Highlander, after playing there a few years ago, the ground was an eyesore, so glad they have spent some money as it was terrible, it was harder than Eaglevale's home ground.

Catherine Field would be a good alternative then, if UWS is classed in the Wests comp, I thought it would be borderline.

I can confirm use of UWS would be fantastic for the group as it brings in class facilities and i can say UWS would be happy to lease the grounds out BUT they can't ATM can't really say much more.

Catherine Fields would be a good option as would Douglas park thats another area close to the ctown region

Hey, tell me if this is a good idea or not?

I'd like to have the Group 6 and Wests JRL Competition ladders kept up-to-date on this forum.
So if possible I'd like to get a volunteer/s who would be willing to do this.

I think this forum could really be used for the better good of Rugby League in the Macarthur / Southern Highlands districts. A one stop shop that covers local footy from NRL -> juniors
I just need a few helpers to make it happen.

Bowral RLFC would like to announce a few developments they have upcoming

The club will be restorating the Jim "DOC" Mclean Memorial clubhouse sign. Waratah Signs are in the process of desinging a new one that will represent Bowrals greatest ever clubman!!

Bowral Vice president Adam Sargood said the sign was the first of many jobs the club will under take on the clubhouse doing the sign first "out of Respect" for the Mclean family. The club is also looking into building a scoreboard in the clubhouse aswell (Council and Gayfl removed the old one) So to be exclusive to Rugby league and to prevent vandalism.
Also at home games and trials this year we will be running a raffle and seeking any donations for the Glen Sargood family. Glen is the brother of our vice President and was the manager of the Under 6s last season with our jnr club.Glen was diagnosed with Motor Neaurone disease which has no cure and life expectancy is not good. we are looking at a raffle to assist his family. The club would appreciate the support from our fellow clubs during the season in this trying time for them.

Thanks

Highlander my club will help out with the raffle and buy as many tickets as we can, i actual went to HS with Glen's wife and have heard of his plight - might be able to get our sponsor to send down a jumping castle at one of your home games and any funds made from the use can go towards the Sargood family - ill pass on my contacts if you like and we can see what can be arranged to help out.
Thank Rooke
From what i undersand there doing it hard ATM. I know the community already has been superb in getting behind them and where just trying to do our bit for Adsy's brother.

Im sure any assiatance would be great :correct:

Rooke, have you guys set up a website as yet as that would be a great way for potential sponsors to see what your club is about and give them a bit of background on the area the Bulls hope to look after. Also it will be a selling point to show them where the Bulls will advertise their business, not just at the games. Teams like Moss Vale, Camden, Narellan and Bowral has done this well on their Sporting Pulse pages, all clubs should be updating their info. :correct:

i have hard the draw is out for 3 grade & that it is a 8 team comp, can anyone confirm.
if true then group 6 3 grade will probably be a bigger comp than the west 1st & reserves
combined.

Highlander, I think Lovin footy is talking about the Blue Devil coming out of retirement.

Lovin Footy, The rumour about Sherwin has been around for weeks. Hes back from the UK but doesnt want to play pro anymore. The mail is Camden or St Christophers at revesby. Although, I was in canberra last week and from talking to a mate down there dont be surprised if Aaron Gorrell who Captain/coaches the Quenbeyan roos makes a late play for him in the next two weeks.

Again its only a rumour until you see him on the paddock.
