Just wondering if any action was taken against Camden for the behaviour of the crowd at this years Grand-Final, my information is the current first grade coach was in the thick of the action, any word from G6?
Even though I was on the park, I did notice a first grader being escorted by the police from the ground. This is only second hand but I heard he hit a female copper???
You wasn't on the field that long, surely you seen a fair bit of the action from the bench.
Quality, not quantity, at least that's what I tell the missus on a Saturday morning, and my fate could have been much worse. With the quality we have, I'm happy to get a run, and I got a first grade premiership, what have u got to show for? Oops sorry I forgot, what has dad got to show for? This ought to be interesting.
Good reply TC, Quantity, I like that, my dads won a few Premierships in his day, he always tells me how good he was

New Bundanoon coach Brett Breeze and president Chris Ingmire get ready for the 2012 season at Bundanoon Oval. Photo by Lauren Wright

AFTER months of uncertainty, Bundanoon Highlanders have announced they will join Group 6 rugby league for the 2012 season. When negotiations with Illawarra District Rugby Union (IDRU) stalled, Bundanoon turned to Group 6.
No longer the Highlanders, Bundanoon Rugby League will play as a stand alone club in Group?6's third grade equivalent.

With a new code and a new committee, president Chris Ingmire said it was looking up for the club now that a decision had been made about its future.

"It's all going forward," he said. "I think we'll go well. Everyone's fairly keen for it."

While Bundanoon cannot take players from other clubs within Group 6 competition for the 2012 season, Ingmire said they had already picked up a few extra players.Ingmire said key players from the Bundanoon team last year such as Kyal Martin, Dane Trompete, Lachlan Parry, Dan Hewson and Cheynne Denning had also expressed their interest to remain with the club and play rugby league.

Bundanoon struggled in the IDRU second grade competition last year and while many players had hoped to stay with Illawarra, Ingmire said they looked forward to a new challenge next year.

"It's a bit disappointing, [but] everyone's pretty happy to go to league," he said.

There will also be a new man in charge, with Brett Breeze to take on the coaching role for Bundanoon.

Breeze has had experience as a rugby league coach and was involved with Moss Vale Dragons for a number of years.

"I'm looking forward to coaching," he said. "I think they've got a pretty good group of fellas here who are really keen, so I think they should adapt to rugby league and it should be a good season," Breeze said.

While a number of players had had league experience, Breeze said he wanted to get the basics right to begin with and hoped they could be competitive.

"I think we'll just keep it pretty simple to start with," he said.

Bundanoon will hold a sign-up evening on Saturday, January 15, at the Central Hotel in Moss Vale.Any players aged 17 and over are encouraged to join, with training beginning on Tuesday, January 17, at Bundanoon Oval at 6pm.

"Even though the guys played rugby union, I think rugby league is such a popular sport [that] everyone knows the basic rules of the game so I don't think it'll take them long to adapt," Breeze said.

"As long as the guys are competitive in their first season that's the main thing."
Boys finally realized the real game that's played in heaven rah rah not cutting it wonder how long before the wollo white waratahs make the switch over they might see the bulls at Wilton and think hey if bundanoon can do it we might have a crack thats if it's ok with black and white of course

Westie, I responded to peoples' comment -

a) Mac Bulls made the comment about maybe having juniors in the future at Wilton (too lazy to go back and find the post). I responded that you can't just take other club's residential boundary & that a club would have to have discussions with Group 6 Juniors. The same with the Oran Park area. Not once did I say that a senior club couldn't start up there nor did I state any opposition to a senior club being established.
b) I have absolutely no objection to Bargo starting up only that it needs to go through the proper channels. I have said a few times that a 3rd grade at Bargo will be great for the area.
c) In regards to Picton - I responded to the "numbers" comment and added my OPINION.
d) I do have concerns that Group 6 Clubs' involvement in the protest rally could send the wrong message - it's call an opinion and you'll note I asked for others' comments on it.
e) What's with the "love" comment?
f) When did being a part of Group 6 or a club mean that you couldn't have your own opinion or that you were an enemy?

What is your opinion of Group 6 clubs getting involved in the Wests' clubs protest rally? Do you have one or are you simply trying to shove a stick into a hornet's nest?

