No weed I think, just the smell of money. Higher entry fees can be charged and the Group will have control of grog sales, plus they will charge clubs for the opportunity to run the BBQ and canteen. |

I agree top 6 why would people wanna pay cash to watch teams that struggled through the year in a semi final it's not fair for those teams that put the hard yards in then u get teams that won 4 or 5 games all year play in the semis, if ur against is bigger the ur for then u don't deserve to be in the finals that's what I think |

Keep top 5, clubs should work hard to make top 5, let's not make it like Wests comp, have 6 teams and make top 5, |

Agreed. Top 5 is the only way to go. If this does prove to be true (and my source tells me it came straight from the top) it will make an absolute mockery of any integrity the group thinks this comp has. When the word got around training last night the boys laughed and a couple joked that if we beat the Oaks this week we may as well forfeit all year and just play kangaroos in the last round before the semis. Even though we are starting to come good now I'm not interested in scraping into an 8 team semi. If we can't make the 5 we have no business playing in the finals. |

Top 5 top 8 doesnt work and makes a mokery of the season proper, We have had as a club in both grades 3 forfiets already we dont want nor need more from clubs that know if they finish 8th they can play semis so why bother playing as Bargo did to us 3 weeks ago after they beat Jamberoo who trotted out with 10 men(showed spirit in just turning up) Bargo put 50 on them then forfiet to us next week 2nd div is a mokery as is add in top 8 please!! some of the Groups decisions this year have been

ICCC dont even get that, semi's are "top 4" only in 8 team comps. So top 8 in in 9 team comp seems?

Makes the season proper a mockery. Whats the point of trying hard all year when you can just turn up for semi's and maybe fluke a win. Picton wil be relieved and Camden letting out a collective sigh. Everyone can say 'we made the semi's' and if you don't then you win the wooden spoon in any case lmao |

Reserve grade derby honours B.J's memory http://www.wollondillyadvertiser.com.au/news/local/sport/rugby-league/reserve-grade-derby-honours-bjs-memory/2595790.aspx ![]() Shield win: Thirlmere/Tahmoor reserve grade rugby league team celebrate winning the B.J. Memorial Shield on Sunday. THIRLMERE/TAHMOOR were the 30-24 victors in this year's B.J. Memorial Shield Group 6 rugby league game on Sunday, at Victoria Park, Picton. The Roosters led 20-12 at the break and continued their momentum to ensure the win in the second half. The annual clash between the reserve grade teams takes place to honour the memory of Ben Pendergast, also known as B.J. Ben, who died in 2007, played for nine seasons with Picton and four seasons with Thirlmere/Tahmoor. Sunday's game was the sixth time the shield had been up for grabs. Picton has won the shield three times. Thirlmere/Tahmoor has won it twice. The two teams drew 10-all in the inaugural 2007 clash. |

I heard the thirlmere picton game there was like 47 penalties by a young ref if that was the case that's a total joke group 6 need review the refs and stop letting little teenagers ref first grade |

i agree mate, i think its total nonsense that they give these young people the whistle in 1st grade they get to easily intimidated and dont no how to control the game properly which is frustrating for players. just an idea i think that for semis and grand finals they should get refs from different areas because in last weeks game us (rams) vs the jets it was almost tearful to see the ref having mates for the jets and clearly favouring them with all the 50/50 calls. i'd serioulsy much rather have refs that nobody knows so it makes the game fair for both teams and therefore the best team can win on the day instead of being the best team and have all the calls go against us which then means the ref wins the game for them. so it will be interesting to see if anyone likes my idea because it is seriously better than what is in place at the moment. also get rid of these unfit touches they cant keep up with the play and call forward passes when there 10 to 20 metres behind the pass its a joke and needs to stop. maybe give the young blokes the flag so they can actually keep up.......... go rams

heres my tips for this week guys. oaks vs picton.. i think picton will put a few tries on early with a late comback by oaks but i still think picton will have enough to win picton 32 oaks 22. mittagong vs jets.. i think mittagong at mittagong will put jets to sleep, mittagong 34 jets 12. and just a heads up to mittagong, jets like to fight instead of playing footy most the time.... rams vs thirlmere.. now this is an intersting game especially being at thirlmere fortress but i think how hard work will be rewarded with an upset im tipping us 18 thirlmere 10 oakdale vs eagles.. grand final rematch, i think oakdale might cause a worry for eagles early in the match but i think the eagles will be to strong eagles 42 workers 22. anyone else want to share theres id like to hear your opinions. especially jetter lmao. |

A bit rough saying the Jets love to fight instead of play, haven't they beat you twice this year??? Sounds like sour grapes mate. Apparent bias ref or not even when the Jets were struggling for players they still beat the Rams even with all the recruitment the Rams have done over the last 3 years and have got no results to show for it! You should just worry about getting results instead of blaming everything else. Should be a good round of footy though. |

hahaha a bit rich blaming the ref cause the Jets got up over those silvertail Rams!!! We have got the better of the Rams over the last few years when they have had the name players (lets name them ...Chris Brown ex Gr 6 Player of the Year, Begovich ex NYC Tigers, Wisbey ex NYC Tigers, those Cabra boys, a few Gr 6 reps etc etc just look at their website and all those signings and re-signings they announced) whilst the Jets had the same core players for years..Wilson, Crocker, MacDonald, Baker with Trimarchi returning, a few boys that come in from the cold and the rest committed Jetters coming up from reggies and 18's... There were no fights in Sunday's Rams vs Jets game so I don't know where you get that the Jets like to fight, the fight they have is to make sure they always beat Camden!!! Camden had a fair crack but couldn't hang onto the ball whilst the Jets jumped ahead with some skillful play from the speedsters. You read the Advertiser each week and its the same excuses...yeah the ref was against us, we have a few injuries, the ground was too muddy hahaha I won't mention reggies and that game..... Mittagong might beat us but Rams won't beat Thirlmere so you guys are still 4 or 5 points outside the top 5. |
