After all the do-do in the last thread and the constant bagging and fighting and lack of actual footy talk it has been decided that the old thread would be closed and this new one opened up with new guidelines on posting...

If you don't agree to the new guidelines on posting in this thread i suggest you don't post as you will find yourself having an extended rest from the forums....

POSTING RULES

* Any postings in the thread Bagging the competition or competition organisers will be deleted and will occur a forum ban.
* All Discussion re: City, East & Bulls will be deleted and occur a forum ban.
* Keep the discussion friendly, with no aggressive stuff. (Banter is fine) but any back and forth arguing will occur a forum ban.

Its unfortunate that it has come to this but the reason for the lack of updates by people in the wests comp is because they are sick of the do-do being dished out by certain people here. so we are trying to get back to talking about footy and thats it.

Did Ingleburn finish the game? and if not what was the reason? Lack of players through injury or ?
Were the WT side that good? I was told the balance of the WT side is whats left of the Warriors side. Can somebody that was there confirm this and or give us a match report.

From what i was told, RSL only had around 12 players to start and got a few injuries and the game was stopped due to lack of players...

My understanding is there are issues with their Reggies side not wanting to play 1sts, so they couldnt call players up.

Havent heard much about the Tigers side, will try and find out something today...

Whats the go with this new rule that the reserves cant back up for 1sts. I thought that was what a reserve grade was there for. This could make sides short, if players dont turn up, and not being able to pull up their reserves.

We were told that yesterday at All Saints game. Told 20 for reserves 17 for 1sts and all names for 1sts couldn't come out of the 20 from reserves. I hope I have been misinformed as this seems a strange rule. I was with the All Saints registra and she said she was told the same.

what will happen to rsl now if they cant field a grade each week :dunno: only leaves 5 team agrade if they snatch it :worship: are they allowed to all back to reggies or do thier reggies get forced up into a grade

The Wests Junior League Office is very busy at the moment trying to have all the Wests junior teams (under 6's to under 16's) registration paperwork completed for the juniors start this Saturday. As far as the number of players eligible for each round of games - it's simple - Reserve Grade can have 20 players and A grade 17 fresh players. However, the problem arises when Reserve grade has started their game and and player named in A grade doesn't front, is injured in the warm up or rings the coach with a late withdrawl. The A grade Coach is then forced to ask one of the Reggies to back up - not ideal but no option. All senior teams had problems with Registrations last weekend - asking some players for two passport photos, Id and registration money is almost impossible. One or two weeks on the sidelines will show if they are really interested. It's called committment but sadly not all so called players possess this quality.

That not too difficult All Saints, in fact its better. We basically did the same each week last year. At least you can name a fresh 17 this year and not be forced to pull 2 from reggies each week. But at least the option to pull them up is still there if needed. (which is different to what was told to me yesterday)

What if the reggies are short? can you drop 1 or 2 first graders back and then have them back up for your game?

RSL are just having problems with rego and players cards, the reggies also only had 13 so were too tired to back up. Once the cards arrive and regos go though, then there won't be a problem.
