ronny will be the best move you blokes ever make out there
I played with & helped appin when we were the warriors
we left wests for the same reason do-do seniors comp & had 5 top seasons out there
we won the 18s & reserves in 92 & 94
the pub & town will get right in behind the footy club if the club is run good
you won't look back
I'm told the masters footy set itself up in appin as well to steer clear of wests
Warrior,
you wouldn't know cocko by any chance, just a good mate of mine
who helped out with the 18's at Appin this year.
should have added , he played out there in that era also
steve? real tough second rower played with steelers in sydney 1st grade. Top fella best player we had at appin was old Kim patrick played til he was 40 I think & is always having a beer in the pub there when I pop in. stan presdee & Mick kirkman close to best players as well mentioned 4 sydney top graders there, Patrick played with illawarra as well how many ex 1st graders play in the wests junior league hahaha, we even had aseri Laing mick de veer & big angelo play for us all nrl players in there own right we were very succesful out there good luck with it exciting for youse is skd having a run
should mention mick deveer for those who dont know played for broncos his name .. micheal hunt changed his name back in the day.... Yes I think he will be playing 1st grade along with a few others. Where is Angelo now have not heard of him for years last I heard he was going to France. de vere played origin & for aussie not bad old ctown & appin warrior I saw big Angelo at a mates 50th a few years back lives in brissy now youse have done a great job doggiesgirl in bringing footy back to appin use are the dogs now, all cool. Y did the juniors fold but they were going good We ran outta money and players simple. & it stuffed things up when the 18s boys trashed the town in 94 after winning the comp the town went cold on us whens someone gonna jump that school fence & angle grind those afl posts in the school?

It does if your trying to poach players from the west! appin really plugging hard out are they struggling for numbers maybe is it true they are not paying 1st grade players and if so what quality will that attract? if appin dont get the numbers for 2 teams will they still field a 1st grade? group 6 like the draw done fairly early so im thinking they would have to know and probably why appin are starting so early as if sunday i hope appin get all grades up but not paying 1st graders may hinder the venture how will clubs feel if they went around in 3rd again being premiers 2 years in a row id say 1st is a must and good luck to appin it can be achieved

appin really plugging hard out are they struggling for numbers maybe is it true they are not paying 1st grade players and if so what quality will that attract? if appin dont get the numbers for 2 teams will they still field a 1st grade? group 6 like the draw done fairly early so im thinking they would have to know and probably why appin are starting so early as if sunday i hope appin get all grades up but not paying 1st graders may hinder the venture how will clubs feel if they went around in 3rd again being premiers 2 years in a row id say 1st is a must and good luck to appin it can be achieved Yes it does have relevance. It gives the opportunity for all to see what is out there and at the end of the day people will make their own mind up. This has nothing to do with poaching or Wests or group 6 for that matter, it entitles people to know what is out there and what is available to them.I do not come on here to disassociate people from their allegiances with whoever, it is simply about Rugby League which I too am passionate about. To answer the question about struggling to get players, we are attempting to resurrect 1st grade, reserves and U18's. We only run with 2nd division and 18's this year. So to field these teams in 2012 we obviously need the numbers so why not put it out there to give our club every opportunity to achieve this. "OH" did i mention about our meet and greet day on Sunday lol. It's a shame about the knockers, which you seem to see a lot off. Shame Rugby League itself is not the big winner as it should be for all who are involved in the game as most of us are volunteers that put a lot of time/effort into it. We are a small club trying to do our best and enjoy the game of Rugby League and trying to give back a great contribution to the great game it is. Gotta start somewhere, so why not it be at Appin!!!.

this appin hi jack of a west thread has gone to far please moderators act on it appin 5 years as a small 3rd grade club 1 gf and 2 premierships so appinboy if you cant do it next year and field all teams you never will and stop poaching west players the mods should not be allowing this garbage but is it because its group 6 again come on enough is enough
appinboy look at titans 1 year 2 senior teams yes 1 year not 5 and 2 premierships you have done nothing but mercinary a low weak division step up or step out but without our west players it wont happen and i hope group 6 make you fold

Why did Appin change from Warriors to the Dogs? anychance in becoming Warriors again and using Campbelltown Warriors as your Junior Club, sounds like Collies maybe your junior club know and I suppose a collie is a dog.
Appin warriors folded 10 years before we were established. Appin dogs have their own juniors now. Appin dogs are blue black and white appin warriors. were yellow green and white, when the warriors folded so did their junior club. The senior and junior clubs have worked hard for the last 4 years to provide a local club for our local kids, we may not be a big town population only 1800 but we will grow in the next ten years...Last year was the first year we had juniors come uo to seniors, there may have only been 10 players but they were our first, this year we had 6 players come up to play in senior grade next year I think there is only 4 as all the others that played in under16s were only 14. Appin are the Appin Dogs and will not change their name to Appin warriors. we named our club after a couple of well known icons in the town Appin Dog Track and Appin Pubs Dog Bully who is our mascot and the dog in our logo. yes we do have Campbelltown post code 2560 but we are a group 6 club with group 6 juniors...our club would never change their name nor want to loose their identiy ...but we do consider the warriors as our brother club and if their juniors dont have a senior club to go to they are welcome to join ours... I actually recieved a call from the local paper last year asking me if we were aware of the Appin Panther that roams Appin...and they asked us if we would consider changeing our name to the Appin Panthers....mmmmm my response was quick and short NO. No offence intended Warriors.... we are now Appin Dogs Collies club is not our junior club we have our own... and yes if collies players need a place to play we are just down the road... Rumours we are combineing is only a rumour as I stated above it has taken 4 years to build our own identity and we will not part with it....Hey but thanks for your concern blue devil. Any one wanting to play 1st grade reserve grade or under 18s next year Appin are looking for players we are haveing a meet and greet on sunday 16 october at miday till 2pm come out and see what our club is all about and enjoy a sausage sizzle.... Hey just a thought if you decided to pair up with west junior collegians , imagine the juniors pushed your way then as the office does for collies now

Once again, you have nothing imformative to say just same old rabble rabble, shame you dont put all your energy into supporting the game instead of generating so much negativity no mater where you are from, but you seem too shoot down your enemy as well as your comrades. Just glad ya aint got my back mate. I feel sorry for people who must be over listening to your rants about nothing. Freedom of speech is a choice in Australia, which each and everyone of us are entitled to.Some , like you just use your freedom to tell us nothing?. By the way it's Appinboyz and well done to Titans and whoever else does well.Suppport the game.

ronny will be the best move you blokes ever make out there
I played with & helped appin when we were the warriors
we left wests for the same reason do-do seniors comp & had 5 top seasons out there
we won the 18s & reserves in 92 & 94
the pub & town will get right in behind the footy club if the club is run good
you won't look back
I'm told the masters footy set itself up in appin as well to steer clear of wests
Warrior,
you wouldn't know cocko by any chance, just a good mate of mine
who helped out with the 18's at Appin this year.
should have added , he played out there in that era also
steve? real tough second rower played with steelers in sydney 1st grade.
& it stuffed things up when the 18s boys trashed the town in 94 after winning the comp the town went cold on us whens someone gonna jump that school fence & angle grind those afl posts in the school? it was because of the town trashing in 94 that football came to an end at Appin.....thanks for the praise I am so happy that footy is back in appin and hope it remains our town is growing a new development going in soon....
