A LATE try to Tom Keft in the dying minutes of the match sealed a 26-26 draw between Robertson and Bowral in Sunday's second grade match.Bowral dominated for the first 60 minutes at Robertson, but poor discipline and silly mistakes cost them the win.

"The game was there to be won. It's a bit disappointing, we needed to win," Bowral skipper Adam Sargood said.

"For 50-60 minutes we played some really good football. The positives are there."

Sargood said mistakes at crucial times late in the match made it difficult for the Blues to maintain the pressure.

"The game got away. We didn't control the ball and we paid the price," he said.

Robertson trailed 16-6 at halftime, before the Spuds hit back and a try to Matt Hammod locked the scores at 16-16.Spuds' coach Craig Pemberton said even when his team were down heading into the last two minutes, he continued to believed they could win the match.
"I thought they were still in it. They looked fit, they stood up and completed [their sets]," he said.
Riddled with injuries, Pemberton said a number of under-18 players stood up and put in a good performance.

With skipper Doug Tilly away, Pemberton said Tom Keft stood up and had a good game at hooker.

Sargood said Bowral needed to keep improving and if they could play for the full 70 minutes they would start to win games.

"We can dominate for 50-60 minutes but that won't win games," he said.

"We will win if we play for 70 minutes [and] calm our discipline. The players need to worry about what we're doing," he said

Robertson face Campbelltown Eagles this Sunday, while Bowral will take on The Oaks. Both matches will be played at Loseby Park .

Dad just told me about 7 players from Mt Annan under 18's that copped a 12 month ban for misbehaving at McDonalds on the way home from a game, the club also received a $1000 fine for these actions, well done to the mangement of Group 6, if only the JL acted in the same interest of the game, collies would of been dealt with and the Combined comp would still be on!

All I'm getting at Stu, the combined comp was the best thing for Campbelltown Footy, maybe not group 6, but with the right organization it could of worked! And everyone could of been as happy as BD

Exciting weekend ahead. I think just about all games except Narellan v Picton can go either way.
Although they do say, for every loss you have, you are closer to a win....... but i'm not seeing any good signs for the jetters.

Camden by 2

Everyone knows how I know people and they know people, and thier people know people in Camden Council, well them people have told me that Mt Annan have applied to have Jack Nash Oval fenced in, Camden council obviously sees the good of this as it will help against Vandlelism but the positive for Group 6 is it will help another 1st and Reserve Grade club form, add that plus Warragamba, Appin and the MacArthur Bulls as 1st reserve Grade clubs you will be possibly looking at a 14 team competition, and probably the biggest in the state, I wonder if G6 will allow the 2 clubs in talks to go over, I personally think they may have missed the boat,
WHO ARE THE CLUBS YOU TALKING ABOUT
I hear wests are going to pay player registrations for all their senior teams next season in the hope of getting more teams..and are offering clubs incentives to join their comp..does anyone know more?
didint they do that for bulldogs already this year what will appin go to the west comp next year doggie girl if you cant get a 1st grade together :dunno:
our club pays our regos we got some good sponsors :correct: most g6 clubs would be the same i reckon
why would Appin go to wests I was just saying what I heard & asking if any one else heard the sam
lol Im sure Appin will try their best for 1st grade, reserve grade and under 18s ...has anyone noticed the fourty point player has not played last 3 or 4 games..even though he is allowed to play with Appin...I heard on the forum he went to Narrellan....can someone confirm that..
has he gone awol without leave doggiesgirl for a guy you pinned your clubs future hopes on for sponsors and recruitment he must be injured to not play surely he just doesnt dissapear without your club knowing after all the pleading you did to have him i hope he doesnt let you guys down :finger:

I can understand why you like it that way, I've seen some great games of footy this year between all Grades from 18's up to 1st, I find it hard to see this so called take over the Fatcat and his crew are trying to do when Group 6 seems to be so united!

Checking on the Camden Showground today, looks all good for a great clash of the 2 CAMPBELLTOWN sides, its local darby round so should see some great crowds on hand, my tips

Eagles to beat City by 8
Oakdale to beat Oaks by 16
Picton to draw with Thirlmere
Camden to beat Narellan by 18
and Mittagong to beat Mossy by 10

Should be a great weeknd of footy
Eagles to come from behind and get up by 4
Oakdale and Oaks....... always a brutal encounter
Picton will have new recruit Nick Taylor playing, this will be the best out of the local derby's. I'll go Picton by 1.
Camden to find that winning feeling again after 5 straight losses
Mossy are now the under dogs against Mitta..... After winning the comp last year, weird competition. Mitta by 10

Who are city's 2 signings????
i heard that the signings for city are frank puletua and micheal withers

What a great round for Group 6, just gets better, the entire round played and all game results within 8 points, went down to the local Victoria park, with the old man and watched the jetters, They played with plenty of spirit and Picton made a few errors, but I can see it won't be long before they win one! Keep trying fellahs,

Oakdale and Mittagong played out a thrilling Draw.
Oakdale ended up decimated and had no reserves left and had Ben Fryer running around on one leg for the final 20 minutes.
Oakdale were leading 20-6 at this point.
Good to see Thirlmere knock off Easts, does anyone know if Peter Jensen played for Thirlmere? I do believe he has signed.
