Group 6 have always had this attitude that it is quality footy so they should charge accordingly....sounds like the NRL are playing but basic economics says a cheaper ticket means more people through the gate.

Quick question, do the clubs receive any of the gate takings or does the Group take all?
Sadly the $15 will turn punters away so Group 6 have got it wrong and TC states crowds have been down thus far so the logic behind upping the entry fee knowing this is just plain silly thinking and very greedy, maybe there are financial issues in the Group or are they trying to recope some lost monies in other areas? Who knows but the product they present doesn't warrant a $15 entry.

The word is going around that the Group is struggling financially with the paid role for the Secretary, a lot of clubs think it's been a huge waste of money and pissed at the job he has done this year and our club included. $15 is a disgrace, what are they thinking?

I have also been told on good authority that Damien Brisco has the 1st Grade Grand Final no matter what his performances are today, it's a done deal. Very sad for the other referees to know this and it could affect there performances today as they won't strive for that job next week, refereeing won't want to cost us the game today because of this decision.

I am a pensioner and no way would I pay $15.00 for entry.
There are a few people I know are in a similar boat.

$15 is a joke, how much money have they lost with this secretary? Not only I'm pissed about the $15, what about the 18's kicking off at 8.30am, how stupid are these people? Why not have $8 as normal and 3 games at 1 ground 18's Div 2, and 2 2nd Division games and 3 games at another ground with 18's Res, and 1st. I'm not going for $15.

My thought is that more people through the gate equals bigger profits and more exposure.

Example

1000 people @ $15 each is $15,000
2000 people @ @10 each is $20,000

Last years G/F had many people and players from out of district come to watch. I think if people find out this is the cost they wont come this year. I was thinking of coming down but $30 for me and the mrs, plus fuel, just a bit too steep.

Easy Maths Maverick, add more people, more sales, drinks, beers, pies etc. What are you doing Group 6, how could you clubs agree to $15
Clubs didn't agree to it mate. We were told on Monday night. I brought up that the $10 to get in To games in the weeks prior was too steep, as is the regular $8 for normal games.
The questions were asked, but the group has control of the semi finals.

I think pensioners are only $2, and if you look at today, 6 games into $15 is only $2.50 per game, that sounds like great value, but how many people will watch all 6 games?

And TC is right, don't blame the clubs, it wasn't our decision!

Congratulations to Camden 18's today. Earned their spot in the grand final. 24-10
Proud of my boys mac bulls finishing 3rd for their first season in group 6 and not one punch thrown Ronny.
To Ronny and all the haters you can now sleep at night knowing our season is over, your attitude and attack of a team of kids who just wanted to play footy has been disgraceful this whole season.
Thank you to everyone at group 6 who have helped us out and welcomed us to the competition.

But which league in comparision which has a paid employee to run their respective competitions, has delivered a better product for the year ?? :winner:

Sounds good in principle, but do you really think people will look at at it that way? People everywhere are doing it tough and (IMO) I believe that these gate fees will reduce the amount of people that were going to attend :cstars: How much do you pay to get into a Bundy or State Cup game?

BD is right it is cheap for any one wanting a full days entertainment, but "most" people are there to watch one game in particular that relates to them.

I think the standard of Footy that was displayed today in all games was well worth the $15, I didn't hear anyone crying about it, would of been a great day for the Group!
