Dad heard at Raby Tavern last night that ESA Reserve Grade and A Grade are headed over to the Bulls next year, this coming from a reliable source that knows the President of ESA, is there any truths in this Mad Tiger or Parra Eels, just asking the question! Fencey my boy your never far off the mark!!! I will be at the Bulls next year, main reasons mate is i live in Camden and training and home games in Camden makes it very easy..And i see a huge future in Bulls..I have no problems with the wests comp in anyway..a FEW of my boys will follow but not whole teams..

But the questions that has to be asked, what is the real reason for leaving, everyone on the forum knows it's been an unhappy season at ESA, have you guys had enough? Was it the competition structure? Was it violance? Was it forfeits or put together teams? What has seen you guys leave

Was it the competition structure? Was it violance? Was it forfeits or put together teams? What has seen you guys leave My main reason is that i moved out of the area and with a young family i dont want to spend half my time travelling to and from training after long days at work.. Alot of people at ESA put in plenty of hard work to get the senior club up and running to a level where it should be, however some people want it to fail and made life difficult and to the point where (and im speaking for myself here) it felt like we were always looking over our shoulder and dealing with knives.. The people who i dealt with on regular occasions at the club were great and would bend over backwards to help you but unfortunatley if not everyone is on the same page then life becomes very very hard...
As for not being popular at ESA, thats one persons opinion, although funnily enough that person is the one who seemed to be not so popular with the senior club. But i dont care for popularity contests anyway...

Im sure we can get that avatar changed from an eagle to a Bull Tiger Parra and a few have done well and ESA hence why he was poached over any support team he worked with would also be welcomed at the Bulls in 2012 after seeing what was achieved at ESA and Bulls being a club on the up are the type of people we are looking for

I don't get on here that much but always a good read. Heres a few things I've heard around the traps in recent- the Junior League are desperately trying to get the combined comp back, they know without ESA and one other club, the game is up and want to try to get something from the wreck before its too late. There is one Campbelltown area club about to front the JL about coming back in seniors but only if allowed to go to g6. My old club didn't have seniors this year but never will again. We volunteer for the kids not bludging blokes who won't train, won't buy raffle tickets but still expect $50 a game. These senior players walk around thinking like there NRL stars. Go to Mounties or something. It would be for the best if the JL just ran the Saturday footy and let all the senior bludging players go hell for leather of a Sunday, Group 6 can have all the do-do. What is rubbish but is that apparently Campbelltown Eagles want to put a few junior teams in group 6 next season. I hope that's not true. Most of the wests clubs quietly supported you going to g6 because you are way too strong for the local comp, but if you start taking junior kids out there and stuff up our junior comps watch out there will be a blew

I've mentioned this before but group 6 have a points system in place which is equivalent to a non monetary salary cap, so for whole teams to be transferring to another club in group 6 is simply not feasible. So a mass exodus of players coming to group 6 or one particular club will not happen , simple really.

Thanks Mate looking forward to it Hasn't it been an interesting morning on here. First of all I would like to say to Parra it has been great working with you this year at ESA it will be sad to see you go, our senior's would not have been what it was without the hard work you, your staff and some of the committee put in but we wish you well and hope it works out for you. Mac Bulls he will be great for your club.
Fencesitter it's a shame you couldn't of sat on your dads information for a couple of more weeks, even though our A-grade and reserves are out we still have a hard couple of weeks ahead of us at the club with having nearly all of our age groups from 8's to 18's still playing in finals and grand finals and we would of preferred that something like this be left to after then to be announced, as Mac Bull has said. Knowing everything dosen't have to always mean telling everybody about it.
Our club including Parra will be concentrating on supporting our teams in their upcoming games and nothing else and to the parties out there who would like to try and take the excitement of grand final weeks away from us, well good luck we are stronger than you seem to think....
I would like to wish all clubs from Wests and Group 6 good luck this weekend and next, there will be some good footy played and some young talented players on show so everybody should get out to either comps and have a look and show support.

It has been an eventful season for both sides of the comp this year, and as a mother of a footy player I would like to hope that one day it will get back to what it should be about watching our kids play footy, some maybe one day going on to a promising career and some others growing up and playing senior football for local clubs weather it be here or in group 6 and not be about who likes who or what club is going where or what rumour has been heard, or faceless people behind keyboards giving opinions or gossip to stir the pot, maybe I am being unrealistic but that's just me.
For those that may have forgotten what footy is about get out there this weekend and watch the nerves show on a players face weather they are 8 or 20 when they run onto the field for their grand final, or watch the excitement on a mothers face when her baby (and it don't matter how old they are they are always our baby) scores a try or makes a big tackle, or the elation on a coach's face at the full-time siren when his team has won.

correct in a way - we used i think a total of 40-50 points of the 180 allocated being all 2 point players with 140 points left over thats 14 players and ten points we could have added in also to boost up to 180 points - out of area players being at 10 points allows us to sign more if we loose some players next year 25 man squad lets say 10 stay at 2 points gives us 20 used up leaving 160 points left thats 16 ten point players we can sign and i belive res and 1sts are more points allocated allowing whole teams of 10 point players to be signed - our 18s next year will also be all 2 point players i belive as we have never fielded an 18s. Thanks Bull Now I get it. I tried to ask before but got slammed
So if you are a new club all your players are 2 points or if you enter a side that you have never had before all your players are two points
So if a new club is formed all with esa players they are all 2 points no matter what?
So the new club picks all the best wests players and comes to us all at 2 points
Doesn't seem fair, but if themselves the rules themselves the rules

Dad heard at Raby Tavern last night that ESA Reserve Grade and A Grade are headed over to the Bulls next year, this coming from a reliable source that knows the President of ESA, is there any truths in this Mad Tiger or Parra Eels, just asking the question!
Fencey my boy your never far off the mark!!! I will be at the Bulls next year, main reasons mate is i live in Camden and training and home games in Camden makes it very easy..And i see a huge future in Bulls..I have no problems with the wests comp in anyway..a FEW of my boys will follow but not whole teams..
I've mentioned this before but group 6 have a points system in place which is equivalent to a non monetary salary cap, so for whole teams to be transferring to another club in group 6 is simply not feasible. So a mass exodus of players coming to group 6 or one particular club will not happen , simple really.
