Interesting comments, about appin and chasing a jacket, i watched the Appin V East's game and have to say East give that game to them through some critical errors, my mail is that East had some of there regular players missing, perhpas Coach Potts can enlighten us on his teams current situation.

I can't claim it. Mick Pes said it Darren Nolan a number of years ago, when Nolan tried sledging him while playing in the top grade. |

Knockout action at Loseby http://www.southernhighlandnews.com.au/news/local/sport/rugby-league/knockout-action-at-loseby/2118568.aspx ![]() IT was all action at Loseby Park on the weekend, with junior trial matches and a Group 6 Nines Knockout competition. While Bowral lost their three matches in the Nines tournament, the club's vice president Adam Sargood said it "went alright" Unfortunately the Blues went down in all three of their pool matches, beaten by Appin, Campbelltown Kangaroos and Macarthur Bulls. Despite the losses, Sargood said coach Terry Fish was "very happy with it". Sargood said 17-year-old Dominic Pringle had a "blinder of a day" and Scott Bishop also had a good first hit out for the Blues. With a number of new players joining the club this season, Sargood said the side just needed time to gel. Robertson also took part in the day, and came away with much better results. The Spuds won all three of their pool matches against Camden Reserve, Campbelltown Eagles and Warragamba, before going down to Campbelltown City. Coach Craig Pemberton said all three matches were close and the side did well, but could have improved their running game.He said the under-18 player who stepped up had a brilliant game and the forwards also did well.Robertson have the bye this weekend, and Pemberton said they will be watching the other matches very carefully. He said his team was as fit or fitter than their competition and there was no reason for them to feel intimidated by bigger sides. With a few injuries, Pemberton said they were still looking for a few players and would focus on coordination of their halves in preparation for their first match. Bowral will travel to Appin to play the Bulldogs who won the Nines Knockout competition, while Warragamba won the plate. With Appin the third grade premiers last year, Sargood said it would be a "good challenge" to start the season. Sargood said thanks went to Group 6 for their support, and also to Bowral president Shaun Chapman and his family who manned the canteen and barbecue throughout the day Moderators Note: Even though some are claiming Appin are too strong for 3rd grade i dont think a nines tournament is anything to guage a teams performance by , lets start making judgements when the real footy gets underway. Country Rugby League Group 6 transition worth it: Campbelltown clubs http://macarthur-chronicle-campbelltown.whereilive.com.au/sport/story/country-rugby-league-group-6-transition-worth-it-campbelltown-clubs/ ![]() ON the eve of the Country Rugby League Group 6 opening round, the two Campbelltown clubs who defected from the Wests district say the pain of the cross-over will be well worth it. East Campbelltown and Campbelltown City Kangaroos will proudly line up for Group 6 on Sunday following a season-long battle with officialdom and rules and regulations on boundaries. New club Campbelltown Bulls also are looking forward to putting the off-field dramas behind and getting on with playing footy. Eagles president Andrew Ingram reiterated the club supported the combined Group 6 and Wests competition but the two leagues couldn’t get on. “The decision to align with Group 6 was based simply on the better product,” he said. The 2011 competition gets under way this weekend with the Eagles firmed as first-grade favourites following their 22-16 win over Thirlmere in the pre-season tournament grand final on Sunday. Round 1: Camden v Narellan (Saturday, Kirkham Park, 7pm), The Oaks v Oakdale (Sunday, Dudley Chesham, 2.30pm), Moss Vale v Mittagong (Sunday, Community Oval, 2.30pm), Picton v Thirlmere (Sunday, Victoria Park, 2.30pm), Eagles v Kangaroos (Sunday, Kirkham Park, 3pm). |

3rd grade is about old heads and young blokes thats what its there for to give em footy to play and clubs to build off common sense tells you the bulls 3rd grade this year will be there res next year cant stack in a side firts year in and stick around in 1 grade thats not the real deal is it as the fence sitter dude said they get oran park its game on for em they could become a real force within 3 years and from what ive heard they have alot of corporate pull to come in next year so chasing and attracting players wont be a problem so anyway i hear the 2 ctown clubs are playing at camden this week in a local derby clash and camden and narellan also should be a good watch camden always good to watch games there having a few frosties
