Never a long way off, just around the corner is the new Group 6 season Here's a few things to get the Silly Season well under way-
Appin Dogs will shortly announce the signing of ex- Ryde Eastwood Metro Cup half Paul Jarvis as 1st Grade coach. Jarvis coached Collies U/18s to the combined comp title in 2010 and will draw heavily from the Collies ranks and one or two other Wests junior clubs as they step up to field all 3 grades in G6 1st Division. 1st Grade Rugby League will return to Appin after an absence of 16 years.
Narellan is poised to announce the capture of a star East Campbelltown player.
Macarthur Bulls will emerge as the powerhouse club of the new suburbs, with Bulls supremo Matt Hughes soon to announce 2-3 major signings for their inaugural season in Group 6 1st Grade.
Warragamba may look to enter 1st or Reserve Grade. The Wombats would make a 13 team 1st Grade competition in G6, the highest number in the competition's history.
The possible entry of Bargo into 2nd Division is in trouble due to the AFL receiving exclusive access to the Showground in return for $$$$ for lighting upgrades.
Good luck to everybody trying to tolerate the cricket

Bowral and Robertson field 1st grade you would have a 15 team 1st grade is that a possibility Highlander? or anyone from Robertson? and what would the make up of a second division be how many clubs will field all 3 grades? Great to see Appin stepping up and the new club as well some big news if true Oil No chance mate the area can not fund 4 1st grade teams and Bowral has become a area full of people well past there prime!!
