they main thing the group needs to look at and this will be my only feedback on the tiny town issue cause i love the forum and respect teh mods requests is how a 40 point player that played 20s last year can be registed in 2nd div and not a shot at tiny town here but more the group cuase what they should be doing is saying hang on cobba you wanna play g6 at your a 40 point player and played reps the previous year then here are a list of our 1st grade clubs and surely 1 would love to take you in i really belive the group needs to look at that at least cause from what im told this young bloke is killing it and teh major difference in alot of games the tiny town are romping in thats all i say about chapter closed and i remember highlander mentioned teh same point some time ago after the 2 nd div 9s earlier in the year

At the end of the day no one really cares about who plays here or who plays there in 3rd grade if you wanna brag about 40 point wins then step up and play the big boys in reggies and 1st grade because winning in 3rd grade by that much doesn't really show the talented side u have when playing against guys playing for the love of the game .... at the end of the day how good are the campbelltown eagles going in both grades.... looks like a big year for them |

Yeh, things are going good at the club, Coaching staff working together, and if you look at the way the players play, they want to win for the club, plenty of spirit and determination, the best thing, every week we are seeing great games of Rugby League in all grades which makes the move and fight all worth it, the sad thing is there is supporters and Campbelltown missing this because of the JL, I was contacted by Media yesterday and a Action group has been formed "Fly the Eagles Home" well done to those locals that are supporting our club!

Picton power past Rams BY SEAN CUNNINGHAM http://www.wollondillyadvertiser.com.au/news/local/sport/rugby-league/picton-power-past-rams/2173458.aspx PICTON bounced back to winning form with a 28-22 win over Camden in their Group 6 first grade rugby league game on Sunday. The victory pleased Picton coach Mat Davies, who had been informed two of his star players look likely to miss the rest of the season. Halfback Bryce Poisel (shoulder) and centre Mark Brasington (knee) are the two injured players. Trailing 10-6 at the break, Picton overpowered the Rams in the second half. "What I said at half-time was we're behind on the scoreboard but we're winning the arm wrestle," Davies said. "I told the boys we just had to stick to our guns in the second half. "The stuff we've been working on in training, now we're starting to execute that. "It was a good morale boost for the team." Best for the Magpies were Matt Eckler, Chris Young and Mick Brasington. ![]() Watch out: A Picton player (in black/white) tries to shrug off a tackle on Sunday. Picture: Sean Cunningham Meantime, Oakdale lost their first game at home while under the guidance of coach Brendon Reeves, going down 24-18 against Campbelltown Eagles. Oakdale's defence repelled wave after wave of the Eagles attack, but they eventually crossed Oakdale's try line just two minutes before the break with a John Da Silva try. Oakdale came out all guns blazing in the opening minutes of the second half and replied with a try when Todd Pes put Ron Jones in the clear. But the fitter and faster Eagles players outlasted the Workers in the second half to record a victory. "We wanted to play a certain way with quick play-the-balls, but we didn't do it," Reeves said. "They were a bit too smart for us, we've still got a long way to go. "Our defence was great in the first half — they could've put 30 or 40 points on us but we hung tough." Oakdale's tries went to Ron Jones, Nick Crouch and Glynn Bester. ![]() Hey ref: Oakdale's Sam Conlon appeals to an official on Saturday. Picture: Sean Cunningham |

Moss Vale and Narellan both continue their slide into 2011 oblivion with both teams losing games on the weekend. This virtually ends any chance for either team to reach the semi finals, not that they have a real chance - going on form and results. The Jets slaughtered a 34-nil lead against the Kangaroos to manage a draw two weeks ago, then went to sleep against The Oaks and lost 44-24. This weekend they were beaten comprehensively by Mittagong 50-12. The Oaks, with ex-Qld Cup player Joshua Bishop leading the way, ran amok against Narellan and then put the cleaners through the Kangaroos to the tune of 42-24 to be only one win out of the top five. Moss Vale have enjoyed basking over summer in their 2010 premiership glory and have forgotten that other clubs are out to prove themselves worthy of the honour this year, though injuries have been their excuse rather than complacency. If they have any chance of repeating last year's success they need to urgently string together more wins than losses, not an easy task when other clubs have proved their mettle so far. This weekend Thirlmere ran away 46 to nil winners over Mossy, who haven't seen such dire times for a few years, since re-building a team that eventually got them a premiership. Let's hope that they don't have to start all over again, but both the Jets and Dragons haven't won a game in either firsts or reserve grades this year. That will end next weekend when they both meet each other, so one club will end up with the dreaded wooden spoon tag. Camden suffered their third straight loss of the season, going down to the Kangaroos last week and to Picton yesterday in a close match by 28-22. Jumping out of the stalls early in the season has allowed other clubs to gauge the Rams strengths and weaknesses. With a string of ex-Cabramatta Bundy Cup and AGrade players in their squad and in key management positions - the Rams have now slipped from equal first to fifth spot in the space of three weekends, with a tough job up against the Eagles next weekend making the task even harder to get back in the winner's circle. The clash of the round this weekend was Oakdale up against Campbelltown Eagles. The Eagles prevailed and won 24-18, ensuring the Eagles maintain favouritism and remain unbeaten this season. As injuries start to play havoc with team selections the Eagles have an abundance of backup support in their reserves and third grade squads to cover any position. Oakdale have always been tough but haven't gone onto to premiership glory since the 1990s, but their close defeat will certainly give them confidence when the big end of season games roll on. Good coverage from Billy Boots (The District Reporter) |

'Roos website updated for Round 8: http://www.sportingpulse.com/club_info.cgi?c=7-2396-114664-161952-0&sID=212280 Struggled against the Tigers on Sunday- big forward pack led by two ex- Bundy props and a slick backline with Jason Sampson, ex- Q Cup strike centre Josh Bishop and Bundy Cup strike centre Wayne Dargan from Mounties. Will be tough to beat in Round 2 with that team. Edited by Orana87, May 25 2011, 12:36 PM.

Am i reading that right? As an ex cabra boy and Camden supporter we copped a bit of flak last year for importing our side. The Oaks have done the same this year, but with 40 point players. Dargan, Bishop, Engelen, Apolo, Toa, Owen, there's 240 points. Have we all missed something here? |

The Campbelltown City Kangaroos regrets to inform of the passing of Life Member and current Juniors Club President Robert 'Bobby' Cullen. Starting as a member of the 1974 and 1975 Kangaroos Reserve Grade premiership winning teams, Bobby has been a 'Roo thru and thru ever since. Bob is the longest serving chairman of the Campbelltown City club, being President from 1998- 2011. He will be remembered for the selfless dedication that he, alongside his wife Narelle, gave to both the Kangaroo Rugby League club and Raiders Softball club. All teams will be wearing black armbands for the game against Picton this weekend, as a mark of respect to Bobby, Narelle and the Cullen family. The deepest sympathies, thoughts and prayers of the Campbelltown City Kangaroos family are today with Narelle Cullen and the Cullen family. Funeral details will be posted on the website in the next few days. |

TC I just watched the game on DVD and there was a disallowed try scored by Mazeen which Eagles were celebrating which would have made it 18-12 and is where I made my error.

Blue devil no one is bragging about the 40point player all we did is tried to use the forum to get pushed up one grade that's all but didn't work we ain't a first grade side but in saying that I think we could match it with reggies. That's all we asked and it has started all this do-do about we the champs long way to go boys. Anything can happen long season. |
