Heard about this as well, but to be honest nothing has been said to me about any charges or that the player mentioned was involved....There is no cover up from ESA's end.

It was an 18 year old that threatened the ref but it was the 16 year old that assaulted him, both players are Rep players and I will let you know more when Dad finds out! Both are from your club ESA and I think they are brothers, if not brothers, cousins, there dad is also a church minister!

This was an ugly incident, I really think you should not be making accusations on here regarding players involved in the incident during the Eaglevale game until an investigation is completed as you or your father seem to be getting it mixed up.

At first you said the following

"Just found out more, the player in question, his family was involved in another ugly incident 2 years ago, he is suppose to play N20's on Monday night, this is interesting, can you confirm Mad Tiger? "

now you have posted this

"It was an 18 year old that threatened the ref but it was the 16 year old that assaulted him, both players are Rep players and I will let you know more when Dad finds out! Both are from your club ESA and I think they are brothers, if not brothers, cousins, there dad is also a church minister! "

The under 20's player did not assult the ref. and his family were not involved in any major incident a few years back. We are talking about a player who has a chance of a future in the NRL, so i dont think making acussations about him based on what your dad said is the right thing to do.
Now you are saying the players invloved are both from our club and that the 16yr old hit the ref and their dad is a minister. I think you or your dad are getting 2 different families mixed up. We are asking that nothing more be said about this incident until the investigation is completed by the officials involved.
ESA are not trying to cover anything up, we would just appreciate it if individual junior players were not accussed of something until all the statments and facts have been reviewed.

Who's doing the investigation, we've seen them done in the past, look at Collies last year, I can't believe that investigation destroyed the combined comp

I will reply properly now, I was going for a driving test so done a short reply while waiting for the instructor, so it's obvious that an incident has happened, but you write about the player having the chance of a life time, sorry if it's found that he or anyone has been involved in any form of voilance to an official should not get that opportunity, I never mentioned names, but again if anyone seen doing this should be named and shamed, we need to protect our outstanding referees we have out her in the JL, I have my refereeing ticket and worry about players like this!

You're out of line fence sitter
what does something that happened at school football have to do with the ESA club?
nothing to do with them at all :finger: :finger:
I'm sure your Group 6 paymasters are happy to for you to fuel this incident right up
What's this got to do with school footy or group 6, if an ugly incident happened deal with it and don't broom it under the carpet, I referee a lot of school games but this does turn me off, it's ok to abuse and assult a referee because, wait for it, "it's school footy"

Fencesitter, I agree if any player is found to have been violent towards a referee or an official they should not have an opportunity to play proffessional and they should be named and shamed.
But i dont think because your dad told you information that he seems to believe is fact gives you the right to jump on here and imply who the player or who his family is or what club he comes from considering this was not a club game....yes you didnt mention any names but anybody that read your post would be able to work out who it is.

As much as we all enjoy your juicey bits of info that seems to come from your dad, maybe you should consider what you post on here. As myself being a member of my club for many years, i would never jump on here and share information about JUNIOR players from another club unless i knew it to be factual and not just because my dad knows everything.

And as for who is investigating that is not for our club or any other to comment on as this was a school event and should be looked into by them and any evidence of wrong doing then passed onto the players district club for action....

No worried footy mum, point taken, you actually seem alot like my mum, and I cop many an ear bashing when I step out of line, but there is one thing I hate and thats referee abuse wether it's verbal or physical, I have refereed and it's not easy, I know what you are saying about being a school game but that makes no difference to me, if they do it in a school game they would do it in a weekend game, I do know the ref that was assullted and his young like me, I will take your advice Mum

:) Thanks for that, and i agree totally no referee or official should ever be abused verbally or physically and regardless of weather its a school or club game this makes no difference to the incident. I didnt mean because its a school game its dosnt matter to the club, i just didn't want fingers pointed at an individual player until the facts have come out......

I hope the ref involved is alright and this does not deter him from being a ref, ...... :D

Correct - Saturday Wests Juniors is OFF. Sunday Wests Seniors is ON at this stage pending Friday decision from Council. If Wests Seniors is ON maybe some ground changes. Only one more sleep.
