Yeah it did get a little dark. To be honest we played at the same time a fortnight before and had no problem, if we are going to continue with the saturday arvo i think we will be using some mobile towers until our lights go in |

Anyone got some info on the weekends games? Im a little suprised at Camden getting done 3 weeks in a row. I heard that Picton centre Mark Brassington has quit, any truth there? I thought Mossy were on the return, but 46-0? What happened? |

Has anyone heard of the rule that you have to be 16 and 9 months to play 3rd grade. |

Spuds peel off all-important win http://www.southernhighlandnews.com.au/news/local/sport/rugby-league/spuds-peel-off-allimportant-win/2171270.aspx By Lauren Wright ![]() Matthew Rolles charges through Bowrals defence. Photo by Lauren Wright ROBERTSON broke their second grade losing streak, but for Bowral they were left to ponder another disappointing performance. It was a local derby full of feeling on Saturday, but the Spuddies got the last laugh in a 22-14 victory.Bowral skipper Adam Sargood was less than pleased with the discipline his team showed. "They wanted it a lot more than we did. Our attitude wasn't right. They took the whole show," he said. The Blues opened the scoring a few minutes into the first half and held a 10-6 lead just before halftime. But they were unable to maintain their intensity and it fell apart. "There's no excuses" Sargood said. Robertson coach Craig Pemberton said his team performed much better than in recent weeks and picked themselves up after trailing in the first half. "It was a better performance. We had players back from injury, a full bench and a full contingent at training on Tuesday and Friday," he said. Arron Ditton stole the show for Robertson, scoring a total of 18 points. Pemberton said Scott Shepherd and Jesse Mauger played well and hoped they could keep up the intensity in their next few matches. "Everything went to plan. All the boys chipped in and did their bit," he said. While the Spuds were committed, Sargood said there were a number of players for Bowral who needed to step up.Dominic Pringle was sent off (for head butting) at a crucial moment in the game, where Sargood said Bowral were starting to get back on top of Robertson. It was the third time in three weeks Bowral have had a player sent from the field and Sargood said it just wasn't good enough. "Our discipline's still not good. We threw it away," he said. Sargood said they needed all the team to show up to training this week and he believed they could be a real force in the competition if they got their act together. He said the few players who lacked discipline and commitment were "letting everybody down". "Hopefully it was just an off day. Good luck to Robertson, they were a well drilled side," he said. |

Lions find fighting fire http://www.southernhighlandnews.com.au/news/local/sport/rugby-league/lions-find-fighting-fire/2171286.aspx By Lauren Wright AFTER a week of controversy, Mittagong's first grade Lions found their fighting spirit to beat Narellan Jets convincingly 50-12 .The Lions opened the scoring yesterday at Mittagong in the first and never looked back. The Blackshaw brothers, Erin and Zak, were unstoppable near the try line and Mittagong's defence was constantly up in the face of Narellan's attackers.A number of penalties against the Jets quickly found them on the wrong side of the scoreboard and they went into halftime down 28-4.Mittagong kept up the enthusiasm early in the second half but dropped away a little in the last 20 minutes of their third win for 2011.While Narellan attempted a late comeback, they were hampered by the sin binning of two of their Jets and Mittagong's scrambled defence on their goal line. Lions' skipper Ryan Powell said it was great to get a win after a few close losses but there was still room for improvement. "[The] first half and the first 10 [minutes] of the second half was pretty pleasing. Everyone worked for each other and ball control was good," he said. "We let it slip late in the game." Powell said the enthusiasm he has been looking for the last few weeks was evident today as the Lions scrambled to defend their line with everything they had. "I think our enthusiasm was [there]. They had some ball on our line and we defended really well. We scrambled really well which tells you enthusiasm [is] there." The only downside to the Lions win was the last 20 minutes where they slipped. Powell said the game was won in the first 30 minutes and wanted the team to keep their intensity until the last minute of the match. "I think we won the game probably in the first 30 minutes but we can't switch off in the second half," he said. "I know we were winning quite convincingly so it's hard to keep their heads on, but you'd like to think if it was a tougher game we'd stay more switched on for that last 20 minutes." Powell said Zak Blackshaw was the standout, but everyone in the team contributed to the win. "He's going from strength to strength. I don't think he knows how good he is, but everyone did their job today and in those bits we were playing well. "There wasn't any standouts, everyone did their job right from the front row to the fullback. That's pleasing," he said. "We scored plenty of points, we only held them to 12, so you've got to be pretty happy with that." |

Did anyone see The Oaks and Kangaroos game? Tigers hav gone back 2 back, i wanted to see it, cos a mates son has come out from Mounties to play for The Oaks, but stayed at Camden after another great win by the Rams 18's. Great day at Kirkham, Old boys day, i think there were a few old boys that wouldn't even remember the result. |

Watched 2 games this weekend on Saturday at Oakdale and Sunday at onslow oval. The top of the table clash was a beauty with niether team giving an inch. The two teams were very evenly matched with the two long range tries to the speedy winger proving the difference. The workers seemed to take a few poor options in attack at crucial times, but credit to easts defence, their linespeed was exceptional. A great contest that was seesawing and could have gone either way. The Oaks had a convincing win over city on Sunday. With quite a few new faces in their lineup, the tigers overwhelmed the roos with their second phase play and size. The game itself never reached any great heights, but the oaks showed that they will be a dangerous team for anyone this season. |

I am guessing that would depend on each player and how far the rep side gets. The rep games start Saturday, and does any body know until when they go? I "assume" that if they are knocked out Saturday that would still give them the option to play club on Sunday if they are up to it. |
