Everyone knows how I know people and they know people, and thier people know people in Camden Council, well them people have told me that Mt Annan have applied to have Jack Nash Oval fenced in, Camden council obviously sees the good of this as it will help against Vandlelism but the positive for Group 6 is it will help another 1st and Reserve Grade club form, add that plus Warragamba, Appin and the MacArthur Bulls as 1st reserve Grade clubs you will be possibly looking at a 14 team competition, and probably the biggest in the state, I wonder if G6 will allow the 2 clubs in talks to go over, I personally think they may have missed the boat,

To say all of the above will have first grade is a big call.

Mt annan only have 18s and plan for reserves and thirds next year

If say the Bulls got the grades up and running where would they play?? It would be hard to share with oakdale with more grades and Oran park i dont think would be ready(thats were ive heard they could go).

Warragamba aswell is 50/50

Could well happen and would be a great boost to CRL and Group 6 competition ,I think Appin will be the only certainty for 1st grade and Macarthur Bulls if Oran Park is ready to go a big chance as well,Dont forget 2 Cambelltown clubs are playing already sharing Camden Showground and working out fine.

I very happy for the Mt Annan club to have a new fence , but that does not mean a First & Reserve grade side will appear......

That's something we tried to do with Campbelltown Council, but doesnt help when they have no vission, of course that will help Mt Annan get a 1st and Reserve Grade team, I see a lot of players from Campbelltown will go there to play for a little bit of pocket money and a decent competition. if you have revenue from a get you can add around $30,000 annually to the running of your seniors, and it gives the next committee an easy platform to work off, if they cannot generate sponsors, look at clubs like Picton, The Oaks, Oakdale Camden etc, teh ground work has been done and it makes easy work for new committees, look at Mac Saints, Ingleburn RSL, and Collies for example, no fenced in grounds or club houses, makes it hard to consistantly run a senior club if you dont have dedicated people.

I hear a few Mt Annan players have been dealt with by Group 6 for miss behaving, don't know full details as yet but it was outside of footy, but enough where the group has taken action, only if the JL had the same strenght the combined comp would be still together, not letting Collies get away with what they did, the JL shot themselves in the foot with that one, fought to get collies out of it, lost the combined comp, and collies didn't enter a senior team in there own comp, good work on that one JL

You need a bigger fence to stop those grubs vandleising your club house, Some councils have no idea, speaking of no idea, Dad heard that old bloke in the paper for the Eagles had a meeting with Campbelltown Council and the Mayor of the JL, he also heard Today Tonight is running a story in the coming weeks, it's all happening at the Bowling Club, where is Mick Robbo, anyone know, because "Everyday his Shufflin"

LOCAL derby round is back, and Mittagong have geared up for another showdown with Moss Vale on Sunday. The Lions will have the home ground advantage and both club president Dave Elliot and first grade skipper Ryan Powell said they were keen to get a win on their home turf.Mittagong currently sit fifth on the ladder while Moss Vale sit in ninth position. The Lions have revived themselves this season and look set to make the top four and possibly even challenge for the premiership title.

On the other side of the coin, Moss Vale suffered a premiership hangover, which they have failed to recover from and have won only one game this season. While they have continued to struggle each week, it appears the club have run out of answers.

Tim Small was their leading point scorer in Group 6's first round with 28 points, followed by Dan Drewe (22 points) and Andrew Jamieson (18 points). For Mittagong, Ryan Borg has been outstanding and racked up three tries and 20 goals to amass 52 points.Skipper Ryan Powell has also led the way with 28 points, and Zak Blackshaw has scored 36 points.Moss Vale have scored a total of 130 points this season, but the dominant Lions have more than doubled that with 264 points.

The Lions have had 189 points scored against them, while 279 points have been scored against the Dragons. Both teams will be looking forward to the match, and Elliot said the club expected a good crowd.

Powell said Moss Vale were still a dangerous side and the Lions would need to remain switched on to win.

The under-18 Lions kick off at Mittagong Sportsground at 10.30am, followed by reserve grade at 1pm and first grade at 2.30pm.