Funnily enough, that's originally what I was going to ask you after your paranoid rant about the goings on of our club.

But, then I thought I would compile a comprehensive defense to your attack on the club you claim to support instead.

Now, I see you've chosen not to reveal who you are. So, if at any time you'd like to discard your cloak of secrecy I will happily discuss your grievances about our great club in person. It's probably better than clogging the Group forum with our thoughts on Picton. Since you know exactly who I am, you need only approach me.

But, feel free to cling to your alias if you prefer. You're not Billy Boots are you??!!
Simply reponding your comment about wanting to retain players for numbers only. You also seem to have a very low opinion of the younger players - U/16's & U/18's - pity that, seeing as the club is going to need them coming through the ranks, if they don't meet your standard then maybe Bargo can offer an 18's as well. Are you speaking for the club's management or are you expressing your opinion as I was? Do I need the club's permission to have an opinion?

Thank you for your permission to "cling to my alias" - not all of us are attention seekers. And I don't recall anywhere in my comments singling you out or anyone in particular, you made the assumption that it was all about you as was your reply.

Sorry mods - no need for a Picton thread - I've expressed my opinion and will say no more.
No, you did not simply respond to my comment.

What you did was take 3 words from my comment (purely for numbers) and used them to spiral into a rant about how our senior club ignores some players in favour of favourites and superstars and threw around some bizarre references to 'inner circles', 'mates clubs' and 'cannon fodder'. This was even though I clarified my comment about NON-DEDICATED players being needed just for numbers. I'll say it ONE more time, as clearly as possible, in the hope that you won't twist my words again:

If, given the choice of fielding a squad half full of lazy, non-dedicated reserve graders next year or NOT fielding a reserve grade at all due to player drain to Bargo, I would prefer the former option of still fielding a reserve grade team.

It is completely inappropriate for you to be bagging the goings on at our club on a PUBLIC forum from an anonymous position. If you are going to go on record (which you have) you need to declare who you are and what your involvement in the club is. Surely if I am here defending our great club to you it is only fair that I know where and how you developed your gripe.

And, don't be trying to play the 'I didn't single anyone out' card. What you've done is worse. You've made public comments on here suggesting that coaching staff and others heavily involved within the club have acted inappropriately and that the club as a whole does not look after our juniors. Many people on this forum know the people in the positions you are bagging. By NOT singling anyone out you've just tarred everyone with the same brush.

And as for me, again, it IS a problem that you know EXACTLY who I am, while I don't know who you are. I didn't assume anything. You know full well that my involvement as coach, senior player, and assistant to both senior grades in recent years places me well within the 'inner circle' and 'mates club' you've taken an exception to. By going ahead and making those comments with that knowledge in mind you have well and truly included me in them. And, we both know that this is not the first time you've had a little crack at me on here. You've now made it obvious that you have a personal problem with me. In future show some conviction. Show some backbone. Put your name to it.

Don't worry mods. Any further correspondence I pursue here will be via the PM, unless this attention avoider chooses to reveal themself.

Knowing some union people, the prediction is that Bundy will probably not last the league season. This season they had to borrow players from Wollondilly rugby to fulfil their committments and some of the better players they did have don't want to play league and are moving to Wollondilly as they have mates their that they went to school with in the southern highlands at Chevalier. Bundy have only left rugby as Illawarra rugby is shortsighted and won't accomodate them in the competition. Let's hope they get some players from MossVale and Goulburn to fulfil their committments as the Bundy boys are a good social bunch who enjoy a beer and have a great gound down there.

Bundy is here for the season. We will have plenty of players and won't drain mossy. We are sure of this as much as any other season. In all our years in ra ra we never nominated an uncontested scrum, such has been our dedication week in and out. Were also playing for a league history that dates many years. Were going to have a red hot go at this comp, so be prepared for a decent game. Let's not mention how many of our highlanders backed up dragons & blacks over the last few years. Finally we get a comp to suit our sintuation, we want to show what we can do.

I think you guys will be right, get the support of your town and have good local fellahs that like a beer together and enjoy, our 3rd grade is just this, they are mates on and off the field, our Anniversary night seen some members from the 2007 Premiership winning team returning to play 3rd Grade together, should be a good year. :correct:
