I can't claim it.
Mick Pes said it Darren Nolan a number of years ago, when Nolan tried sledging him while playing in the top grade.

Knockout action at Loseby
http://www.southernhighlandnews.com.au/news/local/sport/rugby-league/knockout-action-at-loseby/2118568.aspx

IT was all action at Loseby Park on the weekend, with junior trial matches and a Group 6 Nines Knockout competition. While Bowral lost their three matches in the Nines tournament, the club's vice president Adam Sargood said it "went alright"

Unfortunately the Blues went down in all three of their pool matches, beaten by Appin, Campbelltown Kangaroos and Macarthur Bulls.

Despite the losses, Sargood said coach Terry Fish was "very happy with it".
Sargood said 17-year-old Dominic Pringle had a "blinder of a day" and Scott Bishop also had a good first hit out for the Blues. With a number of new players joining the club this season, Sargood said the side just needed time to gel.

Robertson also took part in the day, and came away with much better results. The Spuds won all three of their pool matches against Camden Reserve, Campbelltown Eagles and Warragamba, before going down to Campbelltown City. Coach Craig Pemberton said all three matches were close and the side did well, but could have improved their running game.He said the under-18 player who stepped up had a brilliant game and the forwards also did well.Robertson have the bye this weekend, and Pemberton said they will be watching the other matches very carefully. He said his team was as fit or fitter than their competition and there was no reason for them to feel intimidated by bigger sides. With a few injuries, Pemberton said they were still looking for a few players and would focus on coordination of their halves in preparation for their first match.

Bowral will travel to Appin to play the Bulldogs who won the Nines Knockout competition, while Warragamba won the plate. With Appin the third grade premiers last year, Sargood said it would be a "good challenge" to start the season.

Sargood said thanks went to Group 6 for their support, and also to Bowral president Shaun Chapman and his family who manned the canteen and barbecue throughout the day

Moderators Note: Even though some are claiming Appin are too strong for 3rd grade i dont think a nines tournament is anything to guage a teams performance by , lets start making judgements when the real footy gets underway.

THE Group 6 first grade rugby league season will start in style on Sunday.
The opening round has set up five potential blockbuster matches.

All are local derby games.

Last season's beaten grand finalists Picton will host Thirlmere/Tahmoor at Victoria Park.

The Oaks will be at home to Oakdale and last year's premiers Moss Vale will host Mittagong.

Campbelltown City Kangaroos will host their city counterparts Campbelltown Eagles.

Camden will take on rivals Narellan at Kirkham Park on Friday.

The teams will have a break with a free weekend after only three rounds of the competition.

No games have been scheduled for Easter Sunday on April 24.

The competition resumes the following weekend.

Country Rugby League Group 6 transition worth it: Campbelltown clubs
http://macarthur-chronicle-campbelltown.whereilive.com.au/sport/story/country-rugby-league-group-6-transition-worth-it-campbelltown-clubs/

Posted Image

ON the eve of the Country Rugby League Group 6 opening round, the two Campbelltown clubs who defected from the Wests district say the pain of the cross-over will be well worth it.

East Campbelltown and Campbelltown City Kangaroos will proudly line up for Group 6 on Sunday following a season-long battle with officialdom and rules and regulations on boundaries.

New club Campbelltown Bulls also are looking forward to putting the off-field dramas behind and getting on with playing footy.

Eagles president Andrew Ingram reiterated the club supported the combined Group 6 and Wests competition but the two leagues couldn’t get on.

“The decision to align with Group 6 was based simply on the better product,” he said.

The 2011 competition gets under way this weekend with the Eagles firmed as first-grade favourites following their 22-16 win over Thirlmere in the pre-season tournament grand final on Sunday.

