I thought most of the Bundy boys would go back to Easts 1st grade? Plenty of clubs would be keen on a few of the players.

So far we have (possibly):

Narellan - Todd Tasker

Camden - Lee Baxter

Any more signings??? :letmesee:

It has been a while since I have posted something on the forum so I was wondering any confirmed signings for this season?

I saw in an earlier post that only one signing is on here and that is of Todd Tasker for Narellan. Hasanyone else got anymore info as it seems a bit to quiet when most deals would have been done before Christmas.

The web of steel (when it was on line) was great for this for the Illawarra comp, I can't see why this forum can't be the same.
Not all clubs would have their playing rosters confirmed before xmas. I bet most clubs would have only had a light training run and BBQ prior to xmas.

Web of steel was a good website but shutdown due to no financial support to keep it going, its similar to this website which requires secondary funding to keep it online.

Thanks Disco Stu, I assume with the Mossy jersey as your avatar you support the Dragons, have they had any new players sign or have they resigned the bulk or all of their blokes from last year? As they had a few imports and a few old boys come back.

I am sure a fair few people who view this forum have links to clubs in the Group 6 or Wests competitions. There was talk Drew Dalton and his brother are aligned with the Kangaroos, is this still the case? That would add to the list. :correct:

Is there a way you can donate to ensure that this forum stays financially viable? I would hate to see this go the way of the Web of Steel, which was a great source of tracking player signings and match reports. :agree:

I support moss vale and was over the moon when they won the premiership last year, a long time between drinks 20 years since they won it last. Willie McDonlad is again captain coach and the dragons have retained the bulk of last years squad which is pleasing.

PM or email Galahs , the sites admin about donations. :correct:

Thanks Disco Stu, Good info, thats what I'm looking for. I want to make sure I get around to a fair few games this year after work stopped me from only seeing the semis and g/f, Good to know what players are still floating around. :correct:

Any more info from anyone? :letmesee:

Apart from what I have just read on the Wests forum does anyone know of the Macarthur Bulls setup? Have they been excepted into Group 6? Are they going to play in similar jerseys to the ones that the police team of the same name play in? All info is good info.

Allgood thanks for clearing that up for me.

At the end of the day these are the things you need to know before you vote either way.

After the hincinbrook incident we have to very weary as we lost a few sponsors and nearly left the group!! Our future depends on having a good season on and OFF the field.

Your intentions seem fantastic and if all clubs treat thirds this way it could be a very good year!!

Totally agree Highlander - we played Hinchinbrook last year at Milton and they were a bunch of grubs we were lucky enough to handle ourselves on the field and shut a few mouths before it got ugly off the field but to our guys credit we stopped play and advised Hinchinbrook to pull thier heads in or we would walk - game finished about 60 blot and was not enjoyable at all - hence why some of the older guys i have with me dont want a bar of wests comp it is do-do like those incidents we dont want or need - we plan on having familys with kids at our games with the clubs sponsors just a plug here ( ALL FOR FUN JUMPING CASTLES) providing a castle to keep the kids happy and rot off field wont be tolorated or spoil the kids day out, to achieve the atmoshere we are after my club had no option but to approach Group 6 were we can play in safe well run comp and provide all our members and families with a fun day of footy that all our competitors as well will enjoy when coming to play us - we are planning on forming some good relationships with all clubs this year and form some new friendships along the way and enjoy some post game beers/soft drinks with our competing teams we play - i can gaurentee any team we visit will be more than happy to have us back and vise versa - looking forward to the season ahead.
With an attitude like that, you will be welcomed into the Group 6 Competition with open arms, this is what Rugby League should be about, competitive football with good spirits after the game, you have been around the West Comp over many years like myself, the things we have seen and dealt with has put us in this position of playing Group 6, the game is in a sad state locally when you go and play the game Sunday and you have to get your kids baby sat because you fear what might happen at the game! I have seen a player (repeat offender) run 10 meters to king hit one of our players from behind, video evidance presented at the judicary only to see him get 2 weeks, the player that was hit, very talented by the way, refuses to play in the West comp ever again! I don't blame him or others for wanting to play in a good descipline club and competition, Thats what Group 6 is all about!

Being an official, how good are all the clubs to each other, I have formed some great relationships with officials from all clubs and it's much better dealing with the spineless officials from the other side that back stab and have no thought with the progression of the game. Thank you Group 6, we look forward to a long and prosporus relationship!

Hey who is the early favourite/s for the 1st grade comp? For me its Moss-Vale, Picton and the Eagles and for a smokey i will throw in Mittagong, what do you think?

Id say Mossy would deserve favourites tag but id be keen to see Easts this year i think they will be a major force and my smokey would be Narellan or Mittagong with also City to be a force as well and better last years results and no doubt Thirlmere and Picton will be strong yet again.

In the 3 rd grade/2 division id say Appin favourites again with Warragamba/Easts and Bowral will be the smokey that will surprise all this year.

It will be interesting in the lower grades, will be some cracking games in all grades, but i think we should not forget Oakdale, how strong were they in 2010, and best of all it only 84 more sleeps to kick off proper.

You are right Maverick, It was a disgusting scene witnessed by all and I could only imagine what his family felt like when they seen this player run to attack him from behind, thankfully our player could handle himself ok and did so, but this is one of many ugly incidents that I wish not to be part of, it depends what club you are from on what action will be taken!

Warrior 78, I was going to tell you to stick to the West Forum but after discussing your situation with a Senior Committee member from your club, I understand why you are here, another club that nominated teams for 2011 and you don't even have a coach, what's going on there, maybe we can use your ground for Sundays, you won't need it, lol
