I have just came back from watching a great entertaining game of football. The All Saints boys came within 10 mins of beating the West Tigers side after being in front 26-24 with 10 mins to go. This game went from end to end for the whole game with All Saints matching everything the Tigers had to throw at them. The final score was 34-26 with the Tiger boys putting on 2 late tries and showing that extra bit of fitness at the end. Well done to the boy's if you can keep playing like this you will upset the other sides this year too. Deservedly so the All Saints boys got a standing ovation from the crowd as they walked off. And for those who said nobody would be watching, the State Cup coach, the NYC coach, the development coach and even John Skandalis himself was at the Tigers bench. |

Great game at ESA also... Titans led 14-4 at half-time and ESA came back to win 20-18, Kicking a conversion from the sideline with 1 min 30 to go... A very tough and physical game of footy. I think Robbo's entire extended family was there to support the Titans... |

The Warriors Wests Tigers (6 tries) v All Saints (5 tries) A grade was a ripper of a game. Maverick's match report is spot on. Wests Tigers led 6-0 then Saints levelled 6-6. Wests Tigers added two tries to lead 18-6. Saints hit back with two tries 18-14 at lemons. Upon resumption Wests Tigers scored to extend lead 24-14. Saints hit back to trail 24-18. Saints scored under the posts to hit the lead 26-24 with 20 minutes on the clock. With 14 to go Wests Tigers scored to lead 30-26. Saints bombed a certain try with two on one. Hi-lite of the game was classic covering tackle by the Saints fullback Sevao Stowers to stop a certain Tigers try - had the screaming crowd on its feet. Wests Tigers scored a late try from a lucky rebound to run out 34-26 winners. The lads from Liverpool will sleep well tonight. |

Mad Tiger - not sure but was told by a Wests offical early in the day that excess Wests State Cup players will now only play with Ingleburn RSL A grade and that only 8 Wests Tigers players were playing with Warriors A grade today. I don't know the Wests Tigers NYC players by name or sight but most of our lads in A grade do and they claimed they were all Wests Tigers bar the skinny winger. Going by the body shapes and ability on display by Warriors all looked like Wests Tigers NYC players bar the skinny winger. Saints could have won the game but fitness hindered our final thrust for victory. Many of the Saints lads were out on their feet in the final 20 minutes but they refused to surrender. |

There was 13 West players and 2 Warriors players (Lance Siataga from wests state cup played) so they are not all u/20s and the NYC Coach was also there. No Fifita or Jeffery this week. |

Maverick - I heard (unofficially) that Ingleburn RSL had possibly 5 Wests State Cup players today but "Burner" may confirm or deny this number. |

it doesnt matter how many Warriors or how many Tigers players there were...it was a great game and a fantastic performance by All Saints who had several players backing up from the Reserve grade themselves, due to injuries.. ps...why does that question need to be asked anyway, don't question such a fabulous game by both sides

I think some are curious of the balance and quality of the team, and it makes all saints efforts in the game more impressive as well. Edited by disco stu, Apr 17 2011, 08:12 PM.

I agree. It was a fantastic game of Rugby League - hard and fast with only one caution on the day. |

What a great game this is. The All Saints boys have been out celebrating a loss tonight and you would think they had just won a grand final.
