I hear that fromm Group 6 and Southern Division player Todd Tasker is heading to Narellan Jets in 2011. Also has brought down former Group 4 player Ken Hughes to play at narellan. So that is a great signing to Narellan. Two former country players together in the same team. |

Eagles to don new jersey SEAN CUNNINGHAM http://www.macarthuradvertiser.com.au/news/local/sport/football-australian-rules/eagles-to-don-new-jersey/2026138.aspx ![]() EAST Campbelltown Eagles Junior Rugby League Football Club is planning a huge year of celebrations next season during their 50th anniversary year. A highlight will be the Eagles in a jersey to be worn for the first time next season — a jersey designed for their 50th anniversary. The jersey is similar to the design the club wore in the 1970s when competing in Group 6. Club president Andrew Ingram said the "the butchers strip jersey" was designed to avoid a clash of colours when the Eagles played Moss Vale, which wore white with a red V at the time. The Eagles also plan to wear red shorts and socks to be different from Moss Vale next season. Originating from Campbelltown East Primary School, the Eagles entered their first team as under-15s. They went on to be a junior club which only fielded teams from under-6 to under-16 and they would feed their juniors to Campbelltown City Kangaroos. Their first home stadium was Orana Park (Campbelltown Stadium) before the Eagles moved to Waminda Oval in 1968. Last season was a highlight for the Eagles when they won the Group 6 Senior Club Championship and the Barefoot Rugby League NSW Club of the year. Eagles' development and coaching co-ordinator Daniel Draper is hoping 2011 will be a big year for the club. "It would be a goal for the club to win the premiership in our 50th year," Draper said. "We won it in our 40th anniversary year. "The boys will be reminded about our anniversary year with a 50th logo on our jersey." There will be a two-pronged attack on the premiership with two coaches in charge of first grade next year. Richard Barnes, who coached the Eagles last season and former Camden coach Jason Hazelton will team up in their bid to win the premiership. "They work really well together," Draper said. "They've teamed up to become a very good partnership." The Eagles will celebrate the club's 50th anniversary at Campbelltown RSL Club in July. The Eagles train each Tuesday and Thursday from 6.30pm at Waminda Oval. Reserve grade coach for next season will be Damien Kennedy and Gary Potts will coach third grade. Details: 0425 335 345. |

The Magpies will be a completly student based side this year and all none students will come to the Bulls with the attraction of other hopeful players of course which will be carefully reveiwed who is decided to take on board - At the moment the Bulls standard is of 3rd Grade but with exposure and interest that could change as the off season progresses which i am sure if it does may look to jump up grades, but it this early stage its all baby steps pending on sponsorship and the likes, as the club is not in a position to pay players as yet - an application has been submitted to Camden Council to use Onslow Park @ Camden show ground which would be used for home games and a training base decided in the near future - The club is very hopeful of entry and looking forward to playing in one of the best Group competions around and would be very honourd if accepted into the Group. |

Well done Rookie, I can't believe that after all these years and how old you are, you still carry the Rookie nickname, it's good to see people like yourself stand up after many years playing the game and working hard to form a new club, it looks like your wife shares a common interest, well have to catch up soon and have a beer or two, and anything I can do to help you have my number, remember, it's not going to be easy but you will get plenty of support from Group 6 and the clubs, it is amazing how supportive they can be! |

Hi all, this is my first post, i really enjoy reading the passion shown from individuals on this site. Many opinions about recent times and moving forward it would seem people are doing what is right for there clubs, i applaud this. I was lucky enough to see many games in the combined comp is season 2010 and feel it was simply outstanding. Well done to the Eagles and Kangaroos for there efforts to remain in g6, having seen some of your games your entry two years ago really created a massive amount of interest in the g6 comp. Its exciting at the prospect for 2011, my only drama will be as to which ground i go to each week as the footy will be great each and every week. Lots of rumours or as it has been put trumours, i am sure each and every club will be working hard in the coming weeks, to ready themselves for what will be a thrilling year, and the envy of every other area. Memo to my wife, dont expect to see much of me in the coming winter, i cant wait!!!!!!!! |
