With all these rumours of wests jrl planning on joining the canterbury comp now the penrith comp shows the lack the confidence they have in running a comp on their own again and having team numbers to do so. Why else would they be shopping around so soon after the completion of this years comp if what had been said is true?
Hard to believe isnt it Stu, I thought to myself not a chance, I just called my mate at Penrith Brothers and he assured me that this was bought up at the Penrith Junior League meeting yesterday, I could sit back and laugh my guts out but this wont help Senior Rugby League in the Campbelltown area, I also have no doubt all this is just to stop, some call the defecting clubs, I prefere to call the promoting clubs, coming back into the area Wests Junior League having a so called comp, wether combined with Penrith, is to stop us coming back into Campbelltown. Just the facts, we have already booked our training and playing grounds through Camden Council for 2012, we have no interest in coming back and we are happy training and playing on great facilities that have been offered to us. we know where we are for 2012, not like teh rest of the Wests clubs that now have no idea and makes it hard to plan and organise players. All that has been posted on this forum and the Promoting clubs seems to be doing the right thing for the game! So the intent is to get a competition at any lengths to enforce the play & train rule ? Interesting to see how this pans out

Interesting to see how this pans out well by the way beefa chats, it seems its there sole focus, i hope its not but if you think about it, with wests rep sides now vacating this area for travel, might as well make sure everyone leaves this area

whats next? Manly- norths comp cronulla? newcastle comp The sad part of this whole situation is: I talked about a combined competition at the end of 2007 to the Wests Junior League, only to be singled out at a Junior League meeting as white anting the competition. look at it since 2007, 4 clubs had to play in Parramatta and Canterbury, Canterbury the only area to allow home games for Wests Clubs, 2008 a make shift comp similar to this year, 5 team A Grade and we still had forfiets and one sided games, 2009 Combined with Group 6 at the 11th hour, 2010 Combined Group 6 again but looking prosporus, end of 2010 Combined comp destroyed to look after a couple of Wests Clubs, 2011 we finally had some stability playing Group 6, No forfiets and week in week out great footy, wests comp, say no more, 2012 for us Group 6, Wests Penrith Combined? and all this could of been fixed at the end fo 2007, there was no white anting going on, just some good sturdy concrete foundations that should of been layed and some white ant irragation installed in a good concrete slab! Senior Competition fixed I told you so

Dear Mr Life Member - I have nothing to do with the running of the WESTS JL. I am Chairman of the ALL SAINTS senior teams (A Grade & A Reserves) NOT WESTS. I, as was a representative from each Wests JL club, on a Wests Management Committee that only proposed ideas to the Wests JL Board on the set up the 2011 competition. I do not make decisions re WESTS JL - that is done by the Wests JL Board. I only make decisions re ALL SAINTS.
So what are you saying? forget about the Senior competition and look after yourselves, was you notified about the Penrith combined competition? and if yes, when we was going ro find out? and what was your advice going to Penrith being on the board of the Senior Advisory Committee? What are your clubs plans for 2012? yes its all gone pair shape and people will understand that our club has no choice bit togo Group 6, Penrith is not an option, travelling in the Canterbury Competition al over Sydney is not an option.

Why else would they be shopping around so soon after the completion of this years comp if what had been said is true? Send ESA 18's to Penrith, they can see how good they really are, they would get smashed but blend in well with the likes of Mt Druit, Doonside and Bidwell, they can punch on every time they look like getting beat and that would be every weekend up there. At least we wouldnt have to deal with them in Group 6

Does forum readers feel cheated in what has aspired in the last few days, This Junior League does its best to keep clubs out of the Campbelltown area to play Group 6, they cant deliver a Competition here so everyone has to go to Penrith, its about time we get rid of this dinosaur board what we call the Wests Junior League. Ive watched both competition this year and knew that the wests comp wouldnt last another year, so instead of talking to clubs, lets do what we want to do, and send teams to Penrith, what our clubs out west should do is send the Junior League board to Penrith, and say how do you like it. There is no logic what so ever, all this is, is to get at Blue Devil and his cronies,

I hope one day the game is released with the fight in it only just so you can see who actually threw the first punch and that it was BOTH SIDES that carried on with the fight. Collies and ESA both have some great talented players in their teams and on the day we happened to win just like you guys won the game we played before it. The boys left the fight on the paddock try doing the same.

Dad knows people fairly high up, he said there is no way Penrith or Canterbury will take on the Wests Seniors, he said the 2 teams from Liverpool will end up in Parramatta with no home games, apart from that he said there will be no other A Grade teams in the Wests Juniors, No Bulldogs, No Minto, No Warriors, No Collies, No LCC, No ESA, No N20's, he talked to the Warriors President last week and he said they advertised for players and coach's in the paper and didn't get not one response!

Mate there is no need to say that!
easy to say when you dont cop the do-do we have Highlander.
Mate that is totally unfair on the volunteers who develop those kids and aint into politics! Mate i hear and feel your pain regarding volunteers, Fact is mate these kids need senior football and if the district they play in can't provide it for them then they will look elsewhere to continue thier footy at senior level, West's juniors have for years been playing juniors at west's then moving on to Group 6 clubs for senior footy its not going to change and why not take advantage of it

Where's Beefa & Bobcrap now?
Isn't it time for another rant about how; - G6 will fail and be forced by "higher powers" to play in a merged comp; - traitorous clubs will return with their tails between their legs only to be denied a return to Eden; - Wests will provided "the greatest comp in the world" in 2012; - Wests will join with Canterbury for "the greatest comp in the world"; - Wests will join with Penrith for "the greatest comp in the world"; - blah, blah, blah..... Golly gosh, I miss those guys.....

It's all about punishing specific people rather than any firm plans to keep Wests comp going. I now know exactly why Eagles, Roos & Bulls didn't want a bar of it!
Is there anyone on that committee that has the ability to look past personal conflicts and actually run a comp?
This is simply shameful and I'm so glad my only taste of this mentality was the 2 years of the joint comp. Thank goodness Group 6 clubs are run by intelligent people with the game, their players and supporters in the forefront of their decisions. I may not always agree with what they do but they have never behaved in this petty, spiteful, unprofessional manner.

yes blue devil we will be going to penrith and our loyal clubs will follow and enjoy training and playing at thier home grounds still you lot will be forced again to train and play at cascades leppington and mt hunter we will have the biggest a grade comp in nsw with penrith a great vision by the good people at west yet again shows yet again why we have had the best junior league last 20 years and now will be even better your disloyal clubs will disband in 2 years with your players having to travel to train and council will see to it nswrl train play is enforced count my words on it good luck to all west clubs in 2012 penrith here we come baby Well this just goes to show the mentality of Wests JRL!
I may not always agree with what they do but they have never behaved in this petty, spiteful, unprofessional manner. only dead fish go with the stream easts city & bulls showed courage going against wests & are now being punished out of area as an example to other clubs wests won't have a comp & they know it seriously which clubs are left for seniors? all saints & titans

Dad made some great points to me today and This is what Campbelltown has come to, Wests Magpies Premier League looks like it's gone, No Bundy Cup Team, N20's Training at Concord, the two best Campbelltown Clubs playing out at Group 6, and to top it off, local A Grade going to Penrith, This Junior League has killed Senior Rugby League in this area, anyone feel free to disagree, if you disagree would love to hear your reasons why
