I don't think I was bagging the Refs, what I was saying is: if you concentrate on your own team and game the ref, no matter whom shouldn't come into question, comments have been made by people worried about what ref they may get, wether Middleton or Wardy, they are both quality referees, and I say again, Does the man in the middle really matter?

If they were that good, why didnt they join Group 6, would of made a great 11 team competition. but I'll tell you, the week in week out toughness and grinding of Group 6 is a lot harder than people take for granted. easy to qualify in a competition that all you have to do is win 1 game and you are in the semi finals. try winning 9 games to make the top 5 like Mittagong did, sorry Minto would not of made the Group 6 semis on the amount of games they have won this year, just the facts.

What strip will the (Concord Tigers)Warriors as peolpe refer to them as wear in the finals series guys? Will it be Tigers or Warriors? Also can we get a clear clarification on what this teams actual name is please. Pretty sure if ESA get done by them they will feel slighty robbed of a chance at a crack at a title, I mean lets be honest Tigers are a make up team none of these guys had aspirations to play in the local A Grade more forced upon them, I really hope ESA knock them out and common sense previals. Good luck to all clubs. |

ESA will play Campbelltown Warriors in the semi final and they will wear the Warriors playing strip. It was agreed by all Wests clubs including ESA that the Campbelltown Warriors A grade can field up to a maximum 8 players from Wests Tigers NYC squad. You may ask "How was the 8 player limit decided" - the motion was put forward by the ESA club and accepted unanimously by the other Wests clubs. It should be a great game with plenty of talent on display - lets hope the young men from both teams have a great game. Ps. The majority of Wests A grade players look forward to testing their sporting ability against the rising stars from the Wests Tigers NYC squad. The other semi final between Minto and All Saints should also be a great contest. So get down to Worrell Park this Sunday. |

Well said Mitch, good luck to all teams in 18s, Reserves and 1sts. And great work All Saints, you've been a wonderful supporter of the senior grades this season and success in the finals would be well deserved for your club

Concord Tigers did it again, I bumped into my good mate Jake Mullaney, and he told me he signed with Parramatta for 2012, Good work Concord! Another good junior lost, I suppose it's closer to travel to Parramatta than Concord, how many more to the list!!!!!! |

That is great but sad news. Congratulations to young Jake on getting a contract at Parramatta but I have long been asking myself why he cant get a start at the Tigers. I have watched this kid for years playing for ESA ( unfotunately for me he was always on the other side and he usually carved you up.) As a Tigers supporter I am extremely disapointed to see another of our local kids fly the coup to get a start. He could have been something special for the Tigers if they had given him a chance. And realistically the fullback position for the Tigers has been an issue for some time now. Best of luck Jake you join people like Issac DeGois who could not get a look at at the Tigers but have made good of themselves going elswhere.

Reggies results RSL beat ESA 24-14, Minto beat LCC on the buzzer, not really sure of the score. 1st grade ESA beat Warriors, not sure of the score, and Minto best All Saints 34-14, from what I've heard. So that sets up LCC vs RSL, and Titans vs Minto in reggies, and ESA vs All Saints, and Minto vs Titans in 1sts |

Since no mention of the 18's. ESA 18/1's had the weekend off, ESA 18/2's knocked RSL out and now go onto play LCC after they were beat convincingly by Collies. ESA 18/1's will now take on Collies for a spot in the grand final. Would love to see an all ESA Grand Final for the 18's. And congratulations to our A-grade today, looking forward to the games next weekend.... |

So what's ur plans for 2012? Dad was at your 40th Anniversay night going back s few years ago, he said on the night it was dissapointing that the club had changed to what it was, I see you guys advertising for a coach. Do you think Warriors will ever be the great club the it was in the 70's early 80's? You must be sad from the weekends effort! |

Well I have been watching a lot of games this year and happy to point to my 4/4 result in the first week of finals action As predicted it was a wonderful day of Wests Seniors football. Well done to all the clubs, players, officials and the Junior League. The players all went up a gear for the finals and some great footy was played. Edge of the seat stuff in Minto's come from behind win in Reserves. This weekend's games: Reserves: LCC vs INGLEBURN RSL 10am LCC to get over the Burners and win by 10 Reserves: TITANS vs MINTO 11.30am Titans too experienced and well coached. Darcy's boys by 24, time to get the first set of Titans jackets ready I reckon!! A Grade: ALL SAINTS VS ESA 1pm All Saints to win in a tight one by 4, but an ESA win wouldn't surprise. A Grade: TITANS v MINTO 2.30pm Minto to win by 22, too experienced and got a hard nose for finals footy Get there early at Hillier Oval on Sunday, will be another great day of Wests Juniors footy!!! |
