Gotta say the ground at moss vale looked fantastic today. Until you got tackled on it. Pretty solid under foot.
Agreed
It looked as soft as a bed, it actually looked as green as the Campbelltown Stadium, you guys done well TC, thought you were unlucky!
Yeah it looked soft. But when I took a hit up at the start of our game my legs got taken out from me and landed right on my head.
I think if you got dropped on your head at anz stadium it would still hurt also. I don't think any ground in group 6 has ideal conditions especially now in the semis with all the games & training teams have had too do during the year.
The field was rock but like you said all fields are like that at this time of year must admit kirkam look pretty much like a dust bowl last week ...
Would you prefere the cricket pitch at Waminda?
I would of liked to play some games there this year it wouldve been great ...

The good old cricket Pitch, our reserve grade hooker could throw a great leg spin on that pitch, Little Paki  nothing like being tackled on a cricket Pitch, builds character

We got done 24-10 by Appin - our boys need to learn you cant win with 12 men disipline kills us and at 10 all with 15 to go the 12 boys left on put in hard just to much defence and poor disipline killed us so next week do or die and hopefully with 13 men for the whole game, very stressful that some guys just dont get the 1 punch rule and let thier team mates down :finger:
macbull have you seen a bigger hit from a start to a game then front our front rower? your bloke did well to get up
5/8 running it up of kick offs always asking for trouble - was a different story when the same guy your front rower got palmed off and sat on his backside by our big front rower late in the game ;) you guys deserved the win playing more disiplined footy but all in all was a good game i thought shame the field was hard as a rock very dry and like concrete
congratulations to Appin 18s great game of football boys..good luck this sunday ...

its a shame their reserve grade don't get a mention after the hard work they also had this year to finish undefeated...by the looks of it all they care about is the first grade :finger: :finger: :finger:

It's a massive day this sunday.
With 9 different clubs beign represented across the 5 games, we are expecting a huge crowd over the day at Oakdale.
The crowd at Moss Vale was good last week, but it really dropped off in first grade. I know that Mittagong were well represented in 18's & Reserves, but i was suprised that there was a bigger crowd for the reserves than firsts.

Yeah i noticed that too.

Was hilarious when they tried to give our kicker do-do but he kept slotting them over.

It probably has to do with the fact the they had 2 teams playing one after the other and it's only a 10 min drive down the road.

I suppose 1st Grade is what people care about, it's similar to say Group 6 to West, everyone is talking about G6 but does anyone care who wins in West, there hasn't been 1 article in the Campbelltown paper about west A Grade all year, you could ask anyone in the main street of Campbelltown who is playing in the West Grand Final, they wouldn't have a clue, ask who is playing in the reserve grade group 6, they wouldn't have a clue, ask who is playing in the 1st Grade G6 and they would say Eagles, just the way it is! Magpies should know this with NRL and Premier League, very similar!

My best wishes must go to Mick "Angry" Bradstock, who broke his arm on the weekend against Oakdale. To go go the whole season and be in such devastating form and miss the Grand Final must be heart wrenching. The Eagles will miss him on Grand Final Day. I hope you will back up for a few more years Mick when you get over this.

mate you wont have much luck if your an excisting wests club as you say, best beat is to form a new club get it incorporated and apply to Group 6 to affiliate, example if say your from mac saints change your name to mac whatever and get the name incorporated similar to what city and roos did then you need to be prepared to play/train in Group 6 boundaries, Mate if you genuine PM me and ill talk you through it and what you need to do ;) not sure of your chances of getting voted in but you never know we did :winner:

Mate missing a grand final is devastating for anyone no matter how they play and his a massive part of our team and it will just give us more motivation to win for him and there's alot more dirty players in the comp then him ...

Poisel vs masters, McCauley and Martin vs Taylor and sheppard, young vs moon. Then you have eckler, bowers and dreves for picton and Lowe, blewett, valentine and fryer for oakdale. Going to be a great spectical if both teams turn up. I'll tip picton for the upset by 2.
