Hi all. It would seem that I overlooked the fickleness of some people. The the videos I put up on U tube were put there to enhance and promote the game but it seems that the last few weeks the hecklers have been using them to try to antagonise players during the games. I would like it known that all video content was selected by myself and no player or coaching staff had any input into what I put up. I do not want players being heckled on my account so I will no longer post the clips and hope that this is the end of the matter. I am sorry for any inconvenience this has caused any players.

Some surprise results keep happening on a weekly basis. A great effort from Mossy to defeat top of the table eagles. It would be easy for mossy to put the fiddle in the case for 2011, but credit to them they have taken some big scalps of late. Is Sam Hoare due back? I think he is being missed by ctown at the moment.. Went out to thirlmere to watch the Mittagong game. Pretty good game, roosters seemed to dominate for most of the match, however the young lions hung in there and almost came back to snatch a draw. Conversion from Powell out wide on fulltime was wide. Thirmere now in 3rd spot and boasting easily the most experienced team in the comp, with the like of rae bros, carylon, jensen, dynevor, sheppard, mears.

Switching codes

FEARING they are being "shafted" by Illawarra District Rugby Union, the Bundanoon Highlanders look set to switch codes to play rugby league in 2012.Club president Markus Fenwick said he had held serious talks with Group 6 president Grahame Andrews and would be recommending to his club that they make the switch to rugby union's traditional sporting enemy.

Bundanoon has not had a league team in nearly 30 years, but Fenwick said the club was being "pushed out" by Illawarra Rugby. The one-team club, which has played third grade rugby for the past few seasons, was forced to play second grade this year after Bowral entered three grades and Wollondilly pulled out of second grade.

Fenwick said the club had had only two home games this season and had to face another second grade team filled with first graders against the Tech-Tahs on Saturday. They lost 47-17 and Fenwick said the Tahs president admitted the team fielded several first graders in the game.

"We stuck our hand up (to play second grade) and got shafted," Fenwick said.

"We want to do something to keep the guys in Bundanoon active."

He said Illawarra Rugby let Bowral field three teams even though the club struggled for numbers during the season.

Group 6 president Grahame Andrews said he was "very enthusiastic" about the prospect of Bundanoon playing alongside Bowral and Robertson in the second tier, third grade competition and wanted to encourage clubs such as Appin and Warragamba to do the same. He said a third grade team from Bargo was another possibility.

"I've been working overtime on this and it's entirely up to Markus," he said.

"Bundanoon is historically a league team. We have had formal, lengthy meetings on it."

He said there would be no problem with the Highlanders retaining their blue and white uniform and he was "delighted" with Fenwick's attitude.

Adding to this the bundanoon would make the transition to league easily as most of the players are ex league players anyway as well as the administration of the club also. Little if any of the players are true rugby players which come thru the local school system of oxley & chevalier college and the junior blacks, the current players there have mainly played with Bowral & Moss Vale in past seasons.

So was the heckling on field by opposing players, or from supporters ,or both??

Another great day of Footy and it makes it enjoyable to go to Sunday Games, So pleased with my Reserve Grade team, down on numbers and still played a good first half of Football the laid the foundations for the win. Second half we went a bit scrappy but we tried to score off every play. The 1 punch rule was also use and it was one of our guys, softest worst effort for a punch ever but the rule applied, I had the ref apologizing to me for having to send the player, but I commended the ref for doing so as it shows the guys 1 punch and your gone! The games are played in good hard footy and that will keep the families coming back to watch the footy, I finally feel safe to take my kids to senior footy!

I played vs bundy in 197?? Something
down there next to the pool
be great to start seeing all the g6 villages putting teams in
I still reckon appin 2nd div will reform at Wilton or Douglas park
I reckon Douglas park would get right behind a footy club in g6

I feel that any more teems in the southern highlands be it in any grade would only increase the pressure on clubs trying to field sides in the first and reserve grade competition. Unfortunately alot of good quality reserve grade players tend to head off to third grade sides far to early to play with their mates and where they dont have to train as hard. It is very hard to attract these players back once they go.

I heard today that Warragamba 18'b have been playing a over aged player for some time
so group six stripped 14 points of them. These were undefeated and top of the table now slipping back to
third position. When will the group insist on using id cards as this is always so open
to this happening.I know of this happening on numerous occasions this year.

Reg Ragen was playing for the Cessnock Goannas under 18's when he was 26, Dad says it comes down to administration of the individual clubs, they have ID cards in the West comp and it has happened there! If people want to cheat they will, but they eventually will get caught!

BD, i just read the Moss Vale match report and it mentioned that Dragons Centre Josh Champion was sent off (I believe it is his 2nd send off this year), what was he sent for? did Moss Vale beat you guys with 12? or did you guys have 1 sent as well?
Every Moss Vale match report i read mentions how much they are penalised...... I don't think it would have anything to do with supporters abusing the referee from the opening whistle would it?

Hi TC, looking forward to this week, The Moss Vale player was sent for a head butt I think, i didnt really see it one of those penalties that happened in the ruck, we also had a guy sent and that was for lashing out and again it was in the ruck, I think our guy was milking a penalty and it didnt go that way he wanted.
There supporters really get into the game that gives it a good atmosphere and a bit of heckling a ref never hurt, just dont go over the top!

Yeah looking forward to this weekend, 24-18 to you guys last time, and was a tense game.
Should draw a big crowd, because it deserves a big crowd, our 2 sides are 6 points clear of 3rd place, it's a credit to you guys how well run you are.
