As a current player with East's i would suspect that there would be an increase in numbers, but not because of recent events, but due to the hard-work from some great people over a long period of time..... |

There will definetly be an increase in numbers through them playing in Group 6, most new people to the club wouldn't even know what the club has been building. Anything that makes any club more competitive the better. |

What's it to you? We have re-recruited some forwards. So we no longer have to have guys filling in the forward pack And recruited 1 or 2 backs. |

tc i thought that you had a strong side last season, your back line was quick on the flanks the forwards needed a little support you should consider Martin in the second row he is far better suited to that position |

Have you seen him play in the forwards? With his physical size i would agree with you, but Graeme's game definately suits the flanks, he is strong ball runner, is actually quite quick, he is pretty imposing outwide, and tough to defend 1 on 1. He scored 18 tries last year, as did Crouch, so i think we will be pretty happy to keep him where he is. |

have to agree with you E.A.S.T CTWN i would think the all 3 new clubs will have an increase in player numbers, also i would think all club in the group 6 comp will have an increase in player numbers, due to the great work of the board & clubs to make group 6 one of the strongest leagues in nsw. |

Some signings listed on Camden's website: Alex Vincent - Camden jnr, who in 2009 played with Penrith Brothers (Bundy Cup) and in 2010 played at Thirroull, we are pleased he has returned. Alex is a hard working Front rower/ 2nd rower. Chris Brown - Chris was the 2009 Group 6 player of the year, who headed also to Thirroull, unfortunately an injury marred his 2010 campaign. Chris is back at the Club and is fully fit and geared to get Camden to the semis. Chris Weaver - Chris has played for lower grades at Norths and Balmain and Nth Tamworth but has recently been playing at Cabramatta in the Bundy Cup the last few years. Chris is an experienced Front Rower, Chris has moved to Camden and is keen to play for the town, he loves the town and enjoys the rivalry of country towns. The club has also resigned, Troy Cohen, Seb Peterson, Luke Wisby, Matt Jones, Elliott Kidd, Patrick Purcell, Tim Johnsone, Paul Neville & Adam Marshall. Good to see that they have listed these as all clubs should. It helps build more excitement for the coming season. Has anyone got any more? |

Dalton's new goal Leading Kangaroos http://www.macarthuradvertiser.com.au/news/local/sport/rugby-league/daltons-new-goal-leading-kangaroos/2063694.aspx ![]() CAMPBELLTOWN Kangaroos' new coach Drew Dalton has fulfilled his dream of finishing his rugby league playing career in the Group 6 first grade competition. Making his debut as coach this season, Dalton will be following in the footsteps of his father Dean, who went around the Group 6 grounds in the mid-1980s, but as a Camden Rams player. Dalton, who will be captain-coach, hopes to lead by example on the playing field. "I like to lead the way on the field," he said. "I will have someone I can trust on the sideline as assistant coach. "This is my first year getting a taste of being coach and I've always had a desire to do it. "I've got the commitment and the earlier I get into it, the further I could get and maybe use it as a stepping stone." Also a Penrith Panthers' under-20s assistant coach, Dalton is confident he can improve on the Kangaroos' final placing last season, when they just missed out on reaching the play-offs. Dalton, who played with Mounties last season in the Bundaberg Red Cup, has set goals for himself and his team. "I'm pretty realistic with my goals as it's my first season as coach," he said. "I want the team to have fun and enjoy the game. "I'll be out there trying to win, but if the team isn't enjoying themselves, they'll not play well. "If we can achieve that and reach the play-offs, I'll feel as if I've done a good job." An opening round derby clash against Campbelltown Eagles awaits Dalton, as well as gruelling games against the league's heavyweights, but it is a challenge he hopes to meet head on. "I'd like to think we can build on last season and improve on that," Dalton said. "I think the competition is very even, there's not as big a gap between the teams now. "If a team doesn't turn up to play, the opposition will pull your pants down — it's that close." Having played his junior footy with Eagle Vale, Dalton can play at lock, halfback or five-eighth. A Wests Magpies Premier League player in 1999, Dalton went on to play for Parramatta Eels, under the guidance of coach Brian Smith in the same competition in 2005. Dalton's sporting accolades include the Jim Beam Cup Player of the Year Award in 2007. Dalton's brother, Anthony, an outside back, has also committed to the Kangaroos this season. The Kangaroos train Tuesdays and Thursdays at Stromeferry Reserve, Raby. |
