I haven't received any nomination of players, I did get an email regarding the night, maybe we didn't get any players nominated. If Eagles cant get any nomination's, with IMO the best side in G6 by a "country" mile, then as they say "somethings rotten in Denmark"

Maybe they haven't made the nominations public yet.......
Maybe they have been busy with the finals........
There's still time for them to contact the clubs and the nominees - its not till the 22nd.
I'd imagine that once this weekend is over they will be concentrating on the dinner.
It's not always dirty dealings going on......

When are they going to make it public, 10 days away and surely letters have been sent, are you the secretary of the Group, is that why you are blowing up, do your job and give us some info, who is nominated leading try scorer? leading point scorer? Player of the year? Coach of the Year?
The finals are over for us, give us something to win, does Ben Barba Baker getting sent off affect him for player of the year?

No I'm not the group secretary or on the committee and I'm not "blowing up" either. I was suggesting reasons why people hadn't heard anything yet.
Why don't the clubs just ring the EO up and ask him what's going on with the list of nominations?
It's not that hard to make a phone call or send an email.
Then they would have the answers they are looking for.
And while the finals are over for you, there is still a lot happening for the Group this weekend, with the Juniors Grand Finals at Thirlmere on Saturday and the Seniors on Sunday at Picton.

I only ever heard of Group 6 tipping players who were maybe winners, never saying who won it!! I doubt there are 9 contenders (1 from each club) so maybe only 1 or 2 got tipped off. Of course Eagles will have players in contension, but then again they all played well so maybe their votes got diluted, whereas a player like Stuart Flanagan at Oakdale would have stood out in most games (just an example, not sure if he is in contension either!!!)
Its a guise to get everyone there in any case, on the off chance they pick up something. Tryscorers and point scorers are easy to pick, all coaches should be there to support their club.

I don't recall them ever making it public but I do know that clubs get the nod as to the "possibles" before hand so that they can ensure that those people attend.
Would look pretty silly to be giving awards to people who weren't there to accept them.

P.S I am sure some one will beat me to it, but tomorrow I will go through last years forum notes and see at what date nominations were released.

You will find it is normally held first week of semi finals, is very unusual that nothing has been mentioned.

I went through last years forum and as strange as this may seem, I could not find a mention of the awards until 9/9/2011 the actual night of the awards. ( I only went back 2 weeks before ) I suppose all the teams new if they had a nomination and were just hoping for the best.

I would like to congratulate Fred Borg being elected again for Campbelltown Council, it looks like he will also hold two seats and his preferences with Gary Potts was a vote for Rugby League in the area, Fred was a major supporter in the Rugby League Rally held earlier this year, Congratulstions Fred Borg!

Was that 4 saying ffukk? surely not, no person on the judiciary would rub someone out of a game never mind the grand final for saying that. My bet is no one on that judiciary has ever played football in their lives. Im a group 6 supporter love the group 6 teams but this is nothing short of disgraceful if this is whats happened. Can anyone from group 6 explain this?
