Any thoughts on the group 6 team? I'll be honest, having not seen every team yet and not being familiar with all the best players around I couldn't pick a team. But I think the following players should be there (excluding Eagles players for obvious reasons):
Shannon Gallant - Narellan Michael Lett - Picton Matt Macauley - Oakdale Ryan Borg - Mittagong Scott Borg - Mittagong Chris Young - Picton Dave Lowe - Oakdale Bart Masters - Oakdale Rocky Trimarchi - Narellan
Apart from that I'm not sure. Plenty of quality still in the comp. I was impressed by Narellan's 2nd rowers and centres on the weekend. If I can throw one biased smoky up there, it'd be Picton's 9 Anthony Provost. I'm not saying he's the best hooker and I don't think he'll get picked, but he wouldn't be out of place. Every week he's one of our best. He can run, pass, tackle and is a genius at kicking goals.
Anyway, what other opinions are there? Anyone want to pick an entire squad?

The Group 6 1st Grade Representative squad has been announced;
Scott Borg Mittagong Ben Baker Mittagong Matthew Brasington Thirlmere Christopher Corby Camden Samuel Conlon Oakdale Warwick Carter Mittagong Wade Dunley Camden Stuart Flanagan Thirlmere Shannon Gallant Narellan Brad Hopkins Oakdale Matt McCauley Oakdale Allan McGrath Narellan Tom Moon Oakdale Christian Nahlous The Oaks Robert Payne Mittagong Alex Peters Picton Corey Shields Narellan Matthew Thorpe Mittagong Jaydin Tavita The Oaks Ben Takaiwai Narellan Alex Vincent Camden Chris Young Picton Kyle Weh Oakdale

Very strong squad going to interesting to see the final 17 anyone willing to have a stab ?? Ill have a crack, probably might change but ill stick with this for the time being. Picked 3 forwards on the bench because theres players in the starting line up that can shuffle around to accommodate. For example carter has been playing lock for mitta but can play in the backs also.
1, S Gallant 2 B Baker 3 M. Brassington 4 A McGrath 5 M. Mcauley 6 S. Borg 7 W. Dunley 8. R Payne 9. C. Corby 10. C Young 11 S Flanagan 12 B Hopkins 13 W Carter 14 K. Weh 15 T Moon 16 A Peters 17 A Vincent

Big suprise stolky from thirlmere didnt make it not many people know him but I'm telling you he's a hand full can play centre or any where in the forwards, he is a big human! Other then that a solid team I think ,great to see borgy in the mix hes got the xfactor

It's mic stolk he started centers now been push to the front row with Gavin put back to lock and he killed it there scoring a double! I agree stu reeves has got his work cut out with many players that can fulfill expectations

The Group 6 Juniors are known as the Bushrangers Yes the juniors tried adopting the name Bushrangers because yelling out "Group 6" at games came out sounding more like "group sex". But it never really caught on and it's not really used any more - hasn't been on the rep gear in quite a while.

Maybe both leagues should be put on the agenda to have a moniker or mascot for both jnr & snr rep teams, I've put forward ny suggestion group 6 " thunder" or something flora or fauna related to the group 6 area ?

I'll pass on your suggestion. Not sure who picks the team but why had Dunley been picked in the team and stated that he now plays for Camden when he is still training at campbelltown where therefor he wouldnt qualify would he or is it just wishful thinking