Round 1: Camden v Narellan (Saturday, Kirkham Park, 7pm), The Oaks v Oakdale (Sunday, Dudley Chesham, 2.30pm), Moss Vale v Mittagong (Sunday, Community Oval, 2.30pm), Picton v Thirlmere (Sunday, Victoria Park, 2.30pm), Eagles v Kangaroos (Sunday, Kirkham Park, 3pm).

the community are behind the dogs oakdale have big sponsors the group wont help little clubs (like appin) get to the top appin gate prices are the lowest in the group cause they are stuck with teams from campbelltown sneaking under the fence not paying the gate fee then you go to places like picton for a trial and have to pay $5.
how do you get on top? RICH GET RICHER POOR GET POORER!!!
surely if you put in a 1st and res you would get homes games and the group would get behind you blokes
who runs your club why not after winning 3 grade last year advertise for 1st and res in off season with the combine comp fallin over you would have got the players from ctown your club may not win 1st first year in but its a start you will make money and be bigger 2nd year in
poor planning id sack your committe tonight for allowing the glory jacket hunting to continue :hey: to many :drink: :drink: at you blokes committe meetings :drink: :drink:
we have around 22 players, so no chance of first and reserves.. and if side plays first grade would get beaten by 50 each week and where does that leave the club this year? Would end up losing players and be worse off then we are now, maybe not even finish the season. reserve grade seems the best fit for appin dogs this year.
like the movie said biuld it they will come ;) if your club advertised pre season for 1st and res you would have the players :correct: obviously not in the moving forward plans of your club and happy to stay in low grades chasing jakets
me old mate merv actual called me last nigh and said they where taking 2500 of the gate and the bludgers were getting beat by 90 each week so no excuses there thye never had a fenced in ground :finger:
he alos tells me appin tried to get teh new boys bulls kicked out teh comp after a tuff trial having they coach write a letter to the group whinning about the bulls on field acts  even said he feared for his kids and wont take em to bulls games no more :finger: some shiela even said she had a disc of all teh stuff the complained about be low and behold when a investigation was called no disc was produced :dunno: looks like appin just dont want teh competition boys time to have a few cups of concrete and harden up there is no excuses you can build a club if you try :correct: time to stop bluffin and bump up
i hear easts and the new bulls wont be pushed around and 40 points each week they will laugh at i dont think it will be as easy as appin think these 2 teams im told wont lie down :worship:
i think the bulls need the cups of concrete mickrobbo i watched all 3 games where appin made easy work of mac feilds sorry mac bulls.. lots of talk everyone wants appin move up i heard the bulls were playing reserves guess appin brought them back reality there playing 2 div aswell should make for good contest if bulls arnt kicked out of comp
why would mac bulls be kicked out :dunno: my mail is appin is doin all they can to ensure this happens and by you saying that garbage looks to be true
i am told only 8 from mac fields are playing and appin has 6/7 warriors so can appin been now called c/town warrior DOGS
come on appin the whole group will start to think your club is a grub club mac bulls will be in firts res 3rd 18s next year after 1 year in where will appin be after teh jacket hunters are gone and you are pushed up
you bloke seem to forget what 3rds is all about putting scores on kids and talkin it up like its great stuff to watch take a bow boys well done :correct:
 wats the talk about appin warriors wat you smoking its 2011 not 90,92 your missing something those 6 or seven players did play for warriors key word did good luck two the bulls time the the old heads hung the boots up and you will find appin arnt the grubs hope the bulls stay in the comp then bulls realise there a while off playing first or reserves

3rd grade is about old heads and young blokes thats what its there for to give em footy to play and clubs to build off :correct:
common sense tells you the bulls 3rd grade this year will be there res next year cant stack in a side firts year in and stick around in 1 grade thats not the real deal is it :finger:
as the fence sitter dude said they get oran park its game on for em they could become a real force within 3 years  and from what ive heard they have alot of corporate pull to come in next year so chasing and attracting players wont be a problem :winner:

so anyway i hear the 2 ctown clubs are playing at camden this week in a local derby clash and camden and narellan also should be a good watch camden always good to watch games there having a few frosties :drink: :drink: :drink:
