Bargo can play in my backyard :)

Are you jumping ship to Mad Tiger
BD, i no longer live in the area... My family and i are now living in Bargo.. I dont think ill be involved in any official capacity next season (at least in seniors) maybe Juniors if my young bloke decides he wants to play league.. Ill just be a keen spectator... I guess ill be jumping on the Bulls bandwagon as well seeing as though my old mate Parra will be there...

you will love the move and wont regret it at all, welcome to the dark side
Im loving the move already, although not sure about the dark side comment, The way you guys go on i thought this was the brighter side ;)
you got that right tiger ctown ain't what it was
I should of taken the fam southward years ago
but there's no rusey down that way
No but the local pubs are just as good if not better ;) Bargo sports club is tops as well as the Bargo pub :)

Hey guys i know its a long way off but thought id start this to see all the rumors and trumors come out like what will be the make up of the 2012 season all grades? will new teams come in? teams go up or down grades? what clubs will field what teams? who retired and any potential signings for 2012 yet? we have heard all the Appin to Collies ESA to Bulls and makes for some interesting topics i think.
Never a long way off, just around the corner is the new Group 6 season :correct: :correct:
Here's a few things to get the Silly Season well under way-

Appin Dogs will shortly announce the signing of ex- Ryde Eastwood Metro Cup half Paul Jarvis as 1st Grade coach. Jarvis coached Collies U/18s to the combined comp title in 2010 and will draw heavily from the Collies ranks and one or two other Wests junior clubs as they step up to field all 3 grades in G6 1st Division. 1st Grade Rugby League will return to Appin after an absence of 16 years.

Narellan is poised to announce the capture of a star East Campbelltown player.

Macarthur Bulls will emerge as the powerhouse club of the new suburbs, with Bulls supremo Matt Hughes soon to announce 2-3 major signings for their inaugural season in Group 6 1st Grade.

Warragamba may look to enter 1st or Reserve Grade. The Wombats would make a 13 team 1st Grade competition in G6, the highest number in the competition's history.

The possible entry of Bargo into 2nd Division is in trouble due to the AFL receiving exclusive access to the Showground in return for $$$$ for lighting upgrades.

Good luck to everybody trying to tolerate the cricket
Bowral and Robertson field 1st grade you would have a 15 team 1st grade is that a possibility Highlander? or anyone from Robertson? and what would the make up of a second division be how many clubs will field all 3 grades? Great to see Appin stepping up and the new club as well some big news if true Oil
No chance mate the area can not fund 4 1st grade teams and Bowral has become a area full of people well past there prime!!

were hopfull of a 18s though!!!

I dont know it has before :correct: Bowral would be a gold mine for sponsors i thought with all these rich cashed up latte drinking yuppies down that way  serious note a town like Bowral should pull in sponsors no worries so is it attracting players the issue Highlander?

Mate sponsorship is bloody hard as all the yuppies sponsor the Blacks (rugby club) or highlands FC and most of the bigger league sponsors are based in Mittagong or Moss vale and support them!! Mate we only have 5 jnr teams the oldest being 11s (mainly filled with kids from 10s backing up) and once those kids get to high school the bloody private schools put them in there rugby comps!! And whats left are forced to play at mitta or mossy.

In the glory days there was no rugby club and people like the springetts poured cash into the club now we couldnt get five cents off them!!

The only way Robbo and Bowral will get back up to grade is to Merge there jnrs and snrs but that was a massive fail last time so it wont happen!!!

If we could get back into first we would we dont want to be a third grade club but we have no choice as we dont have the cash to attract the big names we once did!!

Sad to say, but the 3rd Grade coach Pottsy has retired, i believe he is setting himself up for a run at politics, i know he has my vote.

A lot of people read this forum, you may not like the Eagles, but if all league lovers can get behind Gary Potts, maybe we can start to get some things happening around the local footy, a vote for Pottsy will be a vote for Rugby League! :correct: we will also have another candidate running for another Board, keep you ears out as we need to get him into that position to make things happen

I'll tell you there's not to many people in the club that liked his coaching style and it would only be reserve grade players as he never coached 1st grade not many players will leave the club we all enjoy it there to much ...

Well Done, sounds like the right coach to get you guys started, wish you luck, I would dare to say you will be a senior club to excess collies players, That's great news for Group 6 and the Appin club. And it was my Dads exclusive news, I broke this a week ago!
