Dad predicts Mac Bulls to be as strong as Roos and Eagles for 2012, there is a lot of talk from the north end of Wests, All Ssints, Titans and RSL will see alot of talent going to the bulls! I know alot of guys my age talking Bulls and Group 6, and we can understand why! |

i know our club wont take dodo and only players that are willing to grasp the g6 and bulls code of conduct - no ufc style players welcome just the decent ones that want good strong vibrant footy week in week out without the ufc influence |

Dad also heard that Drew Dalton signed this week for 2012 with the Roos, this will be good for the Roos as he is very popular with the young men at the Roos, He also heard they signed some young bloke from Liverpool Titans, I don't know who, wouldn't think there would be too much there to sign! |

Does anyone know if the games that were washed out are being played this weekend or just moving on to the next round?

Round 13 Wests Senior Games will now be played Sunday 31 July. Only 3 rounds to be played before Semi Finals series which begins Sunday 14 August. Just started raining again at Liverpool - hopefully only passing showers. Hillier Oval had a river flowing thru it last Friday. |

Just a quick question for All Saints, the new club down the road from you, "the Liverpool Titans" or the Pirates as some forum goers say, they have a rule put in place for them that they cannot transfer registered players for 2 years, is this correct? I here from a Titans coach it is only one year, is it 1 or 2 years? has this affected your Junior club? your club looked like it was in a growth spurt but i noticed you only have 7 Junior teams, do you have any involvement in your juniors or are you seniors only.

I'm involved with All Saints seniors only but All Saints JRLFC currently has 8 teams from under 6's to under 14's with an under 16's team withdrawing from the competition after about 6 rounds. I'm not sure of the two year rule re Titans. I do know that the players Titans recruited this year had to be new registrations ie. not registered in Wests juniors in 2010 (A grade excepted). From what I hear the Titans entry has effected the junior teams of All Saints, Ashcroft and Valley United but Titans officials to their credit did work hard in the recruitment area and are entitled to enter the competition. I personally wish Titans had been encouraged to base their club in one of the outer newer suburbs (further west of Liverpool) rather than Casula. Liverpool Junior clubs face stiff competition from the Parramatta and Canterbury-Bankstown Junior Leagues especially with Cabramatta, Mounties and Moorebank junior rugby league clubs having the cash backing of licenced premises. LCC also recruit very well, usually 2 teams in each age group, as they are strategically located and the backing of a licenced premises also adds great appeal. |

ESA 18's are due to play Ashcroft at stanwell reserve this week. At this stage we havent been advised otherwise so we hope the boys get some footy. Its never easy to keep a teams motivation up under these circumstances, but to their credit the boys are sticking together and making the best of it. |

Liverpool Titans restrictions on transferring local players in the Juniors was for 2011 only. We are hardly "pirates" and encouraged kids with no background in rugby league - as well as those from the "big" parra clubs to play local. If the Titans being in the area, and advertising heavily (which we will, both in and out of the district) makes the other clubs step up their game, then its all the better for Liverpool Rugby League. Remember it wasn't too long ago that Liverpool had twice the number of teams they do now. |

Easy http://www.liverpoolchampion.com.au/news/local/sport/general/cashels-heart-stays-with-all-saints-liverpool/2238512.aspx ![]() Cashel's heart stays with All Saints Liverpool PAUL HAIGH 27 Jul, 2011 12:00 AM STEADFAST Peter Cashel admits only once was he ever slightly tempted by a rival club to leave his beloved All Saints Liverpool Junior Rugby League Club. "I just couldn't do it," Cashel said. "I love the club; it's been a very big part of my life. "I've been here at All Saints since the under 6s." Cashel, 32, grew up in Chipping Norton and now lives at Horningsea Park. "My heart and soul always has and always will be with All Saints," he said. The club's home ground, Hillier Oval, is like a second home for the A grade team goalkicking lock and the man nicknamed "The Big Show". The moniker was given to him by his mates when they played OzTag. "The guys would say here is the Big Show, the name has stuck with me," Cashel quipped. Cashel and his brother Marty were to All Saints what the Johns brothers — Andrew and Mathew were to the Newcastle Knights. "Marty doesn't play footy any more as he works overseas, but let me tell you he was a very, very good footballer," Cashel said. And he doesn't even think about retirement. He said his body and his mind will let him know when it's time for him to call it a day. Cashel reckons he's played 320 games for the club and said his late father John, and his mother, Maureen, shaped his life and footy. "My mother still comes to watch me play," he said. "My dad taught me many things in life and the importance of enjoying your footy but he said never let it interfere with work." All Saints Liverpool club historian and official Brian Harvey said Cashel is one of the finest people you will meet. "You will never find a more loyal person than Peter," Harvey said. "Peter is one of a kind; he's been an inspiration to the younger players in the A grade and A reserve grade teams and he has also helped with coaching junior teams over the years and he's also been club president." Harvey said club records show Cashel has scored 600 points in A grade comprising 78 tries and 144 goals. Edited by Maverick, Jul 28 2011, 03:57 PM.

Yes Dad said 17 clubs were interviewed for Bundy Cup and the Titans were the only club to go one step further, All Saints wanted to do this a few years ago but couldn't get over the line, this move from Titans will dominate the Liverpool area, it will be the end of All Saints Hinchinbrook and LCC from seniors, the take over of Liverpool will be one!
