. I'd say All Saints boys need to spend some more time with a footy in their hands, and outside of the gym (Arm curls for the girls hey All Saints? ). Titans need to learn to play the percentages.

In saying that all of the teams had their good points, and for all 4 teams last night these were the only trials they've had. 20 minute halves (with no time off) doesn't give us much into how the comp will go, but its good to see.

Hey, has anyone got the draw yet, wasn't that suppose to come out last week, BD said All Saints is the chairman of the seniors. Do you have the draw? They would have the draw for the whole season wouldn't they? And is it still going to be 6 teams, my mate at Ingleburn says there is in fighting and reserve grade players don't like the first grade coach and first grade don't have enough players for first grade, Warriors are gone! So will it be a 4 team A Grade comp? One week away and we should have some information!

Yeh, that is true, West juniors had asked for us and Kangaroos to put our Reserve Grade and 3rd Grade into the West competition to help numbers, we had put it to our coach's, players and committee member and it was declined unamously. The Campbelltown Eagles will play in the Group 6 comp with there whole senior grades!

I spoke to a player from LCC last night and (although he had had a few) says they are training and have gained more players. He was talking up that LCC would take out the reserve grade comp :cstars:
