Both the G6 juniors & seniors have announce the appointment of Steve Hazelton as the new Executive Officer of both leagues but he will not have a vote in the decisions of either league - it is an administrative position. Juniors & Seniors will still be separate bodies, as they should be.
What does this admin position involve ??
I'm thinking that it pretty much involves whatever the Group Junior & Senior secretaries do. Organising the draw, making sure all paperwork is done, collating results, correspondence with clubs etc. I also think that the position involves organising sponsorship. It's a paid position funded jointly by juniors & seniors.

Probably will know more after the forum tomorrow.
How good is this, the talk on this forum is great reading compared to the do-do on the forum north of the group 6 border, positive talk on new teams and people that care about the structure of the competition, someone tell me the last time Wests Juniors has stuck and worked to a format? bloody hopeless, they have changed it again for 2012, like they have changed it for the past 10 years, a ten team 2nd division comp has a lot of people interested from the Wests juniors, I think there will be more people making the move.

Getting back to what this thread on the forum is about, does anyone know of any of the clubs gains / losses for next year?

Only sure things so far:

Oakdale - (Losses) Brenden Reeves - Kiama

Thirlmere - (Losses) Leo - Livo Titans

There has to be some signings as pre season should have started by now?

The Good Oil, anyone?? ..... what's cracking?
Word is Thirlmere have lost most of there first grade squad, with 4 hanging up the boots, couple going back down the coast and Jayden Merchent signing with Oakdale... So they'll struggle this year unless they win the lotto.

Mossy has regained Willy Mcdonald as cap/coach, with the club still talking to a few major signings, but have lost a couple due to other comitments

Mittagong has also signed ex mossy and cronulla prem league player mark delemont

Picton will be without there back row this coming year, with peters, white and shepperd all over in england enjoying the cold.
Yeah Brendon Reeves is a confirmed loss, but are you sure he is at Kiama?
When did Jayden sign with Oakdale...... good rumour
Bit of a coup for Mittagong signing Delamont, he didn't play much this year, and was missed by Mossy.
Just one thing TC, your not the true champions, play Minto and see how you go, Eagles left Campbelltown because they were to scared to play Minto, no wonder you blokes didnt want the combined comp, bloody scared little cubs, go have your porridge in pick on poor little goldielocks :upyours:
Bring it on champ.
Wanna play? Get your side together and we'll play you pre-season.
Your comment has no merit whatsoever. Where was Minto when the combined comp was on? Languishing in 3rd Grade.
The only side from your side of town that made the semi's in the 2 years was Easts.
We didn't want a combined comp because a bunch of thugs that tried to bash a referee, another bunch of thugs that went down to Bowral and started another all in, and various other thug incidents. And a governing body that allowed it all to happen. Not to mention the fact that the comp was making no money. Look at the crowd at Campbelltown Stadium for the 2010 GF, Pitiful.
Drama's since you left??????????? Oh sorry, Mt Annan had a food fight at McDonalds.
Money since you left? Plenty
Crowd at the GF? Huge

What have you blokes done for the game? you have no juniors so no development at all, you should be made to have at least 4 junior teams to form a senior team, but you blokes think you put the air in the football, When your club produces up and coming NRL stars like Minto, Ill have some respect for you blokes, but at the moment you get none, all you do is rip the heart and sole out of Wests Clubs stealing players you cant produce your self. you should be called the YOGI Bears, dumbest bear ive ever seen and he was just like you blokes, he stole picnick baskets, you steal players

Have a look at yourself Pigs Head, its people likeyou in this wests junior league that has people leaving on mass, your spitful, arrogant, aggressive attitude just shows what people have had enough of, you have taken the game to a new low, what has happened to Group 6 Wests Juniors in worse then th super league war, and you and your junior league has done nothing to help it, when will you grow up. And 15 players from RSL to Mt Annan, see if you can stop them, see what happens

Hi guys, first time commenting on the froup 6 thread for me :D just wanted to point out a fact to Pigshead, now I could be wrong here but I am pretty sure it's not called stealing players when the players are asking to be able come and play good quality football each week under a highly respected coach and in a competitive competition. And I don't know about anyone else on here but the need to have respect from pigshead is not what I yearn for each day. Everyone is right it's people like you who attack the ones who give their time and actually care about the players before anything else a reason to leave.

