It's voted for by the other coaches on a 3, 2, 1 basis. I wouldn't count out Barnsey though |

I think he has played quite well this year, and he also has a good relationship with the referees, so i'll say Scott Borg. |

Mac Bulls 18's had a big win today against The Oaks boys, but credit goes to The Oaks players they never once gave up, never complained or put their heads down when the score got so blown out they are a credit to their club. |

Congrats to Camden reggies having effectively sealed the minor premiership after a hard fought 12 all draw against Easts. Was a tough game played at a frantic pace. That is unless we beat narellan next week and Oakdale can pull something out of the bag and get over Camden. |

I missed the game, but apparently it was a very good win by City 1st Grade yesterday up at Picton. We are going to be a touch unlucky to miss the semis in 2012, but things now seem to be headed in the right direction. Foal would be on Mad Monday and I hate to rub it in, but what was the last year that Picton didn't make the semis? Ron Kain make it up for the old boys day yesterday? |

Campbelltown Eagles Media Release 13-8-2012 1st Grade Campbelltown Eagles 56 def Camden Rams 4 The Campbelltown Eagles played Camden Rams in Round 17 in the Group 6 Country Rugby League Competition. The Eagles keen to keep the undefeated run scored first through veteran Michael Bradstock, Tries came at will for the Eagles running in another 8 tries for a great display in front of their home crowed at Waminda Oval. Tries for the Eagles went to Chris Standing, Sean Connor, Ben Weir, John Da Silva, and 2 tries to Grant Lahey and Lale Neemia. Stephen Harding kicked an impressive 7 from 7 for the Eagles to run out winners 56-4 Coach Richard Barnes said we are really starting to hit our straps; the guys are playing very entertaining footy throwing the ball from one side to the other stretching the oppositions defence. Our own defence is solid, that’s pleasing when we are scoring a lot of points and still very keen to defend our line through the entire match. The Eagles are hosting the Narellan Jets at home for the last round of the season, The Eagles will be celebrating a great 2012 regular season with a Sponsors and Life Members Day, all Life Members are encouraged to call Daniel on 0425 335 345 to book there position. Reserve Grade Campbelltown Eagles 12 drew Camden Rams 12 This was a top of the table clash and was played like a Grand Final, both teams giving there all in a very entertaining game that sees Camden getting the Minor Premiership with the drawled result, The Eagles scoring 3 tries to 2 and highlighting a very good standard of Reserve Grade Rugby League 3rd Grade Campbelltown Eagles 94 def Mt Annan 4 Under 18’s Campbelltown Eagles 32 drew Camden Rams 32 Sunday the 19th of August Waminda International Stadium 1st Grade, Campbelltown Eagles V Narellan Jets @ 2.30pm Reserve Grade, Campbelltown Eagles V Narellan Jets @ 1pm U18’s Campbelltown Eagles v Thirlmere Roosters @ 10am Bargo Sportsground 2nd Division Campbelltown Eagles V Bargo Rabbits @ 2.30pm |

I would love to see Barnzy win this award again, his work and commitment towards the club is second to none, he has the respect of all players and has been a great club man producing great results for many years, he has bought a great culture to the club and you can see this in the way the team responds on and off the field, Darren Fallshaw would also be in the running especially when Narellan was struggling at the start of the year, hopefully they finish it off strong, and yes Borg would be the other contender, Mittagong with 4 players out gave us a great run for our money at home a few weeks ago. You might have cruelled his chances by saying you want him to win AGAIN. Coaches are funny people and they don't like their rivals to win, so they vote for the least favourite to win hahaha. Some might say anyone could coach the Eagles and be undefeated. First year coaches include Scott Borg (Mitta), Daryn Fallshaw (Jets), John Stanley (Workers) and Russell Lewis (Picton), whilst Woodo sensationally jumped ship. Mittagong improvers, Jets improvers, Picton disappointers, Oakdale gone backwards whilst Woodo will be friendless in voting. Mittagong are highest on the ladder so Scott Borg will win (which really means Daryn Fallshaw is favourite lol cause I don't want to show favouritism) |

The Jamberoo club are playing gerringong on saturday in the other grades also, makes sense to have all their teams at the one venue. They have rarely had a home game this year. Edited by disco stu, Aug 14 2012, 10:13 AM.

The Regan Cup comp folded 3 years ago, teams like Jamberoo, Bay & Basin and Greenwell Point all went up into Reserve Grade or 1st Grade which just left the Outlaws and a couple of genuine 3rd grade sides left (APOF & Warilla).... and we came back up into G6. Outlaws and Jamberoo went to the Illawarra 3rd Grade comp - Outlaws have been competitive and made the semis each year while Jamberoo were getting pummeled by some huge scores every week.... the Wollongong teams are pretty strong, hence the decision to come up the mountain this year and try their luck! |
