At the end of the day no one really cares about who plays here or who plays there in 3rd grade if you wanna brag about 40 point wins then step up and play the big boys in reggies and 1st grade because winning in 3rd grade by that much doesn't really show the talented side u have when playing against guys playing for the love of the game .... at the end of the day how good are the campbelltown eagles going in both grades.... looks like a big year for them
Yeh, things are going good at the club, Coaching staff working together, and if you look at the way the players play, they want to win for the club, plenty of spirit and determination, the best thing, every week we are seeing great games of Rugby League in all grades which makes the move and fight all worth it, the sad thing is there is supporters and Campbelltown missing this because of the JL, I was contacted by Media yesterday and a Action group has been formed "Fly the Eagles Home" well done to those locals that are supporting our club! :winner:
Blue devil no one is bragging about the 40point player all we did is tried to use the forum to get pushed up one grade that's all but didn't work we ain't a first grade side but in saying that I think we could match it with reggies. That's all we asked and it has started all this do-do about we the champs long way to go boys. Anything can happen long season.
Agreed i watched Mitta vs Narellan on sunday and Appin would be a decent reserve grade team!! But i dont think they would have the depth for 1sts this is just my opinion.

Good tough game, played in good spirits.
Maverick, At no stage in the game was the score 18-6. It was locked up at 12 all for a little bit.
TC I just watched the game on DVD and there was a disallowed try scored by Mazeen which Eagles were celebrating which would have made it 18-12 and is where I made my error. :correct:
Haha, yeah forward pass.
It was flat!
The ref was about to give it as you could tell by our celebrations then the touchie called it i'm fairly positive it wasn't forward ...
Yeah but the ref was on your side all day. LOL
our statition done the referee penalties, Oakdale 21 Eagles 10, say no more TC, and the pass was flat!

Eagles 32 - 24 over Camden. Score was 32 - 6 with 12 to go, when a sinbin late in the game saw Eagles down to 12 and a lacklustre Eagles side sucombe to some late easy tries by Camden.

Oakdale 18 defeated Thirlmere 16
I must say, and i think anyone at the ground will agree. Oakdale put in their worst performance since the second half against The Oaks in round 1. Lots of mistakes, and they just got penalised sooo much.
Thirlmere were missing a few, so too were Oakdale, Ron Jones was injured, Jamie Blewitt decided to go to Las Vegas, and Nick Crouch pulled out after sustaining an injury in the group game.
Anyone know who won the spoon battle between Narellan and Mossy?

Finally, Dragons deliver at den

Elliot Esquilant scores a try.

AT last the drought was broken. The Dragons won their first Group 6 match of the season, with a hard fought 24-18 victory over Narellan Jets at Community Oval in Moss Vale yesterday afternoon. It was a tight tussle and a physical match in which the referee's whistle was frequently heard.

Moss Vale threw everything they had at the Jets in a highly physical match, and their determination to secure a win was obvious.A late play by skipper Willie McDonald saved a try on the Dragons' tryline and gave fans renewed hope of a vital victory.

But despite a late push from the Jets, Moss Vale held on to secure a much-needed victory and the two points that came with it.

Another great day of League with 5 grades of footy, As the Reserve Grade Coach I would like to congratulate our boys for a great win, top of the table clash with both sides undefeated, I know its only Reserve Grade but I have a team of fit young men that are really enjoying playing together. Another positive is the crowds, very vocal and got right into the game, well done to the Camden supporters, you got behind your team well.

& where back
now that we cant write about that 2nd div team from a village on the way to the gong that i used to play for
im happy to let it go, dont want to get banned enjoy this forum
all i want to say is that i hope everyone gets to see them play this year to know why sitter robbo rooke etc are up in arms about them
i went to watch em play against me mates sons eagles team at picton on the weekend & left fuming at there antics
they main thing the group needs to look at and this will be my only feedback on the tiny town issue cause i love the forum and respect teh mods requests is how a 40 point player that played 20s last year can be registed in 2nd div and not a shot at tiny town here but more the group cuase what they should be doing is saying hang on cobba you wanna play g6 at your a 40 point player and played reps the previous year then here are a list of our 1st grade clubs and surely 1 would love to take you in i really belive the group needs to look at that at least cause from what im told this young bloke is killing it and teh major difference in alot of games the tiny town are romping in thats all i say about chapter closed and i remember highlander mentioned teh same point some time ago after the 2 nd div 9s earlier in the year
One thing of you did watch that game on the weekend how long did the 40 point player play fo cos you will find he played 35 minutes .
might not be even playing that im told after this week :hey:

Empty nest fury at East Campbelltown
by VERA BERTOLA

http://macarthur-chronicle-campbelltown.whereilive.com.au/news/story/empty-nest-fury-at-east-campbelltown/

Posted Image
WHEN his son was playing with East Campbelltown Eagles Rugby League Club, local resident Henry Spencer liked the convenience of popping across the road to Waminda Oval to watch his games years ago.

Now in his early 70s, Mr Spencer kept up the tradition after his son’s playing days were long over.

He’d round up a couple of mates, pack an esky and head over to the oval on a Sunday afternoon.

But he’s ropeable the Eagles senior teams have been banned from Waminda Oval because they’ve elected to play in the Group 6 competition this season.

The Eagles, Campbelltown City Kangaroos and newly formed Macarthur Bulls were told they could not train and play home games within the Western Suburbs District Junior Rugby League boundaries if they played outside the area.

But Mr Spencer is threatening to go all the way to the top, including writing to Prime Minister Julia Gillard, to get his team back where they belong. “We’ll probably never get to the bottom of this. I don’t know who’s to blame but someone needs to fix it up,” he said. “This is a local disgrace ... I’m going to write letters to the mayor, federal member, minister for sports, NRL and even the Prime Minister,” he added.

Mr Spencer warned other codes, like soccer and AFL, were making inroads into the Macarthur region, and rugby league needed to stop warring and look after its own backyard. Campbelltown Mayor Paul Lake said he would respond to a letter from Mr Spencer but it wasn’t a matter for Campbelltown Council or even Wests juniors.

“The matter is between NSW Rugby League and Country Rugby League. The Eagles want to play in Group 6 and have to abide by the rules ... to play and train within the Group 6 boundaries,” he said.

Eagles spokesman Daniel Draper said he was pleased Mr Spencer had taken up the fight.
