Any new signings of late? I can't see oakdale being in any kind of strife. Reeves lives down the coast and teaches in the Camden area. Long wait between school finishing and training starting, then the drive back home. Long day at the office, especially when you have a family to go home to. They won't have any troubles gaining a new coach. Can't wait til rivalry round in rnd 1 either. Will all be crackers. Woodo also keeping his cards close to his chest in the game of recruitment. |

No i wont be there im currently in the process of relocating to the south coast due to work reasons im pretty sure our president and secratary will be in attendance though. Due to being currently based down south im not very privvy of the comings and goings but i dare say it will be thrashing out of how best to run the 2nd div in 2012. I have heard there looking into keeping it as even as possable this is very hard to police IMO The idea of satdays has been mentioned before and has merit but this for me and im sure with others would aswell it be hard having kids who play on the satdays aswell you just cant be everywhere. There where a few clubs that didnt show to both - Not sure why the meeting on 2nd div but saturdays no good for our club we have Wilton for Sundays and will request double headers to ease referee's up for 1st grade 2 grounds allocated for 2nd div double headers along with 2 18's games on Sat or Sun will free up ref's for where they shoud be and thats 1st grade and will see each 2nd div club stage at least 4 or 5 home games with 4 games, we cant have 2nd div 4 games at seperate grounds taking away refs from 1st grade fixtures IMO anyway Edited by macbull, Nov 5 2011, 05:57 PM.

Macbull thats a decent idea double headers also mean more money at the gate!!! Not to mention taking stress of the refs.. Surely clubs would make more having more games!! |

I had a little birdie (who sits high up on the grapevine) tell me that a certain black/white/orange entity brought in a fellow this year with plans to groom him to step up and rescue west's senior comp by taking on the top job. He did quite a few "PR" visits to clubs on the other side of the hill, to try and smooth the waters but that wasn't very successful. He is yet to provide "the powers that be" with any results from his fact finding mission |

The Campbelltown Eagles Presentation is on Friday the 2nd of December at Campbelltown RSL Club, a bit later than normal but our club had celebrated its 50th Anniversay 2 weeks ago and 25 players and coaching staff went to Bali for the end of season trip away, thankfully they have all returned safe and well with most of them missing skin, apparently footballers are terrible on mopeds. Our Best and Fairest will be hard to pick with last counting 4 players were in the running, |

2 grounds allocated for 2nd div double headers along with 2 18's games on Sat or Sun will free up ref's for where they shoud be and thats 1st grade and will see each 2nd div club stage at least 4 or 5 home games with 4 games, we cant have 2nd div 4 games at seperate grounds taking away refs from 1st grade fixtures IMO anyway
