All Saints senior teams are staying put in Wests. We are based at Liverpool with a first class oval and facilities. Fourteen Wests A grade teams spread over two divisions is ok (better than Canterbury, Balmain, St George, Easts & Souths who have had to merge to form a competition). Impractical to move to Leppington just to play in Group 6. We'll save a fortune on petrol money. Not worried about next year as the 2011 season is our major concern at the moment. Anyhow I'd rather sing "When the Saints come marching in" with the lads after a well earned victory than doing an Irish jig when the Leppington Leprechauns win.
Exactly Saint. 14 teams in 2011. 18-20 teams in 2012. Wests are doing a great job under tough circumstances. And All Saints are having a great season in 1sts and Reserves.
Put it this way bobcat, THERE IS NO WAY MY CLUB WILL BE PLAYING IN THE WESTS SENIORS NEXT YEAR, I SWEAR THAT ON MY KIDS! Our board members and I have seen enough and we are not ESA. well from what I hear at the rusey tonight warriors reggies will be flat out ending the season concord tigers team is basically gooooone & reggies coach has had enough of no blokes at trainin & then getting flogged at weekend

Same story every week from you lot. Constantly trying to pull the clubs down. Everyone has their reasons for hammering those running things, in what way do the clubs deserve it?
Group 6 clubs decided Wests clubs weren't wanted. Their reasons from that point on are irellivant as far as the wests clubs are concerned. If anything, group 6 turning around and accepting 2 junior league clubs says more about them than the clubs that remain.
There's some great footy being played at the moment, but people here are too caught up if their do-do to see it. Every positive story, everything pro wests clubs gets jumped on by the group 6 brigade, the same brigade that wan't to make sure every knows how happy they are to be outside the district.
The work that in particular the Titans, All Saints (who were a group 6 1st grade club in 2010), ESA, and Minto have done this year is nothing to laugh at. Are they facing adversity? - sure, anyone can see that. But to sh*t on these clubs for sticking their hand up and trying to get things running is ridiculous.
The footy is only going to get better, and sooner rather than later these clubs are going to be in a position to pursue players with some decent coin, which will only expidite the process.
What people fail to recognise, is that when the comp split, the Wests clubs had to start from scratch. But in less than 12 months we have clubs building, creating something within their community, raising money for charity, and playing some great footy to boot.
You all need to take a step back and realise you are all hammering people exactly like yourselves. It's not going to help either side of the boundary acting like this.
I'd love to see some more talk about the actual footy going on, but people are too busy on their perches flinging sh*t at each other to care. This community could be so much more than it is, and for every new name we get posting here, it's easy to see that there are 10 others who don't want to talk about the do-do.
And so you don't jump on me as one of the JL people. I'm with the Liverpool Titans, and have been with the Warriors and Easts in the past. I personally love every club I get to be apart of, and its incredibly frustrating to see it all being torn down for the benefit of a few ego's. If anything, this comp will thrive in spite of those that run it - not crumble below beauracracy.

Development Coach, if everything is so rosey, why are the powers to be pushing the combined comp again, I was always in favour as an 18 year old I see the good of it, ESA 18's will understand that, the comp out here is in an absolute mess, the 18's have been split in 2 Div 4 in each, that's not healthy, your Titans has had 2 forfeits in the last 2 weeks, and you have clubs jumping ship, something needs to be done and while you have the same people run it nothing will change, just my opion but it's on the mark, where will you be next year?

Well said Development. If these people are so much in a better place now, why haven't they left us in Wests alone? Maybe there wives are not happy about the Camden and Oakdale petrol bills??
Mac... Bull(do-do) I find it laughable that you think I am somebody involved in Wests. My regard for Wests is not great but it is a lot higher than you people who just sit around all day trying to drag what we have down. The Wests clubs were told to rack off by Group 6. You people were then disloyal to your area. The Wests clubs have done as best as they could and I applaud them And I will continue to stop your attacks on these good people and clubs.

Bobcat....... If you are who everyone is saying you are then you have considerable push in this area. This is just my opinion but, the main reason all the negative postings are put up about the West Comp is to destabilize it, and they hope it will fall over and (correct me if I am wrong) if no viable comp is available then the play and train rule cannot be enforced. Would it not make good sense to relax this rule completely as an act of good will and if this was done I think most of the negative comments would stop as there would be no real reason to continue the Wests baggings and in fact We may even then get some positive coments come out that may promote the game for 2012. Both sides are doing what they believe to be right for their cause and at the moment nobody is giving an inch. The West's bagging will continue until something gives and it is hurting local football. Is it going to hurt the game so much to let them play and train at their home grounds. Surely this would be for the good of local rugby league.
Again this is just my opinion but how long is this going to go on for if nobody comes up with some options.

I'm a volunteer at a Wests JL club and am just sick of seeing these selfish people take aim at good people giving up there weekends and doing there best because they care. You're spot on, that is there goal- but the Wests comp is too strong, its clubs too passionate and 2012 will see them begging to come back.

Bobcat.... I mix with people on both sides and one thing I am certain of is that they will not ever come back to Wests unless there is ??? I dont know what could make them want to come back. The G6 model of how they run the game is very good. I hope Wests can use what they have learnt from it and build accordingly. I dont like the bagging either but until what I said above happens I dont believe it will stop.

Well if there so happy over there, that's great. Show it by staying on the Group 6 site and stop the nonsense and bagging of Wests. At our club we are glad Easts has gone. They would have destroyed the Wests A Grade anyway.

The sport will not grow until all this is settled!! Im sorry but the JL must remove the kids from the men as jnr footy and snr footy are totally different beasts.
In regards to the combined comp i make no secret we were not fans of this due to a few clubs that not to my surprise are no longer around so i feel very bad for the Saints and ESAs of the comp which were decent clubs in 2010.
Untill the mud slinging stops the sport and its club will not reach there full potential

Mav, I'm not who they say I am, my son doesn't play with Knights. I'm a volunteer at a Wests JL club and am just sick of seeing these selfish people take aim at good people giving up there weekends and doing there best because they care. You're spot on, that is there goal- but the Wests comp is too strong, its clubs too passionate and 2012 will see them begging to come back. begging to come back come on fatcat you are sounding silly and making a real goose of yourself no one is coming back you and all the forum know it no independent to run a combined comp you know it the tigers meetings with group 6 clubs would have shown you that they dont want a bar of it as much as you and benny want it its over let go wont happen cant break what dont need fixing grab your life jacket your ship is just about sunk