Myself and the players are looking forward to experiencing country football and everything that goes with it. :)

It's all about demographics you clown. (and if you want to know what demographics means, i'll explain it for you)
When you have a population of 1300 (Oakdale), compared to 11,000 (Minto) your bound to have less people come through.
Oakdale have produced a Kangaroo, and i won't mention another one, but i'm pretty sure a recent kangaroo debutant actually came from Oakdale.
Oakdale, has a very small population, not large enough to support juniors, but this does not mean we don't produce juniors. Because of this small population, most of our juniors end up at The Oaks, or Picton (some of which we don't get back)
There were several locals in our GF side.
I'm not a local, but in the 12 years i've played Group 6 football, i've only ever played for Oakdale.
We don't steal players, there are other clubs guilty of that, we attract players.
We have provided arguably the best Rugby League club for footballers. We have never not paid our players at the end of the season.
Lets go through our Campbelltown players
Matt McCauley - He came to Oakdale from Narellan and been at Oakdale since 2006
Ron Jones - Played at Oakdale for a couple of seasons (What have you ever done to get him back to Minto?)
Bart Masters - Been at Oakdale since 2008
Gavin Philps - He came to Oakdale from Camden in 2010.
4 players from Campbelltown, you idiot, and not once did we actually get them directly from a Campbelltown club.
We might be the Yogi Bears, but with all the friends your making on here, you might become the Bandaged Bear.

I don't think you need to explain yourself, everyone except Beefa, Bobdown and Pisshead, know what a well run club Oakdale is, I bet they wish they had you as a Wests club, they can do with some really well run clubs, after losing East, City and people going to the bulls, what do they have left, mums and dads trying to run seniors, that's why they don't have a senior comp

Huge
Crucify us.
I don't think you need to explain yourself, everyone except Beefa, Bobdown and Pisshead, know what a well run club Oakdale is, I bet they wish they had you as a Wests club, they can do with some really well run clubs, after losing East, City and people going to the bulls, what do they have left, mums and dads trying to run seniors, that's why they don't have a senior comp
wests should do as group 6 do...junior clubs shoud be seperate from senior clubs ....have their own club committee and management committee....

As much as we hate Oakdale on the field, I take my hat of to them for the way they are administered:correct: No Junior base and yet they run a very successful senior club, well done  Pigshead if you could run a decent competition and run it in a seniors way (not juniors) you wouldn’t have players and officials leaving to be part of the Group 6 Competition, before bagging clubs, have a good look at yourself! And look at what club you are really from, I doubt Minto! and I doubt any club! and the running of good clubs leads to the running of a good competition, maybe look at how your clubs are run and do some work on that  but when your clubs are run well dont hold them back, let them move forward and get the other clubs to move forward and then the game will naturally move forward together, when you pull clubs back they will take the competition backwards and thats what you have done!:correct:

And i see you mentioned 4 Junior Teams to have a Senior team, sorry Valley 2 years ago didn’t have 4 Junior teams yet they entered a senior team, so before you call the kettle black have a look at yourself my Pot friend :correct:

To much nonsense from some insecure individuals. Having an opinion is one thing but to carry on like a goose is another. On a positive note, congrats to your Club BD on the way they presented themselves as individuals on the end of season trip. From what I have herd they had a great time but also very responsible. Well done again.

welcome on board footymum,
I too jumped ship this year, and had a great experience.
You wont be dissapointed.

How good is this, the talk on this forum is great reading compared to the do-do on the forum north of the group 6 border, positive talk on new teams and people that care about the structure of the competition, someone tell me the last time Wests Juniors has stuck and worked to a format? bloody hopeless, they have changed it again for 2012, like they have changed it for the past 10 years, a ten team 2nd division comp has a lot of people interested from the Wests juniors, I think there will be more people making the move.
and you and your RSL gumps can run off to Mt Annan, I know about your little midnight meetins and escapedes. you should have your Life membership taken off you for doing your part in killing of the players that just want to play the 75th Anniversary year at the Tigers, dont worry, they will not be cleared, over my dead body!
Pigshead,
i think that the name should have been pigheaded.
You should be a standup comedian, what you say is very funny.
No player stopped to play this year, wont happen next year or the year after.
Either beefa/dunn/bobcat and yourself are the same person or you have been hit with the same stupid stick.
All share the same insight , no formal or relative information or any format of intelligence to go with it.
Dream, one day you will awake
and OHH , IT'S STILL THE SAME.
Wests have promised so much so long and still cannot deliver. At the end of the day
should be the committe that are ridicuosly hopeless thrown out and new ones appointed
that have an idea on how to run a comp. Good luck with that, gotta get clubs with courage to face off
and say enough is enough.
In the meantime we will welcome all your players to our sides, because they just wanna play good footy
and good footy is over in Group 6 and we actually look after the players.
Wake up and smell the roses, you might find they actually smell nice.
